The power steering goes out at random times after the steering warning light comes on. This usually happens after the secondary cooling system kicks in. I have had it looked at by one mechanic who thinks it's the rack and pinion portion of the steering, he was unable to find a replacement part. It is a danger when it happens especially on a curve, it will cause the steering to try and go straight which leads to the truck crossing lanes of traffic which could result in an accident. This all began in May of 2026 when the weather started warming up. Did not have this problem the first 6 months of ownership during the cooler weather of winter and spring. This problem happens almost daily especially during the heat of the day.

ABS Module control unit has gone out and we are being told by multiple mech that the module is on national back order and could be 6 months or more before the part can be secured. We can not go with our our vehicle for this long. We are willing to get it fixed but this back order has made it impossible to do so.

The truck has done this four times since 01/22/2026. While still moving slowly the truck will do this while going down the highway. One other safety issue was when I merged into traffic on the highway (You have to merge into the fast lane at this location) the truck wouldn't go past 4th gear approximately 40 mph with cars coming up on me at 70. All of these problems correct when I can get the truck restarted.

*VIN:* [XXX] *Make/Model/Year:* 2023 RAM 1500 LARAM DT *Mileage at failure:* 53,883 *Recall:* 75B - ABS Module Configuration Mismatch (launched 09/12/2024) + 67D Rear Seat Belt Buckle Anchor Bolt (08/06/2026) + A1B Turn Signal Lever Latch (10/08/2024) *Dealer:* Falvey's Motors Inc DBA Falvey's Premium, 300 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360 — RO [XXX] / Control [XXX] — Service Advisor Caitlin Violette — 08/11/2026 08:02-09:17 *Problem:* Dealer performed Recall 75B - Reprogram ABS Module per correction. 9 miles later at 09:50 same day, odometer 53,883, vehicle displayed "Service Electronic Stability Control" message with ABS warning light, traction control off light, stability control light, check engine light, and parking brake warning (P)! light illuminated simultaneously. Photo taken at time of failure shows all lights on. This indicates ABS module configuration failed and stability control is disabled, creating unsafe braking condition. Recall remedy did not correct defect. Vehicle requires module replacement, not just reprogram. Original RO mileage in 53,874, out 53,874, failure mileage 53,883 — 9 miles post-repair. *Safety Risk:* Loss of ABS and Electronic Stability Control during braking — increased risk of skid/crash, especially in wet conditions. This is exactly the condition Recall 75B was intended to prevent. *Requested Action:* NHTSA to document failed recall remedy and require FCA to replace ABS module under warranty INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated shortly afterwards. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the transmission failed to shift out of first gear. The message “Slow Down - Service Shifter” was displayed. Windshield wipers turned on by themselves and will not turn off, odometer is flashing, service airbag message on dash and airbag warning light flashing on dash and blinkers do not work. Stellantis cannot fix the problem and refuse to take truck back. Truck only has 3100 miles on it. Truck has been at Charlevoix Auto Ram Dealership Service since June 1, 2026. Multiple cases have been opened with auto manufacturer by dealership and us, the owner. Auto manufacturer will not buy back vehicle and put us new vehicle. We hadn't had vehicle for 3 months when this happened.

I own a 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 (5.7L HEMI eTorque, ZF 8-speed automatic), VIN [XXX], approximately 40,000 miles. For roughly two years, the transmission has produced a hard, jarring downshift and lurch during normal low-speed deceleration, consistently when slowing from ~20 mph to a stop. This occurs both when the engine is cold and fully warmed up, ruling out a cold-start explanation. It happens under normal city driving, not towing or aggressive driving. The jolt is forceful enough that passengers, including my spouse, are reluctant to ride in the vehicle. I brought the truck to an authorized Ram dealership (Greenway Dodge, Orlando, FL) and left it overnight. The service manager stated this was “normal” behavior and that his own vehicle did the same. When I noted it happens warm as well as cold, I was told nothing could be done. No diagnostic codes were pulled, no fluid inspected, and no TSBs checked during the visit. I later confirmed via NHTSA’s TSB lookup that a bulletin addressing rough downshifting on 5.7L eTorque Ram 1500 trucks (TSB 21-005-19 or superseding revisions) exists for this platform, and has NOT been applied to my VIN despite the dealership having full access to check. I’m filing this because: 1) the behavior involves unexpected, forceful lurching during low-speed deceleration that could startle a driver near intersections; 2) my dealership dismissed it without diagnostics or checking for applicable updates; 3) this appears to be a widely reported issue among other 2019-2022 Ram 1500 eTorque owners, suggesting a pattern rather than an isolated defect. I’m requesting NHTSA document this as part of its review of shift-quality/drivetrain behavior in eTorque-equipped Ram 1500 trucks of this model year INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
