The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the steering wheel vibrated abnormally, and the steering wheel was difficult to hold steady. The contact stated that extra effort was needed to secure the steering wheel while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The contact stated that the TPMS was providing erroneous operating information and alerts. The contact inspected the vehicle and became aware that the cross member near the steering rack had a fractured in the frame. The vehicle was taken to a Toyota Collision Center, where a mechanic determined that the entire sub frame needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the Toyota Collision Center for assistance. The manufacturer opened a case for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 148,857.

I feel a slight thud when hitting exactly 40MPH. This happens in Normal, Sport, and Echo. I can feel the thud from the steering wheel and gas pedal. I think it is a transmission fault since it happens exactly at 40 every time, even on smooth roads.

We were driving down the highway and there was a startling loud explosion and I pulled the vehicle to the side of the road for inspection. I discovered that the rear panoramic sunroof had completely shattered, with no obvious cause. There were no other vehicles around. It was sunny and 90 degree F ambient air temperature outside. The air conditioner was running at the time. Fortunately the headliner screen was closed, otherwise the rear passengers may have been showered with broken glass.

ENGINE
The engine seized up with 25,000 miles on it, on May 25th, 2025. I was not listed as under the engine recall, so they did a "Short Block" rebuild under warranty. I feel like this is insufficient and my vehicle should be under the recall for an entire new engine. My safety was put at risk because the vehicle shut down out of nowhere on a busy highway with narrow shoulders. I had to wait on the side of the road until a tow truck could get to me. Dealer confirmed it was seized up and ordered the short block replacement. No warning at all before the engine seized up.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V566000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 25V322000 (Exterior Lighting); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair and the vehicle was inspected. The contact was informed that the parts needed to be ordered, and the parts were ordered. The dealer contacted the contact, and the contact was informed that the parts were available. The contact scheduled an appointment for the recall repair however, when the vehicle was taken to the dealer, the contact was informed that the parts were sold. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owned a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked in front the detached garage, the vehicle caught on fire and the incident was caught on the neighbor's camera at 4:31 AM. The neighbor then informed the contact of the incident. The contact noticed that the vehicle had caught on fire and the fire was mainly coming out of the gas pillar area. The contact stated that the entire vehicle had burned to the ground. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. A fire department report was filed. No police report was filed. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle remained at the scene and was in the process of being totaled by the insurance company. The dealer was notified of the failure and provided vehicle rental assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that it would take up to 30 days for a field investigator to inspect the vehicle. Additionally, the contact was informed that it could take up to 45-60 days to determine whether there was liability. The failure mileage was approximately 13,900.

2024 Toyota Tundra is parked on an semi-inclined driveway. The fuel gauge and miles to empty resets back to full and the miles to empty at the max around 420 miles back to empty. Reported this incident when the mileage was around 300 to the dealership and nothing was done. A year forward I am still having this fuel gauge and miles reset issue. This is a safety hazard primarily due to the risk of unexpectedly running out of fuel. While the inaccurate reading itself doesn't directly damage the engine, running out of gas can lead to several problems. It's important to address a malfunctioning fuel gauge promptly.

I am writing to formally bring to your attention a troubling situation I have encountered regarding the purchase of a vehicle that I believe constitutes fraud. On [XXX], I, [XXX] , purchased a 2010 Toyota Tundra from Beaverton Car Company in Beaverton, Oregon. I agreed to a high-interest loan, expecting to refinance the vehicle shortly thereafter. However, upon attempting to trade the vehicle on September 13, 2024, I learned that the outstanding loan balance exceeded the truck's value due to an illegal odometer rollback. The dealer informed me that the odometer had been rolled back prior to the auction from which they acquired the vehicle; at the time of sale, it displayed 81,000 miles but had actually accrued 268,000 miles. Despite signing the CARFAX indicating a “potential odometer rollback,” I was misled regarding the vehicle’s actual mileage. This significant discrepancy has caused financial distress and I believe it breaches legal statutes regarding odometer accuracy. Given the dealership’s dishonesty and the impact on my financing arrangements, I am seeking a full refund for the vehicle. When attempting to move forward from a stop, there is a momentary delay in the truck responding to stepping on the accelerator pedal. This is a real safety concern when attempting to pull into traffic, as the "dead spot" in the pedal occurs after the truck has already moved forward a few feet, leaving the front end of the truck out in the traffic lane. It appears to be related to the automatic transmission starting in 4th gear, as I can move the shift lever to manual shifting mode and start out in 2nd gear with no hesitation. Once moving I simply move back to Drive mode. This has been an ongoing concern, reported from the first service (10k) on my truck, which now has 45k miles. I received the remedy engine at 37k miles under the safety recall. Toyota seems to be aware of the issue, as they flashed the TCM once, which seemed to help briefly, however the problem quickly returned. I am not the only Tundra owner reporting this issue.

My Tundra 2014 have vibration during light to hard braking. The vibration can felt in any combination, Steering wheel, seat, and entire vehicle. To can fell over a large or short rang of speed. The truck have a new rotors and New break pads (I change twice in 2 years helps a little bit but not fix the problem). I purchased the truck on 2023 and come with this issue, i tried to many shops and no one can find the problem until i see some complaints for the same problem, this maybe to late, i hope some cam help me please.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
The vehicle inconsistently delays when accelerating from a stopped position. This is more frequently noticed shortly after starting the vehicle. This was first noticed around 10K miles, and my vehicle is currently at 25,235 miles. This has happened approximately 4-5 times. While at a stop sign, judging traffic to enter into the intersection I have pushed the gas with no response for 2-3 seconds then a sudden burst of power. Having worked as a state LEO/Trooper for over 25 years I find this very concerning. Any delay in acceleration for power could result in a collision.
