The Radio in my 2021 GMC Acadia had to be replaced due to an UPDATE Failure. I had to pay $221.32 for diagnostic and $1,580.18 for a new Radio. My Husband and I are the original owners of the 2021 GMC Acadia. My Dissatisfaction is why are some GMC products under recall for this issue but my 2021 GMC Acadia not part of the recall. The Hands free calling was not working, the GPS and also affected the back up Camera. all of these . a response is requested

The back up camera failed at 36200 miles and the dealer will not fix. I see there was a recall on 2021 models due to bad cable.

My 2019 GMC Acadia is now undergoing the same repair for at least the second time. This is the common issue known as the Shift-To-Park issue. You can read about it here - [XXX] Below are the commonly affected years: 2017 – Acadia 2018 – Acadia 2019 – several models (I own a 2019 GMC Acadia) 2020 – several models 2021 – Acadia and Traverse Despite falling into the year, make, model and issue - When I look up my VIN - No recall or warranty information is available, saying that my vehicle is NOT affected by this issue. However, this is now the 2nd (maybe 3rd) time I am having to come out of pocket to have this issue repaired. It originally happened in July of 2022 with around 40-44k miles on the vehicle. It is now happening again May of 2025 with around 72k miles on the vehicle. If I search further back, I imagine the first owner may have had the same work done too. Clearly this vehicle is affected by the issue buy according to my VIN it is not. GM (General Motors) told me that they offer no sort of help or reimbursement unless my VIN is associated with the issue. Can you guys please either add my VIN or extend out the warranty / recalls to ALL - Because this is absurd. My car doesn't recognize that it is in Park and stays on, preventing me from shutting down the vehicle / engine. When putting my GMC Acadia in Park and shutting off the push start ignition the alarm goes off saying it’s not in park when it is clearly in park so I have to continuously start the car and try to keep putting it in park and shut ignition off. I googled it and saw there was a recall so took it to dealership but my vin was not included. I feel my safety is at risk as my battery also went dead stranding me in another city with my young grandkids on February 23rd, and I had a large bill to get a jump as well, I believe due to this same electrical issue! We are waiting on estimate now to get it fixed which is ridiculous as it is the same issue that is covered on many other of the same model vehicles! You should really look into this and maybe other electrical safety concerns costing consumers thousands of dollars on all these GMC vehicles it doesn’t seem fair. Thank you.

While driving the thermostat will go to zero and the steering assist is disabled. I have read a lot of forums that this is a known issue. The only way to reset it, so we have A/C is to disconnect the battery and it will last a day or two and do the same thing.

The shift to park notification keeps coming on everytime we go to put the car into park. It takes about five to ten minutes shifting back and forth to get the car to shut off.

I was driving along [XXX] . I stopped at Walmart and shopped for about 2 hours. I was Leaving Walmart and was stopped at a red light at the exit from Walmart [XXX] and traction control light comes on and a message came up and stated traction control off and to service stability control and the vehicle loses power right at the light. I checked everything I could and dis connect the battery for about 30 minutes and connected the battery back up vehicle still would not start. After sitting there for 3 hours the vehicle starts up. A week later the same thing happens again. I had to go through all the steps again so after a couple of hours. The vehicle started up. A few days later it happens shin but this time I'm at a stop sign on a busy road. I called Road side service for a tow. No one showed up so I went through Ll those same steps of disconnecting the battery and hooking it back up after a couple of hours and it stated up. I drove it home and started doing some research and found something saying to change the brake pedal position sensor so I done that and it worked for a few days and started doing the same thing all over again. S week later I drive it to the store and got almost home and the vehicle shut down again and would not start back up. I had it towed to my uncle shop Nd he done a diagnostic on it and got about 4 or 5 codes. All of those things are very expensive to purchase. I just ran the Vin to check for recalls on the vehicle but couldn't find any but it should have been a lot of recalls because there are so many of these vehicles the exact same model and year with trouble with stability control ND brake and traction control issues. All the issues they hD on this car thT I have should not have been sold to anyone except the manufacturer. I wish I could just get my money back that I paid for it. $4700.00 not included in the work I had done like the cv axles replace on both sides in the front.
