After an alignment my steering wheel is not straight. If held straight, the car goes off the road to the right. Took it back, now it goes off to the left. Sitting still the steering wheel will turn 360 degrees around and hangs in spots when turning it back.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
We (my wife and I) were driving our vehicle Sunday November 5th 2023 in the morning and experienced a serious issue. While on the highway, the car was stuck with the gas petal in the down position (we did not realize this until after we were able to successfully power down the car) and continued to accelerate in an uncontrolled manner. We were fortunate that our breaks were able to stop the car, and we navigated it to the shoulder of the highway. We then put the car in park, all while the engine was full throttled. We powered down the car and removed the keys. We waited a few moments and tried to power the car again - the engine however remained full throttled. We turned the vehicle off once again and then realized the gas petal was stuck in the down position. We were able to manually get the petal unstuck at this time. We have not driven the vehicle since this incident and consider it too dangerous to do so. Since this incident, we have looked up any potential recalls for this issue and have not found any. To answer the questions above: The gas petal/acceleration malfunctioned. The safety of everyone in the vehicle and other drivers on the road were at significant risk. The vehicle has not been driven since, and the issue has not been reproduced. No recalls were found for this VIN. The vehicle has not been inspected since the incident, but otherwise has passed inspection in our state. There were no warning lamps or messages on the vehicle before or after the incident. We believe the manufacturer is responsible for addressing the issue, even though there is not a recall for this particular problem. This is a known issue by the manufacturer, as they have released many recalls for similar models/years and have even created a video on youtube to instruct drivers how to address this issue, if it happens, while driving.

Unattended acceleration. I was on a slight incline, trying to enter the highway. I was stopped with my foot on the break with all of a sudden acceleration, and I started to surge forward. I kept my foot on the break and kept the car from moving forward, but it did seemed to it, going into high gear to want to move forward. Then put it in neutral and in reverse to back up a couple feet so that I wasn’t hit by a moving car on the highway. And then drove the car home. And Toyota to report the problem.

After further attempts to release the buckle, the anchor assembly fractured. The contact was unable to be reassembled. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 105,000.

Notice Oil Leak under the Vehicle i had done further investigation with it find the Engine Oil Pan leaking oil and upper Valve gasket i believe there is existing Investigation on it too and i file Complaint with Toyota they advise me since there is no Recall they charge $250 to Diagonstic fee i told them i ready have few mechanic shop look at it. please reference this [XXX] AND [XXX] . But Mechanic Advise if oil keep leak on the Muffler it could Cause Fire i'm in the process finding the part and get replace. I purchased my car about 4 years ago. Less than a year later after I purchased the vehicle, I took it back to the dealer informing them of the shaking or vibration. They gave the car back to me telling me there’s nothing wrong with the car. Months later I called them again for the same thing and they said the same. Not long ago, I was driving the car with my 2 year old granddaughter and my daughter, taking a turn, the lights in the dash came on and the wheel became so hard that I almost crashed because I couldn’t hardly turn the wheel. I pulled over on a very busy road Hooper Ave TR NJ. We almost got hit by the traffic because there’s no place to pull over and waited to see if it was safe to drive the car. Took the car to a mechanic and doing research he mentioned the torque converter is bad and that’s the reason why it vibrates and shakes. All along, the dealer knew about the problem and they ignored the issue. “The 2012-2014 Toyota Camry shudder that can potentially happen in these Toyota models made during these years. The shudder comes from the transmission, especially during the acceleration of the Camry models. It can be alarming for the driver and be a safety concern when the gears do not properly change during operation. When this problem persists over a significant period of time, it has the poetry to cause long-term damage to your transmission. Damage to your transmission can be costly and affect the overall performance of your Toyota.” Perhaps maybe now because I have been driving it for a while now with the same issue, believing the dealer that there’s was nothing wrong with it, that’s the problem became worse and more dangerous. Other websites say there’s a recall on the issue so I would like to get this serious issue fixed as soon as possible as this is the only vehicle available to move around.

SERVICE BRAKES, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I am writing this letter because, on August 1, 2023, my wife, and I, were involved in an accident with our 2018 Toyota Camry, which may have been due to SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION, a defect which affected Camry owners for over 10 years, and is still happening. Most of these accidents occurred when the driver was pulling slowly into a parking space and their car suddenly accelerated strongly and couldn’t be stopped by hitting the brakes. The car only stopped when it hit a solid object. This often resulted in serious injuries, even death. On August 1, my wife was driving the Camry (I was in the front passenger seat) and she was in the process of slowly pulling into a parking space at Parkside Town Commons in Cary, with her foot on the brake. Without warning, the car suddenly accelerated and she was unable to stop it by hard braking. The car jumped the curb in front of it and climbed a landscaped incline, only stopping when it crashed into a wrought iron fence in front if it. There were no vehicle warning messages prior to the accident. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the Camry had over $6,000 in damages and the fence was bent badly where the car hit it. We called the Cary Police and a Police Report was made. No tickets were issued by the Cary Police. Our Toyota dealer referred us to a higher level Toyota office that deals with special vehicle problems, which we called. We reported the accident, they said it would be reviewed. We have had no response from theToyota higher level office since. Though the damage was repaired, we are very worried that if our Camry has a SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION defect, we could suffer another such accident anytime. It is very critical to have our vehicle inspected for such a flaw, whether in electronics, the throttle, brakes, or anything else. As this problem is an important safety issue, we feel the need to have it checked out. Would appreciate your assistance.

I notice oil Leak in my Garage Floor i went under the Vehicle i notice a lot of oil leak between the Oil Pan Gasket # 1 and oil Pan # 2 and light oil leak from the rear of the Valve Cover Gasket i contact Toyota via Reference Number #[XXX] I contact the toyota Dealership advise me i have to pay Diagnostic fee to get look at it then i decide to go with Firestone i paid $48.79 to get inspect they advise me same thing Oil Pan has major leak and advise me it need to get fix as soon as possible i had them order the part and get it replace due to Toyota is under investigation for the Oil pan and Valve cover. A car turned in front of my daughter and her boyfriend. They were going 40 MPH and there is severe damage to the front of the vehicle. The car will be totaled. Not one air bag deployed. All first responders were very surprised and cautious that even them exiting the damaged vehicle could set them off. They were told "not to move" until they could investigate a safe way for them to leave the car.

The recent recall on the 2020-2023 Toyota Highlander’s for the front fender/bumper clips is the same issue I am currently having with my 2021 Toyota Camry. There is potential risk of the bumper or fender falling off in traffic causing a traffic hazard. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I took my vehicle in a few months ago for a different issue(major railroad rust) and had the manager look at the clip issue to see if it would be fixed at the same time, he informed me that is a common issue they see however would need to be scheduled at the body shop and I would pay out of pocket for it. No the component has not been inspected by anyone else other than the manager at the Toyota dealership I purchased the car from.

I all of a sudden started smellinggas but could not find any leaking underneath the car, also my car started giving lower mileage. Called the extended warranty and submitted the car to Firestone auto care. They ran a fuel system inspection and found leak. They removed and replaced the the fuel line and fuel pump. They said the can was at risk of catching fire and this is unusual

The contact owned a 2019 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at 15 MPH, the contact's daughter was involved in a collision. Another driver ran a stop sign at 30 MPH and crashed into the front passenger side of the vehicle causing the front wheel to detach. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. At the time of the impact, the driver hit her head on the glass. The driver sustained neck, back, wrist, and head injuries that required medical attention involving CT scan, MRI, and x-rays. No other people were injured. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
