ENGINE
On XXX my Acadia started flashing dash lights and messages and had significantly reduced engine power and power steering. This caused it to come near to a stop in the middle of the [XXX] eastbound span. There is no area to pull over so I limped the car the rest of the way at 20 mph with hazards on. Vehicle was leaking oil and had camshaft trouble codes. I took it to a mechanic and was told it should go to a GM dealer because it needed major engine work. The dealer replaced the oil pan and other things. The car was returned to me only to have to go immediately back for the same camshaft trouble code. The car was repaired and again returned to me only for it to start leaking a significant amount of oil. The car went back to the shop (about 1 week after picking it up) and was diagnosed with a fault crankshaft seal. This was covered by GM because the mechanic had just replaced the crankshaft seal during the first visit. The car was returned to me, again, and is currently leaking oil again from what appears to be the crankshaft. If it is the crankshaft seal, this will be the 4th visit in 2 months, 3 directly involving the crankshaft area. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Vehicle stalled several times. Check engine light and many code came up. Crack sensors replaced. Veh still stalls. Dealer and independent dealer believes it might be cpu. All wires from cpu checked with no issue found. When veh stalls if you manipulate the wire veh will start and run with demished power and demished steering control. Rpm go to off mode. Has happened on highway and side road. Very scary with 3 kids in car on highway.... not able to resolve issue. Veh has a little less then 60k

The car seat hasn't failed but it was involved in an accident caused by a driver rear ending me. The seat is unusable and the insurance company is refusing to cover the cost of a replacement. They have told me to purchase a used one . The seat I have is 1 year old and has an expiration date of November 15, 2034. They claim car seats depreciate.

Steering assist warning comes on when I start the car and then the engine fan starts up very loudly and code PO128. My car has 48,000 miles and is a 2018. I am seeing this is a known issue and should be part of a recall so I want to know if it’s covered.

STEERING, ENGINE
Car was running great and mins later I get an error stating steering assist is reduced -Drive with care. Vehicles temperature gauge is stuck at cold and fans turn on after turning off the vehicle. I had the vehicle serviced at Dave White on Alexis Rd in Sylvania almost exactly a year ago for the same reason. Was told by the service manager the issue was a computer update and not the thermostat and proceeded to charge for the "update" no issues with vehicle until now.

ENGINE, STEERING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Received message dash stating "Steering Assist is Reduced, Drive with Care". The AC turned off and temp gauge went to "C". Noticeable difficulty steering at both highway speeds and on city streets. While driving to auto shop the message disappeared, AC turned on and temp went back to normal. About and hour later while diving on the interstate it happened again and steering was difficult again. This first occurred on August 24, then again on September 12 and October 21 and again on October 25. No consistency as for time of day or outside temp. Lasts for a few hours then goes back to normal but when it happens randomly it does pose a safety issue with difficulty steering and no lane assist.

The back windshield randomly made a loud pop out of nowhere and completely shattered while I was driving in my car with 2 people in the backseat. This put everybody safety at risk bc the glass popped and shattered into the vehicle. There were no objects thrown at the vehicle and nothing hit the back window at that time.

2022 Acadia a bulletin you posted for defective thermostat. My wife’s car shows exact symptoms but dealership says it’s not included in recall posted by you. Only mentioned car has gremlins? Can you look into expanding your recall since the exact symptoms are as described. By the way I also house a Gm Sierra with a 6.2 and that nightmare continues

SERVICE BRAKES
On October 23, 2026 at about 7:25 AM, while my wife was driving our leased 2025 GMC Acadia (20,773 miles) with our son in the car, the vehicle displayed 'Brake assist failure. Press hard to brake. Speed limited.' The ABS and traction control warning lights came on and the brake pedal became very hard to press due to loss of brake assist. No crash or injuries occurred. This failure matches the eBoost electronic brake control module issue under NHTSA Engineering Analysis EA26006 covering 2024-2026 GMC Acadia. My wife is afraid to drive the vehicle. The vehicle is currently at the dealer for repair. I am requesting that NHTSA record this incident and that GM be required to remedy this safety defect and release us from the lease.

I am reporting three safety-related incidents involving a 2023 GMC Acadia SLE purchased XXX. 1. XXX – Washer Pump: Since purchase, the windshield washer pump activated but no fluid sprayed. The issue was reported at purchase. During repairs on December 5, we were told the pump had smoked and nearly caught fire. Warranty records list a washer pump repair costing $474.81. 2. XXX – Severe Shaking and Loss of Power: The vehicle developed severe shaking, reduced power, and a flashing check-engine light. It could only travel about 25 mph and had to be towed to a dealership. Warranty records list a camshaft position actuator repair costing $516.36. 3. XXX – Unexpected Shutdown: While driving toward [XXX], the vehicle shut off without warning at a traffic light. Multiple warning lights illuminated, and the emergency parking brake activated. The driver disengaged the brake and moved the vehicle to a nearby parking lot. These separate incidents raise serious concerns about the vehicle's safety and reliability, including potential fire risk, loss of power, and unexpected shutdown while driving. The vehicle had approximately 47,490 miles at purchase and now has approximately 79,000 miles. I request that NHTSA document these incidents and determine whether they indicate a potential safety defect or warrant further investigation. Complete diagnostic reports and repair orders are not currently available. I can provide additional information if needed. The repeated failures create concerns about the vehicle's ability to operate safely and reliably. An unexpected shutdown in traffic could cause a collision or leave the vehicle in a dangerous position. I request that these incidents be considered together when evaluating whether further investigation is warranted.These incidents occurred on separate dates and involved different vehicle systems. The contact owns a 2018 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle inside the garage, shifting to park(P) and turning off the vehicle, the vehicle suddenly rolled backwards approximately 3 feet. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions and the vehicle only moved backwards. During one failure, the vehicle almost struck a pedestrian walking behind it. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions, but no fault codes were retrieved and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.

The contact owns a 2022 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, the vehicle struck a deer head-on. The contact stated that none of the air bags deployed during the crash. The contact stated that the driver's seat belt became inoperable. The contact stated that the plastic covering detached, the seat belt fell apart and slipped, and the seat belt failed to retract. The contact sought medical attention at a local emergency room one day after the crash for back and neck injuries. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a service center for repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed for the air bag or seat belt failures. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.

STEERING
My 2023 GMC Acadia has a toe link issue in the rear suspension. This is according to the GMC Service Department in Marquette MI. Is this a possible safety issue, I really don't know. It does make a horrible clunking sound when I steer sharply which vibrates the car. So I definitely believe this does affect the steering. No question I will have to get this fixed ASAP.

Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness
The magnetic chest clip does NOT latch. It can easily be pulled apart by hand. It compromises my child’s safety tremendously by allowing the harness straps to slip off of her shoulders in event of a crash leading to a projected infant. Upon doing further research and posting in my moms group on facebook i’ve found countless reports dating back to 2023 where this magnetic chest clip is a terrible design and idea. Many consumers reported to the manufacturer and received multiple replacements and regretted buying the $360+ car seat. It needs recalled and removed IMMEDIATELY before they have an ejected child lawsuit or many.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The contact owns a 2021 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, traffic stopped abruptly, and the brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard; however, the vehicle continued to accelerate while the Forward Collision Avoidance warning feature activated with a red warning light on the instrument panel. The contact attempted to steer off the road to avoid a collision; however, the vehicle crashed into the vehicle ahead, resulting in a three-vehicle collision. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. Another driver involved claimed unknown injuries, and the contact sustained whiplash but did not seek medical attention. Police were called, but a police report was not filed at the scene. The vehicle was towed to an independent tow yard. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.

exhaust flex pipe is cracked. Causes fumes of gas to be released through the crack. inspected by GMC Repair shop Vibrating noise started, then a few days later the smell of gas, and now yes the Engine light is on. This has been on going for about 3 weeks.
