SummarySome 2024 F-150 vehicles may exhibit no audio output when using Spotify. Audio output may recover with a key cycle. This may be due to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software. Replacement or reprogramming of the APIM will not resolve this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in Q3 2024. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle's settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in Q3 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

SummaryFor 2015-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines and customer concern of an engine oil leak, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-00 for oil leak inspection and testing methods. Ford has evaluated turbochargers replaced for oil leak symptoms and although oil may collect on the external surface of a turbocharger, it is extremely rare for a turbocharger assembly to be the root cause of the oil leak. Careful inspection of the turbocharger oil feed and drain tubes should be performed along with the recommended WSM procedures as needed. Warranty claims for turbocharger replacement going forward will be assessed.

SummarySome 2021-2024 Bronco/F-150, 2023-2024 Escape/F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience a concern during accessory protocol interface module (APIM) programming where the vehicle's center display screen indicates USB Error. This may be due to a lack of memory space available to perform the APIM software update. If it is a memory concern, the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) will provide an option to delete the voice application. Re-enter the module programming and when prompted, do not select first option - SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update, select the second option - Delete Voice Application(s) From Module. Once deleted, run the SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update as directed, this will update the software and automatically reload the voice app. If the voice delete option is not available, continue with normal diagnostics in the Workshop Manual, Section 418.

SummarySome 2024 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost may set incorrect cylinder misfire DTCs while the CSER monitor is active. The CSER monitor runs for approximately 3 minutes after a cold soak start-up. If a misfire occurs while the CSER monitor is running, the powertrain control module (PCM) software strategy may set an incorrect cylinder misfire code. Prior to a repair attempt, allow the vehicle to run for at least 3 minutes and verify any individual cylinder misfire codes by performing a Power Balance Test using the Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in Q3 2024. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle's settings. SummaryDuring service and repair requiring removal and replacement of a crankshaft bolt and/or crankshaft damper, achieving proper torque of the crankshaft pulley bolt is critical. Incorrect torque may allow the bolt to loosen resulting in the timing gear breaking and engine damage. Replacement of the bolt is critical to the repair and accurately following the installation procedure in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section, 303-01 is extremely important. The bolt torque procedure can be found in the crankshaft front seal removal and installation procedure or in the engine assembly procedure.

SummarySome 2024 Nautilus and F-150 vehicles may incorrectly list the keyless entry keypad code card on the loose item checklist. 2024 Nautilus and F-150 vehicles in North America do not include keyless entry keypad code cards. Clients are now able to retrieve the vehicle's keyless entry keypad master access code in vehicle by following the instructions in the master access code card (available only on F-150) or in the Owners Manual > Keyless Entry Keypad Master Access Code. This process requires the use of two programmed intelligent access keys.

SummarySome 2024 F-150 vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0534:00 in the powertrain control module (PCM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to the PCM responding to large changes in ambient temperatures from warm to below freezing when the vehicle has less than 62 miles (100 km) and still in a rapid learn mode for the ambient air temperature logic. The rapid update to the temperature can result in the vehicle setting this DTC. DTC P0534:00 does not affect vehicle drivability and has no effect on vehicle operation. No additional diagnostics or service is required for this condition at this time. DTC P0534:00 is a background diagnostic code for service only and does not illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), powertrain malfunction indicator (wrench), or provide any indication to the vehicle operator. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q2 2024. Replacement or reprogramming of the PCM will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional informati

SummarySome 2021-2024 Mustang Mach-E, 2022-2024 E-Transit/F-150 Lightning vehicles may have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P1A3C stored in the off-board charger controller module (OBCC). The P1A3C is commonly set due to an interruption of the direct current (DC) fast charging process and should be disregarded. All other DTCs stored in the OBCC are to be addressed using applicable publications and/or normal diagnostics found in Workshop Manual, Section 414-03B.

SummarySome 2024 F-150 Lightning vehicles placed in emergency tow state may exhibit a missing pop-up message from the instrument panel cluster (IPC) during early vehicle re-entry with the key in the OFF position. If the vehicle has not fully entered sleep mode or locked, entry through any door within 10-30 minutes may not induce pop-up message visibility when the key is still in the OFF position. Changing the ignition key state to ON will result in a visible emergency tow pop-up message in the IPC. This may be due to the IPC software. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in Q2 2024. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. SummarySome 2023 F-150 equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine built on or after 3-Nov-2023 may exhibit an intermittent no start and Stop Safely Now message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and/or diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U0293 and/or P1A43 in the BECM or in connected vehicle data. A gateway module A (GWM) software concern may be triggering the no start condition. This does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that the vehicle will start after leaving it off temporarily. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in March 2024. SummarySome 2024 F-150 Lightning vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0594:68 in the heat pump valve control module (HPVCM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to HPVCM sensitivity while in accessory mode. DTC U0594:68 has no effect on functionality and will automatically become a historical DTC which can be cleared. Replacement or reprogramming of the HPVCM will not resolve this condition. DTC U0594:68 should be ignored if no other DTCs are present in the HPVCM, no warning indicators are illuminated while the vehicle is on, and no symptoms present. No further service action is required.
