The truck has developed a significant knock coming from the intake manifold. It is loud enough to hear with the hood closed. The problem exists warm and cold. The knock was verified by Sunrise Ford in Fontana, CA in December of 2024. The Dealership had another F250 on the lot with the same 6.2 engine and that it also has a knock coming from the intake manifold, so they considered the situation "normal". There is a significant amount of information available that the knock is related to an impending failure of the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC). If the IRMC fails, the parts will go into the combustion area and could cause an immediate catastrophic failure of the engine. At best this problem creates a loss of power and a pulsing vibration at idle.

I was driving on a 1200 mile trip with my 39ft camper. I came off an overpass bridge and my truck felt like both front tires had popped. My steering wheel was bouncing like crazy and luckily I was able to get the vehicle to a stop and off the road. My 2 children and fiancé were also in the car and were lucky not to be killed. After stopping I looked over the truck and trailer and saw nothing wrong. We started to look up the death wobble on this model and it appears many people have also reported it. This truck only has 44k miles on it. I reported it to ford and they have made it clear that they will not be doing anything, other than allowing my extended service plan to replace the same parts if they find an issue. After talking with ford, I was driving my truck again without the trailer and the same thing happened. Luckily I was able to gain control of the truck again. The first instance I was going approximately 70 mph and the second I was around 60 mph. I am now afraid to drive this vehicle with my family and unfortunately I’m still 1000 miles from home.

Manufacturer Recall Number22S22 NHTSA Recall Number22V256 For the past three years, I have been trying to get Gullo Ford in Conroe, TX to perform the recall repair mentioned above on my vehicle. Multiple times I have tried to call or visit the the dealership in person to schedule the repair. Every time I am told that they either do not have any openings and that they are booked for the full year, or do not have the parts to perform the recall fix. I am then told that they will contact me to schedule an appointment to perform the recall, however, each time I am never contacted back. To make matters worse, for maintenance that I paid out of pocket during this time frame, they gladly perform the work needed with no push back or delays. I am trying to determine what options I have at this point to ensure my vehicle recall is performed as I'm afraid it will eventually cause safety issues for me and my family.

Rec'd recall notice but with no available resolution offered to us. The letter says the risk is "A loss of motive power increase the risk of crash". We drive this truck on the regular. Also, we have a 2,000 mile trip planned with children in the truck. How do you expect us to drive this truck and take this planned trip when Ford's own words say we are at risk of a crash? Will you put pressure on Ford to pay for us a rental vehicle until this is resolved?

All 4 have some signs 2 of them have major signs. I have more pictures but they won’t upload.

When driving over 55mph and hitting a bump, pothole, etc....the death wobble starts taking excessive force to keep the truck on the road with the steering wheel nowhere aligned to where the tires are aimed. Dealership stated they wouldn't take the vehicle on trade due to the steering box needing to be addressed first. no warning lamps illuminate. Happens every time while driving from mileage 170K - 189K.

On [XXX] I was driving to North Carolina pulling a 43 foot fifth wheel camper when I hit a bump driving at 65 MPH when I hit a bump and experienced the notorious Ford Death Wobble. The whole truck & steering started to shake violently I had to almost come to complete stop on interstate to get truck to stop shaking & to get truck under control I do know in fact that Ford has had issues with this problem & I am concerned why Ford has not recalled their trucks for this problem. My wife also drives this truck pulling the same camper. I am concerned this will happen again when she is driving. This problem almost caused a wreck from traffic behind me having to stop suddenly. The tie rod broke while the vehicle was in motion. This caused the vehicle to lose control and crash into another vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. There was no warning and no sign of any issues. Vehicle has been very well maintained, in fact, it has been in the shop at least once per month for the past year due to a number of mechanical issues unrelated to the tie rod.
