STEERING
While operating my 2013 Ram 1500 at approximately 10 MPH, I experienced a sudden and complete loss of power steering without warning. The incident occurred while traveling on a public roadway. There were no dashboard warning lights, alerts, or noises leading up to the failure. The steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn, requiring significant physical effort to maintain control of the vehicle. The failure appears to have occurred in the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. This sudden loss of power steering posed a serious safety hazard to both myself and other road users. The unexpected loss of steering assist greatly increased the difficulty of maneuvering the vehicle, especially during turns or emergency avoidance. The vehicle was nearly impossible to steer with one hand and could have led to a crash if more evasive action had been needed. Had this occurred at higher speeds or in heavy traffic, the outcome could have been much more severe. The failure was diagnosed as an EPS (Electric Power Steering) internal failure, confirmed by a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) pulled during inspection at a certified repair facility. The code specifically indicated a malfunction within the EPS module itself. The problem was confirmed by an independent service center, where technicians scanned the vehicle and identified a diagnostic code confirming an internal EPS failure. At this time, the EPS system has not been repaired pending further action.

The electronic steering on my truck is failing prematurely and poses a risk to my safety and that of the drivers around me. When I drive it and go to make turns, the power steering will go in and out causing various levels of strength needed to control the vehicle while turning.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The Connected Services system in my 2023 Ram TRX regularly displays large, full-screen alerts for emergency vehicles, tow trucks, and lane closures — often when there is no actual hazard present. These alerts are extremely distracting and dangerous. They: Block the entire screen, hiding navigation, camera, and HVAC controls and leaving the screen black until the user interacts with it multiple times to put it back on navigation. Require multiple presses to clear, forcing interaction while driving. Often reactivate within seconds, creating a loop of screen interference. Have triggered during merging, construction zones, heavy traffic, and when passing emergency vehicles or tow trucks, where focus is critical and lives are at risk. Occur falsely 80%+ of the time — no hazard is nearby. Cannot be disabled, according to Stellantis. These alerts violate basic safety interface principles by forcing unnecessary, repeated interaction in active driving conditions, forcing distracted driving. The system is overly aggressive, not user-configurable, and poses a significant distraction risk. Numerous owners on Ram forums have reported similar experiences, including repeated false triggers in the same areas. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this system. Stellantis should be required to: Offer a toggle to disable or limit alert pop-ups. Redesign the alerts to be non-obstructive and passive, or limit them to actual verified hazards. Until addressed, this is a serious safety issue affecting many drivers. I have video evidence of the issue occurring that I can provide.

2019 ram 1500 big horn rear back lite leak. Anytime it rains it pours from the frame where it has developed two cracks on either side of the power sliding window. Dealer states it needs replaced after resealing the window and the 3rd brake light. Dealer states Ram will not pay for the replacement even though there is an extended warranty for 8 years or 150k miles on the backlite. I have opened a case with customer care...all they do is mediate between you and dealer they have no access to TSB bulletins or service records. TSB bulletin located on NHSTA site states replacement. Dealer states they only reseal and that the one I can see is outdated. Dealer wrote on last service record that the backlite needs replaced. Note: there is a electronic hub located behind the seats. Also, potential mold growth as the vehicle has a persistent musty smell.

I purchased This truck new in 2014 and have had very few problems with it, but now the ABS module is defective which affects the brakes, traction control, cruise, with all lights on. In driving the vehicle under wet roads it has gone out of control and is dangerous. Ram has told me that the parts are back ordered and recently gave me incorrect information as to the extent of this parts problem. I paid over 50k for this vehicle to keep in my older years and I do not want to have to change now . This is a real problem that could get someone hurt or killed. They say it is not a recall issue but there are thousands of these parts needed and Ram seems to [XXX]. I don't usually voice a complain but this hits home to me. SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Since purchasing the vehicle in April, I have had a continuous problem with the brake's and brake system's. The red dash warning chime and red warning light have come on. I have brought the car in 4 times to the dealer for repair, to no avail. This happened before I put 100 miles on the car and has continued. I currently only have about 680 miles. The dealer has "worked" on on it for almost 2 months (bought the car 3 months ago). The following codes keep being set (scan attached). 2 Anti-Lock Brake System Code : C05D2-00 - Master Cylinder Piston Position Higher Than Expected. C0597-00 - Brake System Control Module 'A' Performance. 1 Instrument Panel Cluster Code: B12B7-92 - Instrument Panel Cluster Display. 1 Integrated Trailer Control Module Code: C10C7-00 - Electronic Trailer Brake Control Output.

I have replaced, via warranty, 3 cylinders that have failed within 10,000 miles of the vehicle. This causes my truck to shutter and not accelerate properly. The shop tells me this has been an ongoing problem, however it is not being addressed by Stalantis. Not requesting to do anything for my situation, however it needs to be investigated.

We recently bought the dodge truck from a dealer in Puyallup Washington and noticed it was hard to steer and pulling to the left and right when Turning. It was a hard pull ! Now we can't even drive the truck at all its hard to steer and there's a red light at the bottom of the cluster with a red circle and a exclamation mark.! We don't want to drive it as my husband says it's the electric power steering.the electronic steering does not work at all. We shouldn't be having this problem . As we only had it 5 mos.i don't know the approximate day but started shortly after we bought the truck. Thank you for reviewing our complaint. We are retired and needed a truck for hauling .

I was driving to work and all of a sudden I had no power steering and red light with wheel and ! Came on indicating power steering failure. Confirmed by mechanic and estimated 3-4 thousand dollars , this is a known issue with these trucks apparently as I’m finding out

STEERING
The Power Steering suddenly failed without warning when starting the truck while parked in a public parking lot. Could not steer the truck and noticed the red warning light was illuminated. I turned off the vehicle and waited a few minutes and then the power steering was working. I drove immediately home. The problem then occurred again when I started the truck up. The truck was not safe to drive. Checked the serial number of my steering rack and it is not included in the recall list for this known problem. I had to replace the steering rack with a new unit. This should be recalled and covered by the manufacturer. Less than 29,000 miles on the truck.

The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle had been experiencing difficulty starting. The contact stated that the vehicle was able to restart after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

Software issue with 12' display unit. The issues began occurring over the past several months. Sirius XM radio frequently searching for signal lasting for hours, and nothing else would play, not the radio nor the Pandora app with UCONNECT. The backup camera displayed on the screen when in D. Then, on 6/10/2025, the backup camera stopped working altogether. When shifted into R, 12' display shows a blue screen with "Camera System Unavailable." The camera control buttons are fixed in position. On 6/11/2025, the 12' display showed Sirius XM subscription update and left me with the Sirius preview screen even though I have a subscription. This lasted several hours. Upon, restart, Sirius shows loading again. Still no backup camera.

Replaced the RFH Hub twice in this vehicle do to water damage. 1st time under warranty, the 2nd out of pocket. Noticed the second time they replaced the Backlit light seal under an extended warranty (XL1 Warranty) where the water came in from. Both repair receipts enclosed and a picture of another vehicle they were replacing the seal while picking up my repaired vehicle. Investigation revealed, they use to fix the back siding window seal which cost $1300, but they replaced the Backlit at $25, now I'm on the hook for $1081.71 and change. $936.71, for the repair, $144.00 for the tow, the same spot it was towed from the first time it happen. Both times it had rained heavily. Filed a reimbursement case with FCA, Case#93175918, they have yet to get back to me.

Attempted to back out of garage when the steering became very difficult to turn. Could not safely drive the vehicle as the steering was extremely hard to turn. Service steering message appeared on console. Vehicle towed to dealership for repair. Dealer advised this repair will require replacement of the steering rack at a cost of over $3,000.00. While there may not be a specific recall based on my VIN this problem is very similar to other vehicles that have been recalled for this issue. Part is back ordered which indicates they are doing a lot replacements. This should be elevated to a systemic recall. My truck has under 70,000 miles on it and has been well maintained.
