The vehicle's suspension is excessively stiff and harsh since new, transmitting all road imperfections, bumps, and irregularities directly to the driver and passengers, causing discomfort and fatigue. Additionally, there is abnormal noise (clunking/rattling/creaking/popping) from the steering rack area, especially when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, over bumps, or when stationary. The suspension components and steering rack assembly are available for inspection upon request. This condition affects safety by causing driver fatigue, reduced comfort/control on uneven roads, and potential distraction from steering noise indicating a possible developing failure in the steering system. The problems have been inspected and repair attempted by authorized Honda dealers on multiple occasions, but the issues persist and have not been resolved. The vehicle or component has been inspected by dealer service centers.

My fiance has a 2018 Honda Accord Sport Touring, this past Sunday he was giving me a ride and about 5 min of driving , after stopping for a red light , the light turned green he pushed the pedal and the car starting moving then all of a sudden warning lights were flashing , the engine light , remote not in car, oil light, air bag , low tire, etc. there was alot at the same time when the warning lights came on as he pushed the gas pedal the car stopped accelerating, and he said he had no power in the pedal ,there was heavy traffic, a car could of rear ended us but he was able to put his hazards on and coast around the corner before the car stopped. He shut the car off and back on and it drove like normal again. I was scared of course and just wanted to go home. When we got home he remembered he still had his fathers Obd scanner tool so he plugged it in the car and it showed no error codes. So that was really strange. He went to the store down the street the next day, but other then that he drives his work van and I have my own car. I was reading newsbreak and seen that honda recalled only hybrid and newer years and thought thats odd I should let someone know this happen to his 2018 accord , because Im sure it has to happen to others. We didnt take it in or call the police , but this clearly could of caused a crash had he not remained calm and put his flashers, everything happened so fast. Im sure he would let you inspect it, he works during the morning. I have no clue why it did that and neither does he. Thank you for your time.

Car started overheating randomly while driving and pulled over to see why. Opened the hood to white smoke everywhere and an active leak of coolant by the exhaust manifold. Took it to a mechanic and was told the cylinder head itself has porosity and/or a hairline crack. Pressure tested as well and can visibly see the leak coming from the cylinder head itself.

- #11705850December 18, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
1. What component or system failed? The ABS/VSA Modulator Control Unit (also known as the ABS pump or module). This system is responsible for Anti-lock Braking and Vehicle Stability Assist. 2. How was safety put at risk? The failure often results in the complete loss of Anti-lock Braking (ABS) and Stability Control (VSA). Increased Stopping Distance: In emergency braking situations, the wheels can lock up, leading to skidding and significantly longer distances to stop. Loss of Steering Control: Without VSA, the vehicle is prone to "plowing" (understeer) or spinning out (oversteer) during evasive maneuvers or on slippery surfaces (rain, snow, gravel). Brake Pedal Issues: Some owners report a "hard" or "unresponsive" brake pedal during the moment of failure, which causes a delay in braking response. This is a widely confirmed issue for 9th Gen Accords. Dealer Diagnosis: Most owners have this confirmed by a dealer through Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Common codes include 121-11 (VSA Solenoid Malfunction) or 81-20 (Acceleration Sensor Malfunction). Service Centers: Independent shops frequently see this issue and often recommend third-party rebuild services (like Module Master or UpFix) because the OEM replacement part from Honda is expensive ($1,500–$2,500) and frequently on backorder. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected? Manufacturer: While Honda has not issued a widespread safety recall for the 9th Gen module specifically (unlike the 2023 "Brake Hold" recall), many individual units have been inspected by dealer technicians. 5. Were there warning symptoms? The symptoms usually appear suddenly and without prior warning, often referred to as a "Christmas Tree" dash. Warning Lamps: The ABS, VSA (triangle with exclamation), Traction Control, and sometimes the Electric Power Steering (EPS) and TPMS lights all illuminate simultaneously.

I am the original owner of a 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid that I have taken to Envision Honda of Milpitas. I have been consistently maintaining according to Honda’s recommended service schedule. No prior issues were noted. What happened to it is beyond normal wear and tear (failed head gasket). My car only had 78,731 miles on it when incident happened. I did not have any concerns with the vehicle until 11/12/2025 while driving on Freeway. On 11/12/2025, while commuting home from work in the evening on the freeway, all warning lights came on (10/10 lights, including the check engine light). The vehicle could not exceed 50 mph on freeway, and began rumbling. The vehicle had no prior issues. I exited the freeway with hazard lights activated and contacted AAA for assistance. I took my car to Envision Honda of Milpitas the next day (11/13/2025) was informed that the head gasket was blown off. "Cylinder leak down test done and found head gasket is blown on chamber 1 causing the coolant to leak inside the combustion chamber and causes cylinder to misfire. Recommend to perform teardown and inspection, head gasket replacement and re-check." It was dangerous as I was not able to speed more than 50 mph in the freeway while other cars were going fast. I am currently pregnant and was scared.

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the vehicle intermittently stalled. While idling or utilizing cruise control, the vehicle suddenly accelerated to 70 after releasing the brake pedal. While entering the garage with her foot hovering over the brake pedal, the vehicle suddenly accelerated forward and crashed through the wall into the TV room. The brake light was flashing. There were no reported injuries, airbag deployments, fire or police report filed. The gas pipe was bent into the wall, but she was able to turn off the gas line. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who reset the computer and replaced the battery. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 6,090.

The contact's girlfriend owns a 2021 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while his girlfriend was driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light and several other unknown warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the engine was slightly misfiring while driving. An independent mechanic replaced the spark plugs and the ignition coils at the residence; however, the failure recurred 3 weeks later. The mechanic inspected the vehicle but could not determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with head gasket and fuel injector failure. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.

- #11705778December 18, 2025VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Problem Summary: While using the vehicle’s Traffic Assist / Adaptive Cruise Control (system that controls acceleration and braking in traffic), the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated toward a vehicle directly ahead as if no lead vehicle was present. This created an imminent rear-end collision risk. The issue occurred twice in the same drive. Incident Details: On 18 dec 2025 at about 5-15MPH/ “stop-and-go traffic”], I was driving with Traffic Assist / Adaptive Cruise Control enabled, which normally manages throttle and braking in traffic. I was following a semi tractor (no trailer attached). The semi was approximately 15–20 feet in front of me. While the system was engaged and operating normally moments before, the vehicle accelerated forward as if the lane was clear, despite the semi being directly ahead. I had to apply the brakes manually to prevent a collision. A short time later in the same traffic situation, the vehicle did it again—it accelerated toward the same type of lead vehicle and I again had to brake to avoid rear-ending it. During the second event, I observed the instrument cluster / driver display showing the lead semi incorrectly identified as a passenger car instead of a truck, and the display showed that “car” accelerating away, which was inaccurate and did not match real conditions. This suggests the system may have misclassified or failed to track the lead vehicle, leading to unintended acceleration.

Steering rack is starting to creak non stop, it began around 4k miles, the car currently has 5,350 miles. Brought car to Lia Honda, Northampton, Ma. They tightened up all front suspension bolts but this did nothing and told me "drive the car more to see if the noise goes away" However after spending 5 mins researching on the internet I came across a plethora of 11th gen accord owners complaining about this specific noise and even multiple video recordings of it. From what I gather there is a defective worm gear and spring tension or something along these lines with numerous owners having their entire steering rack replaced under warranty. However many of those who's steering rack was replaced began to hear this ever present, constant creaking noise all the time and I do mean all of the time. a Perplexity AI, Chatgpt, or Google AI leads to an alarming amount of owners having to deal with this issue. So currently my purchased brand new in may of 2024 honda accord with 5.3K odd miles on it is creaking non stop at all times other than driving straight on the highway. It is incredible to me at least that honda has not issued a recall as they did with the civics and crvs with essentially the same problem. Thank you for your time.

Speakers produce full volume static, this loud static sound is unavoidable, it occurs randomly when the car is on and when the audio is on, but once it starts making static sounds, it won't stop. Source input also does not matter. Some observations I have made are that: •It is extremely cold in New Jersey and after the heater is on high for a while and when the car is warmed up it starts to make these unavoidable static sounds. •When the audio is turned off sometimes the static goes away but sometimes it stays even when the audio is turned off. •Once it starts making static sounds, even turning off the car and turning it back on with the audio off doesn't make the static sounds go away. Only when the car is off for a while and it gets cold again, it stops the static sounds. It is extremely cold in New Jersey around this time of the year, and it is impossible to drive without the heater. Once the loud static sounds start, it won't stop and it creates distractions while driving, almost causing me to get into an accident. Lots of people with the same car are having this issue and lots of reddit users are also reporting this issue and most of the people with this issue seem to have some mention of heat causing it or it occurs on hot days. Dealership is not helping either and they can't figure out the cause of the problem. They are suggesting changing the car audio (Head Unit) at customer's expense. A lot of people on reddit reporting the issue mentioned submitting a complaint to the NHTSA, I see there are already some complaints regarding the loud static sounds on here. Dealership is no help, and Honda doesn’t seem to have any Recalls for this either. Need More complaints and a Recall for this!

The vehicle, a 2019 Honda Accord, experienced a catastrophic engine failure (blown head gasket) and entered "Limp Mode" after being operated for approximately 18 months with an unaddressed, high-priority federal safety recall (NHTSA 23V-858). The vehicle currently displays DTCs P0100, P0113, and P023D, which indicate severe air/fuel metering and boost pressure correlation failures. Primary Cause: Consequential Thermal Stress The primary cause is likely thermal degradation of the head gasket resulting from a prolonged "lean-burn" condition. Recall Defect: The recalled fuel pump impeller is known to deform, restricting fuel flow. Lean Condition: A restricted fuel supply causes the engine to run "lean" (too much air, not enough fuel). Lean combustion is significantly hotter than normal combustion. Heat Accumulation: Over 1.5 years of operation with this restricted flow, the engine experienced repeated, excessive thermal cycles that compromised the structural integrity of the head gasket. Limp Mode Trigger: The stored codes (P0100/P0113) show the ECU was struggling to compensate for the erratic fuel/air environment created by the failing pump. Secondary Assessment (The Dealer's Claim): The Service Advisor (Paul) has alleged that aftermarket components and a missing turbo gasket caused the failure. Assessment: While aftermarket parts increase scrutiny, a missing external turbo gasket typically causes an exhaust leak or loss of boost, not an internal head gasket failure. Contradiction: The dealer must provide empirical proof that these parts caused the failure, whereas the NHTSA recall is a pre-documented, manufacturer-admitted defect known to cause the exact stalling and "limp mode" symptoms the vehicle is currently exhibiting. Conclusion: The most probable cause is manufacturer negligence. By failing to provide a remedy part for 18 months, the manufacturer forced the vehicle to operate under a documented defect that creates the exact high-heat conditions required to cau

While driving my 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, VIN [XXX] , the car would start exhibiting rough engine feels, and all of the dashboard lights would come on. The car would lose power at highway speeds, and I’d have to pull over to turn the car off and on. When checking on OBDII meter, getting P0301 codes. I have replaced the coils and plugs twice and still not better. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Gas filler "system" does not have screw on/off gas cap. It has a rubber covering with a slit through which driver inserts gasoline station hose metal nozzle. When removing gasoline station hose nozzle, rubber slit "appears to close" but drops of gasoline remain on the rubber covering & drop onto the vehicle body. I wipe off gasoline drops with paper towel. I'm concerned about large amount of gasoline used & question if "rubber slit covering" provided instead of a tighten screw on/off gas cap allows gasoline/vapor to evaporate & condense on rubber covering of car fuel delivery hose to tank. This occurs in very cold weather as well as warm weather. Recall information on "Honda Fuel Pump" doesn't include this vehicle fuel delivery system issue. Aunt sold me the 2019 Honda Accord Sedan recently on [XXX]. I didn't notice this "no locked gas door" (push on gasoline door to open the door) which opens to rubber "pouch with slit" covering over delivery hose filling area down to gas tank. Aunt sees these 2 mechanisms as making filling gas tank easier without release of inside lever lock to gas delivery door nor having to turn a screw cap to open/close at gas station fueling. Aunt is instructed by Honda DarCar/Fairfax, VA to take Honda Accord in for maintenance only once a year. She was told she can check electronics system info regarding "% oil life remaining" as guide to when to get an oil change. A problem at this point is an alterable/'reset-able" electronics guide to when to get an oil change which can change "% oil life remaining" by accidental reset. By comparison, my now out-of-service 2011 Honda Accord had a normal locked gas filling door release from inside which opened onto a screw cap which could be tightened to stop gas vapor leak, evaporation/condensation & for gas theft & vandalism protection & an unalterable "% oil life remaining" wrench icon which resets only after oil change. Has this been reported? [XXX] [XXX] Dec 17, 2025. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C

I own a 2019 Honda Accord equipped with the 1.5L turbocharged engine. At approximately [142,000] miles, the vehicle began overheating and losing coolant with no visible external leaks. A Honda dealership diagnosed the vehicle with a blown head gasket caused by coolant intrusion into the engine. The repair cost quoted was several thousand dollars. Honda has denied goodwill assistance dates DEC 16, 2025 at 1:35PM, despite documented maintenance and the widespread nature of this issue in Honda 1.5L turbo engines. This failure occurred under normal driving conditions and presents a safety concern due to sudden overheating, loss of engine power, and potential engine failure while driving. I believe this is a known design defect affecting multiple Honda vehicles, and Honda has failed to properly disclose or remedy the issue.

My 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid (approx. 37,500 miles) has developed a dangerous steering defect identical to the widely known 'Sticky Steering' issue affecting the 2022-2025 Civic and CR-V. The Safety Incident: While driving at highway speeds (45-70 mph), the steering wheel physically 'sticks' or 'locks' in the center position. To make minor lane corrections, I must apply abnormal force to break the wheel free, causing it to 'snap' or jerk suddenly. This leads to overcorrection and an inability to maintain a safe, straight line in my lane. This 'stiction' worsens after the vehicle warms up (20+ minutes of driving). The Component: This exhibits the exact symptoms of a defective worm gear/steering gearbox assembly (swelling of internal components due to heat), which is currently under recall/investigation for other Honda models. Dealer Response: The dealer Wyler Honda of Florence (KY) confirmed the symptoms but refused a warranty repair because the vehicle is 1,500 miles past the 36k limit, despite this being a known manufacturing safety defect. They requested a diagnostic fee to inspect a safety hazard. I am reporting this to force a recall for the 2025 Accord, as it clearly shares the defective steering rack components found in the recalled Civic/CR-V/Integra models.
