SERVICE BRAKES
On September 30 I was on my way to work as I was merging to join a busy highway my breaks failed to work. I had to press them really hard but it took for ever to yield. I made hand signals to the cars I was about to strike and they were able to break before I hit them as I was merging. When this happened 3 service lights appeared. Service ESC system, Break assist failure. Press hard to break.Speed limited. Key missing, check for key. i had an appointment for a cracked windshield on Friday the 3rd and Richland Chevrolet in Roswell. I took my traverse in on Wednesday afternoon and never heard back from them. on Monday October 6 I called and they advised me that my car needed a master cylinder and it was on back order. They said they could not give me an ETA because they have no idea when it will be available. They do not have a loaner because I did not purchase the vehicle their so I called the dealership where I bought it and they cant help me either.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Received a "Service Battery Charging System" dash warning message driving down the highway. Made it home and changed the battery but the issue persists and I can't drive the car. Reading online many complaints/problems with alternator and electrical premature failures. Car is a little more than 4 years old and has only 23,600 miles. Getting the car to the Chevy dealer tomorrow to diagnose problem and fix. If car were to stall out at highway speeds it could be very dangerous. This problem should receive further investigation by NHTSA. Shouldn't have electrical failures on cars with 23,000 miles.

While going around 40mph I approached a stopped vehicle and tried to come to a stop. At this time my braking system failed, speeding the car up instead of slowing it down, this resulted in my car rear ending another vehicle. When the car accident occurred my steering wheel air bag came out but did not inflate. There were no warning lamps or messages at the time of the crash. Due to the laws in Mississippi it was declared I was at fault and the insurance company will not inspect or cover the damages.

The front passenger door does not open from the interior causing passenger to be trapped within. The only way to open passenger door is from the exterior. I took Traverse to GM dealership on September 30, 2025. GM dealership removed door panel, and stated the front door lock cable was not attached to door handle assembly. Traverse was repaired on October 1, 2025. The charge was $199.99 plus tax. I purchased this car used in July 2024.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the Brake Assist Fault warning light illuminated, and the vehicle failed to stop in adequate time. The contact applied more pressure to the brake pedal for the brakes to properly engage. The contact was able to drive the vehicle home, while needing to apply excessive pressure to the brake pedal and allow for additional stopping distance while depressing the brake pedal. The dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled, but the vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.

Received "shift to park message" after car was placed in park mode; was unable to turn the car off. Had to restart and take the gear in and out of park multiple times before I was able to turn the car off. The sensors did not recognize that the car was in park. Took the car to the Chevy dealership. They discovered an internal fault that caused the vehicle to not recognize that it was in park. Chevy replaced the gearshift assembly and jumper harness. The "shift to park" error message is no longer present (for now). I'm concerned this may happen again; my cost to repair was $651.24. This repair should be covered under a vehicle recall as it is an ongoing issue with some Chevrolet vehicles, along with the persistent squeaky brakes. This shift to park issue is not covered if the bumper-to-bumper warranty has expired. It may, however, be covered if you have an extended warranty. There are multiple vehicles reported with this issue as seen in the online forums. Some models were previously recalled or repair cost was covered by Chevy.

The contact moved the gear shifter, and the warning light turned off. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer nor an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 54,195.

The service ESC, service brake assist came on. The ABS light, Brake light, crash light and lane assist light are all on. The dealership said it is the Brake Master Cylinder and module with fluid that is the problem and it is on national back order.

my wife was driving and she got warning lights for "brake assist failure" "speed limited" and "Service ESC". Brake pedal went all the way to floor and she came to a rolling stop. She couldve been in a accident if there were vehicles in front of her and it was also near a school bus stop. We recieved the vehicle from the shop a week ago today for other issues. (onstar). Was also in shop at dealership prior to that for coolant leak, a/c failure and a loud humming noise. Also door latch to rear hatch.

Onstar Telematics module failure. Zero connectivity with onstar in the event of theft or crash. Also causing loss of navigation, wifi, and supercruise. Cannot connect to gm app for vehicle updates or to start engine, or lock/unlock doors. Dealer syates the part is on back order with no eta.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Started 09/17/25: While braking, a front-end clunk or thud occurs. Directly afterwards, a cluster of warning lights appeared including Brake, ABS, Collision avoidance/forward collision, and Stabile track stability control) Brake pedal is now inconsistent and soft. Every time the brakes are activated, the thud or clunk occurs. When I start the vehicle, I get warning messages of Service Brake Assist, Service ESC on the dash that I must acknowledge. Called Hendricks Chevy Columbia SC on 9/18/25. Told to bring into dealership on 9/19/25. Dealership attempted diagnosis but could not. They bled brakes and reset all warning lights. I drove car approx. 10 miles and symptoms reoccurred, including all warning lights and thud/clunk. Called Dealership again and told to bring into on 9/22/25. It is now 9/23/25 and they have not diagnosed it yet. I was assigned a loaner car for 5 days.

Shift to park warning comes on every time I put my car into park. I can give the gear shift a hard tap so it can go into park and my car will turn off. I feel like after a period of tapping the great shift it will turn into a bigger problem.

- Brake assist system failure -Electronic stability control alert - Brake pedal goes to the floor and car doesn't stop -Potential master cylinder malfunction due to faulty part. (See photo below). Safety of self and others put at risk as car became uncontrollable due to complete loss of braking power while driving. Dealership has not notified yet due to long waiting of other vehicles undergoing maintenance (in my case 2 days at time of this report) Part hasn’t been inspected yet. Issue seems in line with similar incident referring to other 2025 and 2024 Traverse molels. Warning signs and alerts appeared only at time of incident (See photo below)
