ON YOUR VEHICLE, THE WHEEL END HUB BOLT IN THE REAR AXLE MAY BECOME LOOSE OR BREAK. CONTINUED DRIVING WITH A BROKEN BOLT MAY LEAD TO WEAR WITHIN THE AXLE AND DAMAGE THE AXLE HUB SPLINES. I’ve been contacting ford dealerships in my area trying to get this safety recall replaced over the last year every two or three months. I get the same excuse the part is on back order, we have 70,000 on back order others have said 35,000. Yet there is no timetable for when the part will be available. In the meantime I have to drive a vehicle that has had the top of the bolt connecting the tire to the axel snapped off. Ford has completely failed in remedying this issue since the recall and by their numbers making it so 70,000 people possibly have a broken vehicle that they are not repairing or replacing like the safety recall states.

There is currently a recall on 4 of the sensors on the same rail n the transmission due to it locking in 3rd or 5th gear. When I took the truck in they pulled the codes and it was not one of the 4 so Ford does not have an active recall. There was another person in line in front of me who had the same issue on the same two codes.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted, and the vehicle lost motive power and decelerated. Additionally, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the vehicle with the power train warning light illuminated. The dealer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was confirmed. The contact was informed that an unknown PCM software update was completed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not associated with a recall related to the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Fuel pump failed while driving causing vehicle to be disabled in a roadway blocking traffic. The vehicle was then incapable of shifting to neutral so that it could be moved out of the roadway. A Ford dealer confirmed the faulty fuel pump and replaced the part. Ford appears to know this is a safety issue as per recall campaign 25S75/25V455 but they have refused to pay for the replacement fuel pump.

Driving down Highway 6/34. Cruise set at 65 mph. The truck on its own Shifted into 2nd gear and revving up the engine caused the vehicle to slow uncontrollably, which is very unsafe driving. The 2016 has a safety recall to prevent this from happening. I am writing this to report that my truck has had the recall done, and this still happened. I will park the truck until Ford can fix it. But they are trying to get out of fixing this safety issue with all these trucks. At 65 mph, I lost control of the truck, and thank goodness there were no other vehicles on the road around me

My 2018 Ford F-150 experienced significant heat damage involving the fog lamp assembly. The fog lamp did not simply stop working. The assembly became hot enough that portions of the lamp/assembly melted and burned. I discovered the damage before it resulted in a larger vehicle fire, but I am concerned about the potential fire risk associated with this failure. The vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership, where the damaged fog lamp assembly was identified and replacement was recommended. I am reporting this because the amount of heat generated and the visible melting/burning appear to represent a potential vehicle safety and fire hazard. I have requested that the Ford dealership document the damage, photograph the affected components, and report the issue to Ford for review.

After Fords TCM recall the truck’s transmission has not acted correctly, very hard shifts, staggered shifting and warning lights for shifting issues or low power due to loss of signal from computer. It has gotten worse it now is sticking in 4th and 7th gear, acts as if slipping and completely stopped the truck in a busy intersection where I had to shut the vehicle off and restart before it would go in gear manually. Truck has lunged forward in reverse, went into low gear on the interstate and have given codes for fault detection. I’ve had the vehicle look at by a certified mechanic and his computer shows no connection between computer and transmission then shows partial connection and the full connection. Torque Converter shows good and so do the cliches and solenoids. This is dangerous and could cause an accident if not fixed, whatever ford’s update was has made my computer loose connection with the transmission and has put a fault that could possibly cause an accident or fire.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds, the transmission violently downshifted, causing the rear wheels to lose traction and the contact almost lost control of the vehicle. The lead frame failure message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, and DTC: P0720-00 (OSS Circuit Malfunction), P0722-00 (OSS Circuit No Signal), and P1500-00 (VSS Intermittent Failure) were retrieved. The mechanic confirmed that the molded lead frame inside the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced; the transmission needed to be serviced. The brake master cylinder on my 2019 F150 had a seal leak which caused all brake fluid loss while towing with my family. Luckily we were able to stop safely, not only for us but others nearby. I know this is a recall that affects vehicles in other years but mine was not included and I feel like it should be because we had total brake failure. This is already documented by Ford recall number 25S37 (which aligns with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's number 25V-236). I feel like Ford needs to expand the recall to other years as it seems the defective part is more widespread to the ones they recalled. I had a Ford dealer replace the master cylinder and brake booster which is Ford's recommendation based on the rear seal leak of the master cylinder. A low brake fluid warning was all that appeared and by the time I was going to safely stop to check fluid level, there was no braking pressure.

The 10 speed transmission does not shift smoothly and will periodically shift hard when downshifting from 4 to 3 and 3 to 2. Ford is aware of bushing walking which they addressed in 2022. I am one year out of my warranty which Ford would not address when under warranty but issue was less of an issue. Now that it is routinely shifting rough, they will not stand behind their transmission they knew was problematic. I have on numerous occasions been almost rear ended because they hard shift mimics a hard braking without warning.

Performance Ford in Utah falsified a federal safety recall completion for Recall 26S28/19V446000 on my 2016 F-150. They only performed a software flash, manually wiped the transmission's safety fault codes from the memory cache, and joyrode my vehicle for 200 unauthorized miles. They returned the vehicle to me unrepaired, where it immediately suffered an erratic downshifting hazard and engine limp mode, endangering my safety.
