On April 20, 2026, at approximately 3:30 PM, a 2025 Ram ProMaster operated as part of a commercial delivery fleet experienced a sudden vehicle fire while driving on a rural road near [XXX] [XXX] ). According to the driver, the vehicle drove over a small amount of corn husk debris on a low-maintenance gravel road, which is a normal and expected driving condition in this area. Immediately after, the vehicle became immobilized, and smoke and fire rapidly developed inside the vehicle and spread to the surrounding field. The driver exited the vehicle quickly and sustained second-degree burns and loss of facial hair. Emergency services responded, and approximately ten fire units were required to contain the fire. The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The vehicle was a total loss. Notably, more than 24 hours after the initial incident, the vehicle reignited while being handled by a tow company. This incident does not appear consistent with normal operating risk. Driving over agricultural debris such as corn husks is a routine condition in rural Nebraska and should not result in catastrophic vehicle failure or fire. Additionally, another fleet operator in the same geographic market reported a nearly identical incident involving a 2025 Ram ProMaster less than one month prior. In that case, the vehicle also caught fire while being driven under normal rural road conditions. There is currently a known recall affecting 2025 Ram ProMaster vehicles. Given the similarity of incidents, severity of outcome, and potential pattern, this may indicate a broader safety defect. This event resulted in driver injury, complete vehicle loss, and damage to surrounding agricultural property. Immediate investigation into potential fire risk and defect in 2025 Ram ProMaster vehicles is strongly requested. My truck was started in the morning and as it sat idle in the driveway I started attaching my trailer. By the time I got the trailer attached(20 seconds) there was smoke pouring out from under the hood. I immediately turned off the truck popped the hood and it was engulfed in flames. I was able to put out the fire with the garden hose. No check engine lights, no warning lights on dash, and I had just got it back from the dealership 2 days earlier and it passed a safety inspection before I picked it up. Im not sure what component failed but whatever did caused a fire

SERVICE BRAKES
When coming to a stop the truck has a very spongey pedal, in order to stop the vehicle you must allow for the stop by applying brake way in advance to be able to stop. When you applying pressure to the brake pedal the pedal is soft and goes almost to the carpet floor. When towing you feel extremely concerned if you can stop especially in an emergency braking situation. This is a problem that is ongoing and is happening every time you brake. The truck has 27k miles

Windshield seal leak drivers side. The windshield and seal comprise of about 60% of the structure to keep roof from collapse in an accident. A leak can cause electrical component failure Issue was brought forward to dealership, leak confirmed by dealership on 3/11/26 Dealership ordered new windshield which was finally installed on 4/9/26

SERVICE BRAKES
Purchased my 2026 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. The first thing I noticed after driving off the lot, I had to push down halfway to stop. My other cars engaged about 6-8 inches to start slowing down. When I took back to the dealership and asked a service Tech supervisor, he said that's how they are. My own personal opinion is, I think it's a safety issue because you've already wasted half of the braking.

SEAT BELTS
The drivers side front seat belt stopped retracting. It was fixed when the warranty was good. I also reported the passenger side, later wasn't retracting. It retracted fine when the dealer had it so they didn't do anything with it. Now the warranty is up and it's hardly ever retracting but they want me to pay for it even thought I reported it when the warranty was good. Also, the driver's side seat belt doesn't always latch. You have to shove it in several times sometimes before it clicks. Sometimes you think it's in and it will unhook later while you're driving down the road.

The contact owns a 2024 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard. The brake pedal was soft, but after pumping it, the brake pedal became firm. The contact was unable to haul a trailer because the braking system was not operating properly. The contact stated that the ABS unintendedly engaged when not needed, but failed to function properly when needed. An independent mechanic bled the brake lines. The local dealer was contacted, but stated that the vehicle operated as designed. The vehicle was taken on two occasions to Don Franklin Somerset Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Service Center (1147 S. Hwy 27, Somerset, KY 42501), where the mechanic was able to duplicate the failure, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. The VIN was not available.

THE VEHICLE HAS UNEVEN RESPONSE WHEN TURNING OR DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD TURN SIGNALS DO NOT CANCEL PROPERLY AND IT HAS A PERSISTENT CLICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. MY SAFETY IS AT RISK AS THE STEERING ISNT CONSISTENT WHILE DRIVING. VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BUT THEIR TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY OF THE ONGOING PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE INCLUDING WORN SUSPENSION COMPONENTS.THIS PERSISTENT PROBLEM WITH THE STEERING AND CLICKING SOUND HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE BEFORE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BACK IN DECEMBER WITH MULTIPLE CLUES AFTER VISUAL EXAMINATION OF A PRIOR ACCIDENT.

SERVICE BRAKES
I had to hard brake on a damp roadway at about 50 mph. The truck began to rotate and skid. I had no control over the vehicle until it stopped. The dash lights came on for a failure of the brakes, abs, traction control, and stability control. All of the lights went off then the truck seemed to drive normally. A short time later the lights came on and would not go off. Took the truck to the dealer. The hydraulic control unit was bad and was replaced. This did not fix the truck. Now it needs an abs control module. The truck remains at the dealer awaiting this repair. This appears to be a problem in the previous model year Ram 2500’s and it looks like my 2022 is affected also. There are recalls for these trucks but not for my model year.

I own a 2025 Ram 2500 that is affected by Recall 03D involving the Trailer Brake Control Module. This recall is related to a potential failure of the trailer braking system and trailer lighting system, which creates a serious safety risk while towing. I regularly use this truck for towing, and due to this issue, the vehicle may not safely tow trailers, increasing the risk of an accident. I have experienced this issue while towing, all lights will shut off on my trailers and warnings that the trailer has been disconnected repeatedly pop up. Then the lights will flash back on just to repeat again. After this happened the first time (last year), I took my truck in to have them run diagnostics and they were unable to find anything wrong, suggesting it could be the trailer, and now the recall is here. I have contacted my dealer, but the replacement part is not available and has an expected 55 week leadtime due to Stellantis allowing dealers to order only one module per week. There are 55 customers in line ahead of me waiting on this part for their own trucks. This leaves me with a vehicle that cannot be safely used for its intended purpose. I am requesting that the manufacturer expedite parts availability and provide a timely resolution to this safety recall Stellantis should not be allowed to sell anything while all of the current trucks on the road are unsafe.

I was in the middle of a 1 hr long drive and my DEF gauge went from 2/3 full to empty nearly instantly. I received a message on the dash that said my speed would be limited to 5 MPH in 200 miles. Thankfully, I was within easy driving distance to a dealer, so I dropped if off yesterday (still waiting for their assessment of the issue), but what if I was in the middle of nowhere, and couldn't get to a dealer before that 200 mile limit was reached? What if the dealer couldn't see me for weeks/months which is not uncommon these days? These emissions control systems have gotten absolutely out of control and change needs to happen. 2026 RAM 2500 Laramie Mega Cab w/ approx 1,650 miles (yes, one thousand, six hundred and fifty miles)

I have had numerous safety warning messages display upon startup and also while driving. The messages are usually combined with a cold ambient temperature and do not display during warm temperatures. The FCA dealership has attempted to fix this issue on at least six different occasions so far without any change. To date, FCA has replaced the original battery, they have updated, flashed the ECU module, performed NHTSA Recall B4C for flashing the cluster, and most recently they replaced the ORC module. FCA indicated that NHTSA-25V882 was not applicable to my VIN despite my VIN production date in April '25; within your suspect period. Original issue remains, FCA STAR case generated however cannot replicate error condition for FCA engineers. The next scheduled visit to FCA is to replace a telematics module for possible link to issue with the Uconnect5 system. This safety issue was first noted before 800 miles and continues through 2768 miles thus far. As this issue pertains directly to a vital Air Bag sensor issue and the inability to call for a SOS assistance, I expect the NHTSA to raise this concern with FCA USA and to determine the cause of this safety defect and issue a new Recall Notification for repair and/or replacement of affected parts.

Vehicle caught fire while engine was running, vehicle idling. Vehicle is a total loss. Prior NHTSA complaints regarding these vehicles causing fire from electrical components under the hood. Unknown if fire was due to electrical or leaking fuel issues under the hood. Major safety risk to occupants, especially children in car seats. Fire became out of control and burned the interior of the vehicle to bare metal. There were no injuries in this incident. This report being submitted by Law Enforcement on owners behalf.
