While driving approximately 70 miles an hour and trying to switch lanes, we got a stabilitrack warning and the car shut off for a second and then came back on. the weather was nice and there was no snow or any other adverse conditions. This happened a couple more times on the ride and then when we tried to turn into a parking spot it shut off completely and we had to restart it. We turned stabilitrack off and the car was ok for a couple of short drives. Then driving late at late and we passed another car the same thing happened. Then when we tried to turn our brights on we got the same message. Then we got a brake assist message and then we got a collision alert. The headlights were flickering the rest of the drive and we couldnt use our brights. We had our 4 children in the car and it was shutting down at high speeds and very scary. I looked up our vin and it said that the recalls had been worked on but I dont remember this being done. This has never happended before this. our car would be available for inspection if needed.

Rim corrosion resulting in loss of air pressure. The inner portion of the rim is corroding causing the tires to loose pressure. Depending on the amount of corrosion this could lead to a catastrophic failure at some point due to sudden loss of pressure. I took my vehicle to a tire shop thinking there was a puncture causing it to loose pressure. The manager explained to me that the pressure loss was due to corrosion of the alloy rim and that it is common with Chevrolet vehicles with factory alloy rims. The only solution to the problem is to have the rims possibly refurbished or replaced.

- #11617210September 30, 2024FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The fitting on the fuel pressure regulator on the engine began to separate from the housing and started spraying fuel all over the firewall and the fuel ran down the firewall onto the exhaust pipes. No check engine light signaled. The only way I knew that it was spraying, was I started to smell raw fuel through the air conditioning vents. Luckily I was able to get it to a dealer before any fuel caught fire. The dealer repaired it but GM stuck me with half of the bill for the repair. I have pictures of the failed part if necessary. This is extremely dangerous to anyone that may not pay attention to car issues unless a check engine light comes on.

My Suburban's dashboard has a crack that extends now to the edge of the airbag compartment door, with a piece now missing and what appears to be something like an airbag visible. I am concerned the airbag will not deploy correctly if / when it is needed. I have called a certified Chevrolet dealer/ repair garage who said this is not an issue listed under Chevrolet's recall, although I have seen numerous other customers express similar concerns and issues as mine. Thank you.

Yesterday marked the 2nd time that the front windshield wipers on my 2021 Chevy Suburban (58k miles) randomly stopped working while driving down the highway in a rainstorm. They would not come out of the resting position regardless on what setting they were put to on the wheel switch. They continued to not work for the hour drive back to my house. The last time this happened all fuses, motor, etc were checked and tested good. The wipers started working again a day or so later, using the windshield wiper fluid button to test. This marks the second time my family has been put in a situation driving on the highway in a rainstorm with the wipers randomly stopping to work and having to navigate to safety with extremely limited visibility. This appears to be a fairly common issue with newer GM vehicles with the auto sense technology, found plenty of forums with the same experience. The major concern I have is that when this happens the wipers don’t work at all in any mode. Even trying to run in manual mode rather than auto sense the wipers will not move from the resting position. It leaves a driver with zero way to clear rain and see when this randomly occurs.

While traveling back from Labor Day Weekend on [XXX], I was driving in the Dallas Fort Worth area when I experienced loss of power to our vehicle on a major highway [XXX] and [XXX] ) and directly on a bridge with my entire family in the vehicle (4 kids and all of our luggage). It was a very dangerous and scary situation. We had to wait one hour for a tow truck to come and take my vehicle to the closest GM dealership. I was left stranded, 3 hours from my home with my four children and luggage. The Chevrolet dealership contacted me 9 days later and informed me the technician looked at the vehicle and determined the engine was locked up/seized. It would take 9 months to get the vehicle back into the shop to determine what caused the issue and then take 6-12 months for a new engine. I have a family of 6 and I'm left car-less for two years. Yet I still have to make the monthly payment on a vehicle that I won't be driving or be in possession of. MY BIGGEST ISSUE: GM has known that they have had engine issues for many years. Particularly, with Dynamic Fuel Management causing lifter issues which leads to engine failure, yet never disclosed this to me when I purchased the vehicle. Furthermore, they never disclosed that the issue was so prevalent that motors were back ordered for over a year. Consumers are being misled into spending their hard earned money on vehicles that have major mechanical design flaws known to the manufacturer. Once the mechanical flaw is realized, the vehicle can't be repaired for up to two years. Hiding this data from consumers should be criminal. Furthermore, General Motors to this point has been no help, with the GM customer satisfaction team telling us they can't do anything until a dealer diagnosis the issue, and the dealer stating they can't diagnose the issue until May of next year, at which time they would then look to order the motor which will take 9-12 months to deliver and install. The windows would go down all by themselves and not roll up . The infotainment system will flash on and off telling you to start strip all by itself. The door locks will lock you out and in not letting unlock the truck . The key fob is the only way to unlock it. I have taken it to the dealer five times to be repaired and they say GM software is not capable of finding the electrical problem. They just keep replacing parts. I filed a complaint with The State AG office and GM said they were not going to address the complaint because the vehicle was still under warranty.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that upon coming to a complete stop, he observed that the brake pedal briefly depressed all the way to the floorboard. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The contact stated that the failure only occurred upon coming to a complete stop. The power assist brake warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 126,000.

The wipers have stopped working on a least 6 different occasions. I have to pull over immediately due to not being able to see out the windshield. I try adjusting the switch through all the settings. I shut off the engine and restart the truck. I also turned off the rain sense function on the vehicle settings. Nothing I do will get the wipers working again. I have to wait for the rain to slow down to try to get to my destination. While I continue to drive, the wipers will start working again after about 15 or 20 minutes. The first time this occurred, they were only out for around 30 seconds before they started working again. It seems each occurrence is taking longer for the wipers to come back on. I took the vehicle to Armen Chevrolet of Ardmore on 08/05/2024 for service. They were not able to duplicate the problem. I was told to bring the truck back while the wipers are not working. That is a problem since this only happens intermittently. I fear for my safety and others if this happens at high speeds on a highway in heavy rain. I have another appointment on Monday 09/16/2024 to have diagnose the problem again.

I put vehicle in Chevy dealership 7/8/24 for cold start knocking sound. Dealers called 2 days later said it was defective lifter issue on the 6.2 liter GM engine.Dealer ordered new engine.on 8/23/24 while test driving vehicle with new engine in it while driving on the highway a fire started under the engine. I was told by dealer that people were telling the driver the vehicle was on fire. He abandoned the vehicle on the highway as it burned up inside and outside. Fire trucks put the fire out.Vehicle is total loss. Waiting two weeks for GM to tell me what they will do to help me. No reply to phone calls or emails unless I call them to check and find out what is going on. I wrote email to GM CEO and no reply. Insurance for me offered me pay out of current value. GMis supposedly going to investigate the vehicle and the cause of fire. Lifter issue is widespread on these engines. Many lawsuits. Vehicle is still in dealer lot burned up waiting for gm to investigate it. I am getting no resolution from GM to help me fully recover from this with new vehicle. If no one had told mechanic that vehicle was on fire who knows if he would have gotten out safely before engulfed in flames. I could not upload additional photos due to site no working.

- #11612585September 4, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
I purchased this car at CarZone in Riverside This April 2024. I drove home with my kids in the dark and people kept honking. The lights and turn signals did not work. I took the car back in. The back up camera was broken, the safety system is broken, brakes are bad, they put two bald and all four tires with gummy plugs after I brought it back a fourth time. The tires were not fixed. I found out driving on the highway with my daughter. My tires popped. I had to pay for all four to be replaced and the dealership will not take any of my calls. I then had a check oil light. I took the car in. Pep boys discovered they had replaced the oil hose with a different one. It backed up into the engine. I paid for an oil change and was told to keep an eye on it and contact the dealership. They would not respond. I went back to pep boys be my car was completely out of oil one week later and my headlights kept dying and the car wont accelerate. They did another diagnostic and contacted the dealership and warranty saying it needs a new engine entirely. They sent an adjuster who said nothing was wrong and closed it. I have had to take the car back since. The liftgate is zip tied to the tail pipe. I am terrified to drive this car, especially the head light and brakes. I bought new tires bc the dealership would not help even though I have all the text messages they sent about the issues. It no longer accelerates the way it should and I have to put three quarts of oil minimum per week to keep it running at all. I am out so much money that I do not have and I cant drive an unsafe car with my babies in it. Upon further investigation I have found this dealership has done this to many people. I just need help getting them to take this car back or pay to fix it and to make sure they are following safety laws. I feel responsible to report this because I know I wish someone else had and it would be absolutely devastating if someone got injured in a vehicle sold by them.
