When I hit any kind of bump in the road, especially when you change lanes the truck shakes so violently you have to slow down to about 10 miles an hour to get it to stop. This has been happening for years & on a few occasions it almost caused an accident. On one occurrence it was so bad the truck shook me off of the highway. This is an ongoing issue, I have tried many repairs to try to alleviate this problem with no luck.

Front end of vehicle shakes uncontrollably when hitting an uneven road at speed over 50-70 mph. Breaks have to be applied, speed reduction and hazards almost causing collisions. This has occurred 6 times since May 2022. There is current slight shaking on the steering wheel. Dissatisfied with the no disclosure of this issue when purchasing this vehicle and model.

I was driving down the road, going about 45-50. Hit a small bump and the truck started shaking to the point that I had to pull over immediately. Took it to a shop, everything is tight and in working order. As a precaution the tech replaced the shocks. This worked for a few days. On my way to work (7/23/2022), going about 45-50, the shaking happened again. I pulled over to stop it and not to injure other drivers on the road. Starting doing research and found that these Ford trucks are notorious for what is called the "Ford Death Wobble". Although the shocks are less than 4 months old the shaking is occurring more frequently and with more intensity.

At approximately 30000 mi the truck began shaking violently whenever it hit a decent bump. mainly when traveling over 60mph. This is extreme shaking what most call a death wobble. I took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the steering stabilizer which seemed to help for awhile. The truck now has 73000 miles on it and shakes so bad i don't feel safe driving it. I have replaced the steering stabilizer again and the problem still persists. At this point I feel there are probably multiple issues with the steering and suspension due to the shaking.

I purchased this vehicle new in 2020. I've driven the vehicle 33,000 miles and the well-documented "death wobble" has happened a couple of dozen times (reference Ford's CSP 20N04) - relatively minor incidents until lately. On August 13, 2022 I drove over a railroad crossing at 55 MPH (per the speed limit and traffic flow) and the truck went into a violent steering oscillation that required an emergency stop - luckily the semi behind me had sufficient distance and wherewithal to avoid hitting me. My passenger was so shaken that we had to stop for 10 minutes - he didn't want to continue in the truck. The truck is current at the local Ford Dealer and they are telling me that 'since they can't reproduce the issue they will not take the recommended actions outlined in 20N04. The severity of the "death wobble" renders the vehicle useless to me because I don't want my family to die. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Vehicle is available for inspection. Steering linkage is failing and/or there is a fundamental engineering flaw. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Vehicle became undrivable when the "death wobble" occurred. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Dealer has not been able to reproduce the issue because it happens relatively infrequently. But, when it happens, it renders the vehicle undriveable. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The dealer has inspected the vehicle. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.

I was driving on the Interstate on 8-23-2022 at approximately 1:00pm. As I crossed a bridge deck, the vehicle started shaking violently. It was hard to hold onto the steering wheel. The problem stopped when I pulled onto the shoulder and slowed way down. I called Beartooth Ford in Columbus, MT and reported the issue. They were very aware of what the issue was. They advised me that there was a recall that would fix it. I stopped at their business and they recorded the VIN and mileage of my vehicle. I do have a live video of the incident happening a second time but this system won’t allow me to attach it.
