Pursuant to a manufacturer-issued safety recall (V06) on a steering assembly component, the manufacturer's remedy permanently damaged an otherwise functioning, adjustable steering component and created a financial barrier to basic vehicle maintenance. The component, post remedy, now would have to be replaced in order to allow adjustment to put the vehicle steering system into correct alignment. Driving a vehicle without proper front end alignment can cause premature tire wear contributing to tire failure and/or pulling to the right or left contributing to a possible accident condition. The manufacturer is refusing to pay for the replacement parts/repairs that, but for the recall remedy, would be necessary.

Received Important Safety Recall notice, Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) ABS, C4B/NHTSA 24V-896 more than 2 years ago. To date, nothing has been done and I'm scared to drive it for safety reasons. There is a very annoying alarm dinging most of the time. I have phoned several times asking when the recall can be performed. Every time the answer is parts are not available yet. For our safety, we would like the parts available and the recall performed very soon.

From the first day i bought the truck i noticed it had a very tight vibration coming from the rear. I thought its may just be the Firestone tires that were put on at the factory. I had to drive out of state to a small town in Nevada. After around 3500 miles the vibration became severe and felt like i had a tire seperating. I called the nearest tire centers/shops within about 100 miles of my location. None carried the firestone transforce tires. So i traveled to the Nearest shop around 60 miles and the certified tech and managed assisted me. The did an inspection and found the tire was scalloped and damaged. Due to the size difference in the tires the shop had available, i had to purchase 4 tires they had in stock. When the tech and manager roadforced the wheels and tires he discovered one of the wheels had a defect and was not actually round and had a slight “out of round” defect starting from the hub mount center bead that extended to the outer circumference causing the rim”wheel” to be out of round which is how the tire was severely damaged. An out of round wheel can cause tire failure and thus, a safety issue. To date as i write this report, i have tried twice with a dealership to try to resolve this issue under the warranty.

- #11754877August 5, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Started with only 320 miles just days after purchasing this new 2026 RAM 3500 on XXX. I have taken the truck to three differ RAM dealerships as this issue continues to occur. [XXX]; [XXX]; and [XXX] Westside all had attempted to fix the issue. I had to return the truck a number of times to [XXX] and [XXX] for the same reasons. The following warmings messages are displayed: FCW/Cruise Control Unavailable Service Required - occurs when using cruise control, Service Electronic Stability Control, Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Unavailable Service Required, Park Sense Temporarily Unavailable, Service Antilock Brake System, 4WD System Temporarily Unavailable, and Service engine light comes on. Two RAM dealers are saying the issue is the speed sensor, which has been replaced over three times. The RAM dealership had to open an engineer ticket with the manufacture, but the issue is not fixed. The Jacksonville service manger told me I can keep bringing the truck in, but until a different manufacture makes a new speed sensor, the truck will continue to have the same issue. I use the RAM 3500 to pull my RV. Brake system failure put myself and family and others safety at risk while on the road, therefore, I do not drive the truck in fear the brake system will fail and I won't be able to stop 20,000 pounds of truck and RV. The truck is available for inspection, but I am currently in the process of returning the truck under Flordia's Lemon Law. NHTSA Recall #: 24V-896 Dogde Recall #: C4B Dodge Part #: 68143491AB HCU My complaint is because the I have tried to get this recall done a two separate dealers and it can't be done. Both service departments have told me the same things, the part # that is supposed to be the recall item has been taken out of inventory and the dealer can't get the part. This I believe happened in 2024. There is no current inventory part number to handle the HCU recall putting my vehicle in limbo. The dealer said this isn't the first experience with the problem. My truck has 15k original miles and I have ABS and Brake warnings flashing at me and 2 dealerships have confirmed that there is no current replacement part to order to do the recall. Subject: Safety Recall Remedy Unavailable Due to Lack of Parts I am submitting this complaint regarding my Ram truck, VIN [XXX], which is subject to a Stellantis safety recall involving the C4B Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). Although Stellantis has acknowledged this as a safety-related defect and issued a recall, I have been unable to obtain the required repair because replacement parts are not available. After multiple attempts of inquiring for a repair, my dealership has informed me that there is no estimated date when the hydraulic control unit will be available. This situation leaves me with a vehicle that is subject to an unresolved safety recall, yet neither the manufacturer nor the dealer can provide the required remedy within a reasonable timeframe. The recall involves a critical braking system component that affects the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Traction Control System. These are essential safety systems designed to help maintain vehicle control during emergency braking and adverse driving conditions. I tow a 16K lb fifth wheel and the risk is unacceptable for the past 18 months-not to mention the constant dinging of the warning, light, inability to use cruise control, and the inability to trade in or sell the vehicle. I am concerned that Stellantis has initiated this recall without ensuring that an adequate supply of replacement parts is available to promptly repair affected vehicles. Owners are left waiting indefinitely while continuing to own and, in many cases, operate vehicles with an acknowledged safety defect. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether Stellantis is meeting its obligations under federal recall requirements by providing an effective and timely remedy. I also request that NHTSA require Stellantis to improve parts availability and communication with affected owners so that recalled vehicles can be repaired within a reasonable period. Thanks.
