STEERING, SUSPENSION
I recently purchased this vehicle and have had the "death wobble" occur 3 times recently. Driving at normal conditions, hit a bump in the road and the front wheels violently start shaking and the vehicle must come to a complete stop to stop the shaking. I had a semi behind me last time and was almost rear ended. This is a huge concern, and I've read where Ford refuses to address the issue as it is expensive to repair. I am formerly declaring that if this causes an accident it is on record that I have expressed my concerns and l will hold Ford liable.

SUSPENSION:FRONT:STABILIZER BAR
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH over a bump in the roadway, the vehicle wobbled uncontrollably. The contact replaced the steering stabilizer and front shocks; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the steering stabilizer and several other parts were replaced; however, the repair was not successful. The failure mileage was 130,000.

Mechanical Failure Description: The vehicle suffered a sudden, severe engine knock and rattling under load at approximately 87,594 miles due to a catastrophic valvetrain failure. Dealership diagnostics at Randall Ford confirmed a loss of compression on cylinder 4 and extensive metal shaving contamination throughout the engine oil filter assembly. This severe internal damage resulted from an apparent mechanical failure of the hydraulic lifters and camshaft lobes, requiring a mandatory and complete replacement of the longblock engine assembly. This failure mirrors the exact lubrication and valvetrain degradation mechanisms currently being evaluated under active NHTSA Defect Petition DP26011, demonstrating that the structural defect impacts the initial 2020 model year production run of the 7.3L Godzilla platform.

ENGINE
The engine started misfiring and running rough while driving down the highway. Without any notice or symptoms, power was lost, and the truck was unable to accelerate. After pulling over and parking, it would not restart. Step one Ford in Crestview Florida diagnosed the engine as having lifter/cam failure. Remedy is engine replacement. This truck has the same engine and failure that NHTSA opened an investigation into (NBTSA dp26011) Truck has the 7.3L gas engine.

My vehicle has been at Ford of Harvey since 8/31/26. Dealer replaced ignition coil 8/18/26. Light and rough idle returned and the dealer determined a new engine would be needed. Dealer says Ford warranty only wants to replace cam shaft. Metal in oil was found and dealer has fought corporate warranty for over a month, ripping apart my engine. The fear is engine could seize at highway speeds as a result of internal damage.caused by circulating debris. Truck still sits at dealer.

STEERING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked, and while inspecting under the hood, the contact became aware that there was battery fluid leaking from the top of the battery. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the battery was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the battery was replaced a second time. Additionally, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed an abnormal sound coming from the steering column. The contact referenced an undisclosed Technical Service Bulletin with a similar failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer.

SERVICE BRAKES
When having to brake hard such as when a deer runs out my trucks ABS does not activate and my tires lock up causing me to slide. This has happened several times over the past few months . there are no ABS dtc codes and I have consulted technicians to no avail. I will note the last incident below but it has happened repeatedly.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that while idling and while driving, the engine was running rough and the engine power was reduced. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

A very well taken care of engine has now produced a knocking diesel sound like so many other that are seen out there now at 93k mine is on the way out and unnessarly needs way tomuch work that exceedes the value of the vehicle this has been noted by thousands on line with the same issue with less milage and is so bad it is no worth fixing from what i have read and seen on line all due to a faulty oil pump and timing chaine tensioner gasket that is not able to be seen there somany issues withat year motor that once was aknow to be a good motor then changed to be catastrophic to upper engine damage that ford knows about and didnt correct from 2007 to 2014 .the 5.4 triton engine is the series of engines that have the issues seen nation wide ....ford needs to be found accoutable for manufactureing of a fault gasket that is not abile to be replaced with out a taking the the front of the engine apart

Ford F-250 Super Duty (VIN: [XXX]) eastbound on [XXX], preparing to turn right (south) onto [XXX]. Accelerated, turned on the right blinker, and attempted to turn the steering wheel right, but the vehicle continued straight into the active intersection, almost t-boning another vehicle. The dashboard brake warnings illuminated, the instrument cluster lit up, and steering control was completely lost. We managed to safely bring the truck home and parked it. [XXX] 520 PM Brought the truck to Fairway Ford in Placentia, CA (Advisor: [XXX], RO #[XXX]). FDRS diagnostic scan revealed DTC C0051 (Steering Wheel Position Sensor) along with network communication faults (U0415 / U0418). [XXX]Text message from dealership offering to sale me another vehicle. [XXX] Advisor called and left message that the vehicle was ready for pick up. 1141am -1207pm CALLED FORD CUSTOMER CARE 1800 392-3673 Andrea Ref # [XXX] Our vehicle was brought in on [XXX] for the 25S94/25V626 Steering Recall Campaign that was mailed out to us. We then took to Fairway Ford in Placentia, California. Tech 525 spent 0.7 units of time on the vehicle and the Steeling column upper shaft inspection replacement FSA 25S94 for cause of concern. Correction according to [XXX] Staked upper steering colum shaft, length and feel gauge inspected – passed per FSA 25S94C •Part FMC W720796 S439 BOLT •Part FMC W714409 S439 BOLT •Part FMC W705132 S439 SCREW •Tech 525 Facio Jr, Gilbe Because of that initial recall inspection passing on May 14, 2026, we have serious safety concerns. On [XXX], we contacted Ford Customer Care at 1-800-392-3673, spoke with representative Andrea, and opened Reference Case #[XXX]. As consumers, we need full assurance regarding the vehicle's structural and electronic steering integrity before we can comfortably accept the vehicle back. On October 9, 2026 at approximately 8:30 AM, my 2019 Ford F-250 6.7L Power Stroke diesel, with 76,512 miles, suffered a catastrophic high-pressure fuel injection pump failure while traveling approximately 55 mph on FM 3351 near Camp Stanley, Texas. The vehicle displayed “Speed Limited” and “Reduced Engine Power” warnings, then lost throttle response and propulsion and the engine shut down while moving. Steering and braking effort increased substantially after the engine stopped. The truck would crank but would not restart. Alamo Diesel Service, an independent diesel repair facility, confirmed no fuel-rail pressure, fuel leaking in the engine valley, and that the injection pump had “blown and cracked the head.” Inspection revealed metallic debris and extensive fuel-system contamination requiring replacement/repair of the pump, injectors, rails, fuel lines, return lines and filters, plus cleaning of the tank and cooler. The estimate is $11,193.97. Diagnostic codes included P0087 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low) and P2291. P0087 freeze-frame data recorded the vehicle at 54.68 mph and 1,300 RPM, confirming the fuel-pressure failure occurred while driving. There were no prior fuel-system problems and the fuel filters were recently replaced. I am concerned because there is a long, documented history of failures involving this type of high-pressure diesel fuel pump, including failures that can introduce metal into the fuel system and cause loss of propulsion. Ford has also recalled certain later-model 6.7L Super Duty trucks for high-pressure fuel pump failures that can cause loss of drive power. I am requesting NHTSA evaluate whether my 2019 failure may be related to a broader safety defect. Ford has been notified under case CXH-09644112-L1W2N0 but has not inspected the vehicle. The vehicle and failed components are currently available for inspection.

Pulled into my driveway, put vehicle in park and vehicle rolled away. Dealer says transmission needs to be replaced. NHTSA bulletin 22s22 is a roll away risk for 2020 F-250 but my VIN is not included in this recall but I fear more vehicles were affected by this then what ford reported

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Multiple times while I am driving my 2024 F250 on the highway while using cruise control, my truck's speed limit sign reading system mis-reads the 70 mph speed limit signs as a 35 mph sign and automatically activates emergency braking down to 35 mph unless I disengage the cruise control system. My local dealer confirmed the problem during a test drive, updated the software and advised the problem was solved. However, the same problem occurred several times this weed while I was driving on the highway. I believe that it is only a. matter of time until my truck causes an accident on the highway.

At interstate speeds, when the truck hits a bump or an expansion joint going onto or off a bridge, the steering wheel jerks hard and pulls the truck into the next lane. I've been reporting this front-end problem to Ford dealers for almost two years. About eight months ago, on XXX near [XXX], it nearly made me hit the car in the lane beside me. It happened again this past weekend (XXX) on XXX in [XXX], coming back from [XXX] with my daughter in the truck: coming off a bridge, it jerked me toward the guardrail. [XXX] Ford, [XXX] Ford, and Johnson City Ford have each inspected the truck multiple times, and the problem has not been fixed. This is a serious safety risk at highway speed. Wrench light on dash comes on sporadically with message that there is a powertrain malfunction / reduced power. It said the system has detected a powertrain or 4 WD fault. Reduced power may put both the driver and others at risk depending on the area in which this occurs, ex interstate. Dealer has yet to remedy problem. Car has been to the dealer service department 4 times for this issue. Codes present are U0121 (lost communication with ABS control module A), U1012 (invalid internal control module data received from ABS control module), and U3035 (communication authentication signal invalid data)

STRUCTURE:BODY
The second power door lock actuator has failed on this vehicle at only 24,500 miles. This time the RF door did not lock or unlock electronically. I replaced the failed actuator myself. The inside of the actuator had water in it that looks like it caused the small electric motor to fail. This was the same cause of failure last year when the LF door started not working in cold weather and later failed completely. I believe this is a safety concern as the doors no longer lock or unlock as expected. This opens the door to intruders getting in the vehicle and defeats the protection of an automatically locked door in roll over collisions. This is not an uncommon issue on this vehicle per my conversations with other owners. I have retained both failed lock actuators in the event someone would like to inspect them. It appears that the sealant that was used to seal the two halves of the actuator was not adequate to prevent water intrusion as there was water directly where the case halves meet.

The transmission can remain in 7 gear and not downshift when stopped. The only fix is putting it in park. The transmission also has intermittent rough gear changes and problems downshifting while stopping. Dealership updated the TCM which only made the issue worse. Ford stated that I should go to another dealer to see if they could replicate the issue (local dealer said they couldn’t replicate the problem)
