Truck is experiencing condition that is commonly referred to as the death wobble on the internet. Traveling at 50 plus miles an hour and hit a small bump in the road and the truck immediately begins to shake and vibrate uncontrollably. Only way to stop the shaking is to come to almost a complete stop. This is a very serious and dangerous condition. Imagine traveling down the highway at 60 miles an hour and having to come to almost a complete stop with other trucks and cars wizzing past you. Not to mention the car that has to take evasive action behind you to keep from running into your vehicle. This is a very real and serious defect with the Ford F250 that Ford needs to take immediate ownership and corrective action. FORD 2017 F250 - Fuel system completely collapsed, with NO WARNING truck completely went powerless doing 70 MPH on the highway with my son in the back of the truck. Luckily I had the mind to pull over safely. What if I was towing a load or similar on mountain roads. Ford said they found rust and debris in the fuel system, they would not cover it under Premium Ford warranty. Safeco/Liberty Mutual stated they tested the fuel and was fine. No coverage either on Auto Insurance. Total cost was $13,500 to repair the system on which I had full warranty and full insurance coverage. Ford did help with a $4000 Customer retention help fund. I am reporting in hopes to save lives, if I I wasn't aware at the time of the complete power failure things could have been significantly worse. I was completely unimpressed with both Ford/Liberty Mutual on the handling of the SCARY situation. I send a personal letter to the FORD CEO and got nothing. I believe FORD is hiding on this issue with BAD FUEL pumps (CP4 version) and trying to blame owners or bad fuel systems.

Truck shakes violently when encountering uneven pavement at speeds in excess of 55mph. Difficult to keep the vehicle in the road when this happens and speed must be reduced to <35mph for it to subside. Unsafe activity to need your take when traveling on highway. Please consider issuing a recall for this ‘death wobble’ before someone is hurt or killed.

Very intermittently, when I brake this vehicle to bring it to a stop, the engine will start to rev uncontrollably. I have to practically "stand" on the brake to keep it from charging forward. I have to turn off the truck to stop this high speed revving. After this happened 3 times in 2 months we took it to the dealer to check. There was nothing on the floor that could cause the gas pedal to accelerate. The dealer in Kingwood, WV could not duplicate, and found nothing wrong when inspected. We only use the truck once or twice a month so it is a low use vehicle. For this reason the problem does not occur frequently enough to replicate "on demand". While there was not a crash, it almost revved through an intersection and almost ran into another vehicle. Fortunately I was able to throw it into park (Not Good for the vehicle) and then turn it off.

I bought my 2019 F250 Super Duty diesel 4x4 brand new in December 2019. My truck has had and continues to have very, very serious returning "Death Wobble" issues. At least 10 times in 3 years! The dealership has already replaced the steering "damper" once and now it is time to replace it again, yes a second time. The truck only has 31000 miles. My wife, for the first time, experienced this "Death Wobble" on last weeks trip to Louisiana. It happened 3 times in the course of 500 miles. She was scared half to death! And rightly so as every time it happens it scares me to because of the very, very violent shaking of the truck. And it makes me wonder if I can regain control without causing an accident or crashing!!!! You cannot imagine how bad this "Death Wobble is unless you experience it happening yourself. I think you should have FORD take a serious look at this issue and figure something out before someone dies via "Death Wobbling Ford Trucks"!!! I am sure that I'm not alone with this issue with with Ford truck "Death Wobble"!!!!!! Please help!

When driving over uneven pavement or really bumpy roads, the front end of my truck shakes uncontrollably and I have to slow down really quickly or come to a complete stop in order for it to stop. It really freaked me out the first time it happened and now it's happening more frequently and I don't know what to do about it. I'm seeing that I'm not alone in this issue and if Ford knows about the issue and complaints, then they need to do something about this before I or someone really gets hurt.

Steering wheel started shaking so violently that we thought we’d blown out a tire (or two). Speed approx 70mph on highway. Luckily no traffic around us or we could’ve been in a serious accident.

When I’m driving the truck and I am at speeds 50 mph + and hit a pothole or crack in the road I get the death wobble. The steering wheel will violently shake in my hands and the whole front end too. It is difficult to control. I have to slow down the truck and even come to a complete stop to get it to stop. It’s been so bad at times I hear the front tires start chirping like I’m doing a hopping burnout.

Truck has what is now commonly called the "Death Wobble". This is, unfortunately, a common problem with F250 Super Duty trucks. This is a very dangerous loss of control at typical highway speeds. Uncontrollable shaking after hitting minor roadway bumps at speed. The fact that Ford is fully aware of the issue and has not done a recall is hard to believe. Do people have to die on the road because Ford won't recognize this issue? My truck has only 22,000 miles on it but is off warranty as 3 years have passed since date of purchase, low miles due to Covid! I have been told by Ford that some some of the trucks are covered but, unfortunately, mine is not. I guess only the broken ones aren't covered...

Driving on interstate and all of a sudden the truck began to shake uncontrollably, so much so I could not hold the wheel. I some how managed not to hit anyone or anything and got it off on to the side of the road. I cut the tuck off, checked to see if anything look broke or if I blew out both front tires. All appeared to be in order.

10 times over about a 12 month period,(with 5 of the 10 happening in one 6 hour period, after we have spent thousands of dollars trying to fix this issue) if we run over a bump in the road at over 60 mph, the front end of the truck goes into violent, uncontrollable shaking. The only way to stop it is to smash the brakes as hard as you can to get the trucks speed below 30 mph so you can regain control of the steering wheel and front end. It’s one of the scariest things we have ever experienced. Please make FORD fix this problem before someone gets killed!!!!

I experienced the death wobble at highway speeds of 70mph 4 times in less then one week on a vacation trip. Luckily it was on straight sections of the road. It requires slamming on the breaks and slowing the speed to less the 25mph to get the vehicle back under control. Extremely dangerous and should be immediate recall! I have great dash cam footage of several of the incidents. Thanks [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

When traveling at highway speed, experienced the "death wobble". The front end and steering wheel shakes violently making steering impossible. Slow down to about 40mph and it stops. This has occurred 3 times when hitting a bump. Occurred once with just the truck and twice while pulling a 5th wheel. Ford dealer replaced tie rod ends etc but still Occurred after that, now waiting on a new steering damper.

At speeds over 60mph when driving across an uneven road surface or bump the cab of the truck begins to shake uncontrollable and will not stop until the speed is below 35. It has happened multiple times on major highways and changing lanes and reducing speed has nearly caused a traffic accident

At highway speeds (65-70 mph) if a pot hole or rough expansion joint is hit the vehicle begins to shake violently. Very difficult to control and steer. When breaking gets down to about 45 mph the violent shaking stops.
