Me my wife and our dogs were driving from California to Las Vegas when we experience loss of power in the engine we managed to Coast downhill to State Line Nevada and got to the off ramp and then had to push the car to the nearest gas station it was towed the next day to Centennial Hyundai in Las Vegas, case # [XXX] this happened while on vacation just before Christmas they were not able to look at it till after Christmas but they found that one of the valves had broken and was sitting on top of the piston we were told that the engine the turbo the exhaust and the catalytic would all have to be replaced also later they discovered a leak in the transmission on the Dual clutch which also needed replacing we were just told that they have finished the work and we would be responsible for about $5,300 worth of the work I have all maintenance records on this vehicle it had all scheduled maintenance done at the dealership including oil changes and any other repairs that or needed including engine cleaning once the car reached about 100,000 MI it started consuming about a quart of oil every oil change I'm [XXX] old and have had many new and used cars and have never ever had an engine failure happen at such a low mileage when this occurred the car had approximately 122,000 miles on it I have a claim with Hyundai customer care, case # [XXX] and they have not been very cooperative they don't seem to be able to contact the dealership to get any kind of resolution for the costs that I don't feel are my responsibility this is unbelievable I will never recommend anybody by a Hyundai or a Kia I will tell them buy a Honda or a Toyota not a Hyundai or a Kia they have horrible engines and Transmissions it should not be failing at less than 100,000 miles or before the car is even paid off unbelievable don't know how we're going to cover the cost the dealership wants to get our car back I guess they'll just have to keep it for a while. - #11639264January 29, 2025AIR BAGS
For about three weeks, my airbag warning light appeared intermittently, lasting 1–3 minutes at a time. I have not taken it to the dealership because I was unsure if it was covered by the warranty, and they had no availability. Now the warning light is off, but I am worried that the airbags will not deploy if needed.

- #11639276January 29, 2025FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
While driving on the highway, I attempted to accelerate up to 70 mph and the check engine light came on and the front end of the car started shaking. Had to pull over and restart the car to continue safely. This has happened four separate times at different mileage variables and each time they replace 2-3 of my fuel injectors with no explanation as to what is causing them to constantly blow. They never make it even 1000 miles before at least one goes out again. My vehicle is approaching 52,000 miles and has been serviced four times for this since December 2023. This needs to be a vehicle recall as the warranty will not pay for this forever and the underlying cause of the problem is not being addressed by Hyundai.

- #11638751January 27, 2025SERVICE BRAKES
Happened to be driving our car (11/23/25) to drop off our other car for brake pad replacement. On the way to our mechanic the brake light came on in the dash cluster. After having spoken to our mechanic we prepared to leave the car we planned to drop off. Got in our Hyundai Tucson and the brake light was still on, odd. Proceed to back up and he brake pedal almost went to the floor. Got out looked underneath the car and there was a puddle of brake fluid. The Hyundai was unsafe to drive as it had no brakes and we left it at our mechanic. He called Friday to say Hyundai longer makes the brake lines and he was searching for the front brake lines that corroded away and failed. He said the rear lines we coated to protect them from corrosion and the front lines were not. Learned over the weekend that the Canadian government recalled almost 300K Hyundai vehicles for corroded or failed brake lines. Why hasn't the US addressed this serious safety issue? My image is too large to be accepted by your system. Is there another way to submit it? We were incredibly fortunate as we were going home on a highway at rush. If the brakes failed I'm certain we and others would have been injured.

- #11638923January 27, 2025FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING
1. After driving the car and turning it off, I get a loud bang coming from a gas tank. 2. Sometimes when making a hard right or left turn steering wheel vibrates, and the warning light for all wheel drive system comes on. When I turn the car off and restart it, it goes away. 3. After software installs due to recalls, when I accelerate my radio occasionally shuts off on its own, and then we’ll come back on on its own. 4. After turning the car off when I restart it occasionally the clock in calendar revert to 00:00 for the time and the date resets to 1/1/20.

Within last oil change the engine had oil consumption and has a loud engine knocking sound. The upcoming oil change date had not been exceeded and/or miles had not been exceeded. The engine knock caused me to pull over immediately at a location on a highly traveled road and no shoulder or safe spot which was dangerous. Safety was a concern because I had to wait for a tow truck in cold winter weather. The local Hyundai dealership maintenance person said it was a known issue with that make and model and the repair wait time is 5 months because they don't have enough staff and cannot get parts. My tuscan just had an inspection at the last oil change on 10/22/2024. no report from Hyundai that the oil level was an issue or engine having problems. There not any warning lights or low level lights and/or noises until it suddenly happened.

Engine knocking began around 132,000 miles and caused intermittent loss of power while driving. This caused me to slow down at random intervals while on the roadway becoming a hazard for other drivers. Engine light activated shortly before the symptoms began. No inspections done yet.

Lost acceleration while driving on the freeway and car started shaking with Check Engine light on. Took the car to the dealer for diagnostic and was informed that #4 injector failed causing the engine to misfire. This was the 3rd fuel injector failing in 5 months. Per my service advisor, Hyundai released an updated TSB (25-FL-001H) in January 2025 with a 4 new fuel injector replacement kit. Unfortunately, this injector kit was so new that I had to drive a service rental car for a week waiting for the kit to arrive. Let's see if these new fuel injectors will last longer than the old ones.

The teeth within a spool in the window regulator easily strip out leaving the window unable to be opened or closed. This has happened on three out of four windows on my vehicle.

Hyundai has a service bulletin for their 12V battery but isn’t notifying owners. Today my vehicle stopped working and lost all acceleration on a busy 3 lane street that is 55mph. I was able to limp it to a left turn lane where I had to research the issue and found many others had instances like mine. The battery stops working and subsequently stops the vehicle from accelerating and tells you to ‘stop safely’ with no warning or indication that you’re about to stop moving on a road.

The engine sensor knock sensor went out on me on I-95. I called the dealer who sold me the car no action as of yet. Took it to a dealership service and had them diagnose it and they confirmed it. They informed me of a recall for Hyundai that year (2019) but not this model. They were baffled why this model was not recalled when they have several models with engine issues. They informed me they were not going to fix it because it will not work but I could risk it somewhere else. I took it to Precision Auto Tune and the dealership was correct. It only work for 48 hours if that. Confirm by more mechanics and the engine is no good

So in December of 2022 the vehicle above was recalled for Service Campaign 966 by hyundai and was completed. In 2024 it had the same issues again and the knock sensor was replaced twice in 2024. We just purchased the vehicle in January 2025 and know are having the same issuse and code showing the knock sensor is having issues. We reported it to the dealer we purchased from long hyundai of chattanooga and they aren't helping to resolve the issue. All they did before we bought it was say it had a weak battery and supposedly replaced the battery.

The front passenger and rear window regulators failed within 1 month of each other without any warning or symptoms. After inspection, it was identified that the plastic window regulator was completely shattered within the door. There was no damage to my vehicle that could have caused this. With the window regulator not working, my windows were not able to be opened or closed. The front window regulator actually got stuck in a down position. After some additional research online, I found several others who have had the same issues with the window regulators on their 2016 Hyundai Tucsons. This is a safety hazard because if I were ever be in an accident or a place where I need to exit through my windows and they are unable to go up and down for a safe exit. I have spent over $1600 in repairs to fix an issue that is clearly a defective part in the windows.

On Jan 5th, with odometer reading of 1747 miles, while driving on a busy highway, the car's speed decreased until the car stopped without warning. After pushing the car into a gas station to get out of harm's way, we contacted Hyundai roadside assistance. The car was towed to a nearby Hyundai dealership. The problem was diagnosed the next day - the car needs a new transmission. The transmission is on backorder and will not be delivered to the dealership until the middle of March. Our new 2025 Tuscon Hybrid will be out of service for at least 10 weeks after breaking down on a major road without warning. The code is the bluelink app is P177700 -Powertrain transmission

Around November 1, 2024 my 2021 Tucson check engine light came on. I had this checked out and was told by a mechanic that it was the Camshaft Sensor. I had this repaired and then on November 23rd while traveling to Ohio my Check Engine light started flashing and needed immediate attention. I was on the West Virginia Turnpike when this happened and it caused the car to go no more that 45 mph in a zone marked 65mph. We got this immediately checked out and repaired and then 4 days later the same thing happened while in Ohio. It was taken to Deihl Hyundai in Massillon, Ohio and they once again made this repair with video evidence of said repairs. Once again while driving at freeway speed on December 23rd my car experienced this malfunction. The same dealership fixed it once again with direction from Hyundai. I am concerned for this is an ongoing problem and could cause serious injury to myself or others in my vehicle if this would happen once again on a freeway.
