The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated while driving on the freeway and over a bridge at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that several dealers were contacted, and the contact was informed that the parts to repair the vehicle were no longer available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

SERVICE BRAKES
In January 2025, the “Check ABS” warning light illuminated in my 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie. I promptly brought the vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased. Upon inspection, I was informed that the required part for repairs was on back order. I was assured that I would receive an update from the dealership in March 2025 regarding the status of the part, but I did not receive any communication. On June 20, 2025, I contacted the dealership for an update and was informed that the part remains on back order and is no longer being manufactured. However, no solutions or alternative options were provided to address this issue. A representative from the Service Department stated they would escalate the matter to the Parts Manager, but no further plan or resolution was discussed. Given that the vehicle ABS is a key safety feature, I am very concerned that a necessary safety component is unavailable.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE
My Ram has the ETorque Generator that failed. It has caused the vehicle to suddenly stop and lose power. It first lost all electrical components in the interior. Then driving function shut off which includes the power steering. I was then driving down the street and it suddenly stopped and grinded into the park position of the transmission. The engine bay was very hot and I was surprised a fire didn't start. I hooked up jumper cables to another vehicle to get it off the road way as you couldn't shift it into neutral when the battery was dead. Pretty much all of the warning lights came on as I was still moving and they are still on. I took it into the ram dealer locally and they said there is 4379 that are in the same boat. There is no outlook to get replacement parts. I then took the Etorque generator out and tried having it rebuilt as there was no answer from Ram when it could be fixed. The place I took it to specializes in rebuilding alternators and they were able to fix the bearing problem in the generator but were unable to fix the function of recharging the batteries in the vehicle. So I have to put my truck on a charger every night so its charged up enough to make it to and from work. The vehicle has been inspected by a member of the Fergus Falls Fire Department and he is concerned with constant charging of the battery and electrical issues.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Adaptive cruise control does not work, Forward collision warning does not work, pedestrian emergency braking does not work, auto emergency braking does not work among other non safety issues. Dealer is aware and has ordered a new infotainment system which controls all these safety features but is unable to get it from the manufacturer for the last 6 months. This system did not work from the day I picked up the vehicle

SUSPENSION
On Sunday [XXX] my family and I were driving home from Fort Smith Arkansas and the truck lost the entire front right suspension. When I purchased the truck ([XXX]) from Meador Dodge I purchased the truck with the lift, tires and wheels that were installed by Meador dodge. In July of 2023 I took the truck to Alliance Dodge for an oil change and alignment. The Alliance dealership informed me at that time that the factory control arms were still on the truck and with the lift that Meador Dodge installed they should have installed the correct control arms for the lift. Due to availability based on Meadors schedule i was not able to get the truck repaired by Meador until December of 2023. Date of purchase : [XXX] Date found that the wrong control arms on the truck: [XXX] - Truck had 20,088 Miles Date when correct control arms were installed: December 20,2023 - Truck had 26105 Miles Date of Accident: [XXX] - Truck had 46,186 Miles on it In short due to Meador not installing the correct control arms and I drove the truck for over 26,000 miles which is more than 1/2 of the miles driven on the truck that the incorrect control arms caused the other parts to fail and caused the accident. ABS system alarms appeared June 2023, dealership says it is abs controller and needs to be replaced. There were none available. I have checked back periodically for last two years and they still have no clue when they will have parts available. The dealer has told me to continue driving the truck.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
My front gas tank mounting strap pulled through the frame. The gas tank was almost touching the ground and the strap was rubbing on the driveshaft. Said the recall is for up to 2012. Mine is titled as a 2013 but manufactured in November of 2012. What can be done? 13 year old truck shouldn't have a frame rusted that bad, even in Ohio

The information system with the back up camera will lock up and not display the back up view or will display a view as a photo and not a video. It is making a loud buzzing noise when it is happening. It will then shut down and restart on its own, this usually takes about 2 minutes and then it is OK until i turn it off and restart it again. Does not happen every time but I would say that it happens 3 out of 5 times I start the vehicle.

The infotainment screen on my ram 1500 is delaminating causing it to ghost press functions. This is resulting it starting and stopping music, phone calls, voice prompts, backup camera, mirror dimmer, etc. it has started doing this in the last month. It distracts the driver because the screen requires constant attention and can’t be turned off.

Cracked exhaust manifold. I know of three people, besides myself, with the 2020 Ram with 5.7 literally Hemi that have had cracked exhaust manifold. Mopar has a technical service bulletin, but the cost to repair is on me.

Our power steering has stopped working and there was a recall on Ram 1500 models for this defect but not for the 2014 which has the same steering component. We would like the 2014 model and any model that has the same defective steering to be included. This is a very expensive fix and very dangerous to operate like this

My truck for several years has intermittently turned off all safety features and steering control, i.e. air bags, traction control, anti lock breaks, and power steering all turn off randomly which in turn disables the cruise control, towing functions, etc. In the past I could turn the truck off then back on and the problems would dissappear, Now the problem has escalated and is occurring at shorter intervals now turning it off doesn't work and its getting dangerous. There is various recalls for these problems with same make and years model trucks, but mine is not included. I've tried contacting the dealer but they basically say sorry we can't help you unless your truck is added to the recall list. It's just not right that 1000's of vehicles the exact same as mine have been recalled for the exact same problems but not mine. Thanks for your time!

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The right turn signal light will not cancel when setting the turn signal back to neutral. The left turn will not light up the left signal. Setting the turn signal to the left signal has become the only way to cancel the right turn signal light.
