The death wobble has happened 2 times in the past month traveling under 45mph. It’s dangerous as the steering wheel is all over the place and the only way to stop it is to slow down all the way. Very scary!

Death wobble. It's been doing this for a few months now. Does it at any speed. Dealership claims there is nothing wrong. Blames it on uneven worn tires but I just bought these winter tires last winter. They look fine to me and there is no way they are bad already. I have a different set I use in the summer. Jeep just hit 30,000 miles.

I was driving 65 on the freeway when the steering suddenly goes out &stiffens so hard I could not turn the car. It was very heavy. Fortunately all the cars were going in the same direction &I managed to merge over but was at that point going about 40 on the freeway, which is dangerous in itself There was a major warning light that went on, but of course, bc I was struggling w/the car, I couldn’t read what it said, & then after I pulled over, I noticed another smaller warning light of the stop/start system, but from what I understand there could be any number of issues under that warning light the dealer has had my car for over a week they can’t find anything specific on the car. I have been looking at the Wrangler forums and heard similar complaints and similar incidences for over 6 yrs of dealers “fixing” this and that when in reality, it could be the 2 batteries in the car which are considered by many Jeep owners substandard coming from the factory, and it has been suggested I have them replace with Mopar batteries, (not the same factory batteries ) but apparently the factory will not reimburse the dealers for the batteries so they avoid placing batteries at 700.- a pop when that could be the issue 75% of the time (that comes from experienced jeep owners on this forum) if I had been in cross traffic, or if I had to avoid an oncoming collision or a side collision I would not have been able to maneuver the car and it could’ve been a disaster I doubt their ability to pinpoint the exact cause of this as they said they’ve never seen this kind of an incident before They were able to replicate the loss of steering, but they don’t know how they did it if They could replace this and that, but there’s no telling unless the incident happens again if it was really fixed, and I find this is too dangerous a chance to take as I could’ve been killed. No inspections of the component has been checked by anybody cause they don’t know what component is malfunctioning

Vehicle steering vibrates uncontrollably at speeds generally over 50 mph. This only subsides if you slow the vehicle down and or bring the vehicle to a stop on the side of the road. This has done this since approximately 5,000 miles. I was told that there was no problem found. After contacting “Jeep Customer Care Service” to get them involved as we will NOT continue to put our young son and ourselves in danger of this faulty vehicle. I have been getting the runaround as to a rental vehicle. I was told by the customer service representative to take it to a dealer for the issue again. I told her that this vehicle is unsafe and the primary driver is my young son and that it was unsafe! The representative Melissa, told me to just don’t drive it on the interstate etc. After telling her that we have purchased 6 new vehicles from their parent company in the last 4 years, this would be the LAST!!! Only then she offered to start a case file for our complaint. We are still getting the runaround.

Jeep dealer Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Manhattan (678 11th Ave New York, NY 10019-7047) has to be added to the list of Jeep dealerships refusing (or unable) to assist with safety recalls ZB7 and ZD8. We will keep filing complaints with NHTSA until all Jeep dealerships start to assist Jeep drivers with these federally required and mandated repairs.

Death wobble: extreme vibration, uncontrollable shaking from side to side when going high speeds and hitting bumps, but also happening at lower speeds now and not large bumps. It will only stop by coming to a close stop, slower than 10-15mph. It is happening much more frequently, and the Jeep only has 26,000 miles and has never been off-road. I bought this Jeep brand new. Ordered it myself. Dealership supposedly fixed it on 02-03-23, but it continues to do it and is getting worse.

Jeep develops a severe WOBBLE at speeds above 50MPH. Sometimes at a lower speed if you hit the smallest of bumps. The JEEP shakes BEYOND BELEIF. It shakes so much that you CANNOT see the instruments. In order for it to stop shaking you need to almost stop the car.

My Jeep has has experienced the death rattle over the last 6 months. Originally it would only happen every month or so when I got over 75 MPH. However in December after I put in an order with my service center for the part to fix it (which took 6+ weeks to arrive), the rattle got so bad that it would happen every time I got on the highway and would sometimes happen under speeds of 50. There was one time that I drove 45 each way to the airport and rattle happened over 10 times.

The vehicle's engine will randomly shut off and not turn back on. It has been to dealerships over 10 times for the same issue. They all attribute it to the start/stop battery, but it happens even when that feature is turned off. The vehicle's engine will shut off while driving and you cannot shift it into park. The only warning is a check engine light and "service auto start/stop system". There is no warning before the vehicle does it, and I have broken down in intersections, highways, and other dangerous locations. The vehicle duplicated the issue on the dealers lot, but they claim " no codes, no repair".

while driving on highway at 70 mph speed limit hit a pothole and vehicle started shaking violently had to slow to under 30 mph for it to stop. Took to dealer they said they would replace steering dampener. Waited 2 months for part to come in took to work following morning hit another pothole at 70 mph and shook so bad it blurred my vision had to slow to under 30 to get it to stop. At that point almost got rear ended by semi he swerved to avoid hitting me.
