All of my rear lights stopped working with no warning. My blind spot monitoring and cross traffic detection also stopped working. This is a serious issue as the light go out intermittenly without warning. Especially dangerous at night. Dealership thinks it might be a faulty harness. Dealership thought they fixed it by cleaning contacts but the very next day they went out again while driving in a snow storm. Luckily no one was behind me because they would not have been able to see me.

Both the driver and passenger mirrors will not fully adjust. The mirrors need a different adjustment for standard driving and when towing a travel trailer. Neither mirror will properly adjust for towing and non towing applications. The lack of proper mirror adjustment causes a safety issue as the driver cannot see things in their full scope due to the mirror misalignment. I have almost had two accidents due to the mirrors not being able to be properly adjusted. Ford is aware of this issue on 2017 to 2023 F150, F250 and F350 trucks with the tow mirrors. Ford has issued a Special Service Message#51829. Ford has a cleaning procedure they wish to be done as part of the diagnostics but Ford and the Ford Dealer will not release this information. Ford is attempting to block warranty claims related to this issue. I believe they are doing this so they will not have to issue yet another recall! I spoke with a Ford Dealer this morning and they stated that they had no knowledge of the SSM51829 or the mirror cleaning procedure. Even though the truck is under the Ford warranty, they would require a $250.00 dollar fee just to inspect the problem.

NHTSA recall 24v455 - possible fuel pump failure can result in engine stall which increases the risk of crash. This recall has been open since July 2025 with no action or reasonable fix or repair from Ford putting myself and family in danger.

Subject: Safety Recall 24V-957 – Loss of Power Risk – Dealer Mishandling I am filing a complaint regarding Ford recall 24V-957 (Ford reference 24S78) for my vehicle. The recall states the defect can cause: “Loss of driving power, increasing the risk of a crash” “Engine stall” “Loss of motive power while driving” My vehicle has shown symptoms consistent with these safety risks. When I brought the vehicle to the dealership: 1. They claimed fuel contamination but provided a fuel sample with a Dec 3 timestamp, even though they originally claimed the issue was discovered on Nov 26, raising chain-of-custody concerns. 2. They have refused to properly address the recall or escalate the matter. 3. They threatened to report my rental car as stolen, even though I have not refused to return it and the vehicle is still under an unresolved recall safety issue. 4. Ford Customer Care refuses to intervene and instructs me to deal only with the dealership, despite this being a manufacturer safety recall. This situation has left me without clear direction, without safe transportation, and with concerns about dealership misconduct and improper handling of a safety-critical recall. I am requesting NHTSA review this recall handling and ensure Ford properly manages recall repairs, towing, rental support, and dealer oversight.

My 2021 Ford F-250 equipped with the 10R140 10-speed transmission suffered a sudden internal failure around ~100,000 miles. The failure symptoms and internal damage match the defect Ford acknowledged in Safety Recall 22V-256, which applies to the 2020 F-250/F-350 trucks using the same 10R140 transmission. Despite identical symptoms and the same transmission design, my VIN [XXX] ) was excluded from the recall. NHTSA’s VIN decoder also returned an “ambiguous model year” notice, suggesting this vehicle may have been built during the transition period where Ford continued using the same defective 10R140 components. Symptoms experienced prior to failure included harsh shifting, delayed engagement, gear slipping, and eventual loss of drive. A transmission shop stated they “won’t touch these transmissions” due to known issues. The failure created a serious safety risk due to sudden loss of power while driving. This appears to be a recall scope error. Early 2021 units like mine are experiencing the same 10R140 internal failures as the recalled 2020 population. I request NHTSA investigate whether Ford under-reported the affected VIN range and whether the recall should be expanded to include early-2021 F-250 trucks. 10R140 transmission failure on a 2021 Ford F-250. Identical to the failure described in 2020 Recall 22V-256. Early 2021 VIN, suspected recall scope error. approximately sometime in January 2025 not exact date. October 2024 (while out of state vacation): The transmission violently downshifted upon moderate acceleration such that truck lurched with a loud bang, went into limp safe mode in traffic, with no rear warning because brakes were not applied. I was able to shut the vehicle off and restart, and able to engage the transmission, though engagement remained harsh. No Check Engine Lights were illuminated. Upon return home, I got the truck to local dealer service center. They had the truck for a week and said they could not determine a cause or problem...no scanner codes recorded? Their tech could not duplicate. From October 2024 until June 2025, this same behavior occurred 2-4 times, all without CELs. June 2025: Truck taken to local dealership with symptom list, only now occurring more frequently. At my insistence, I asked the dealer to involve Ford Engineering, to diagnose, and to compel Ford to honor the active full warranty still in place. This unresolved issue began October 2024. The dealer had the truck for over a month, and said he could not proceed further in diagnosing unless Ford authorized warranty payment for labor and parts. No progress was made, and it was told to me I HAVE TO CONTACT FORD and push, because the dealer is an independent shop, not Ford proper. I took the truck away and drove, to allow possible worsening, or some other code to be recorded or CELs to show. October 2025: Truck violentlt downshifted without acceleration or deceleration from 35 mph to almost )mph, skidding and fishtailing, going into limp mode, and I was almost rear ended by following traffic...since brakes were not activated to cause this. Truck went immediately into limp mode, and would not now engage PARK. I turned it off, restarted, and transmission would hardly go into DRIVE. I limped home, and vowed I will not drive it again until repaired! No CELs illuminated. The truck was towed to the dealer at my cost, and has been there over 2.5 weeks as of 11/8/25. Ford denies help.

thank you for a response the issue is the vehicle is making a cluck noise when turning i took it to a ford dealer mind you i paid 2 thousand dollars for an extended warranty from ford they put the truck on a lift and said there was nothing wrong i instructed them to drive it and they did agree there was a clunck noise and dismissed it as an axle shift with a co worker moving the steering wheel i heard the clucling and noticed the joint at the pitman arm moving up and down what is the point and when does ford decide that it is bad as a commercial vehicle inspector for the state of ma. there should be no play in joints this truck steering could fail as with other ones out on the roads because ford and its dealers are dismissing complaint and its not fair or resonable that they should even question steering issues please for the safety of all look into ther ford steering center link failures and hold them accontable to take care of these issues thank you sincerly [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The failed component is a lifter/camshaft. Luckily I was attentive to my vehicle and noticed a ticking noise within the engine and took it to a dealer for diagnosis. An engine failure while traveling at highway speeds could be a disastrous to occupants and others around them. This appears to be a common problem with the 7.3l engine. The check engine light illuminated after i noticed the ticking noise.

- #11694080October 17, 2025VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Intermittent delay in throttle response. Sometimes the delay is nonexistent or nearly imperceptible, other times the delay can be 2 seconds or more. Is very dangerous when trying to merge with flowing traffic. Occurs most often with the steering wheels turned and accelerating from stop, but has happened while driving straight at freeway speeds. Turning off traction control seems to mitigate but not entirely eliminate the issue.
