At 65 + MPH my truck experienced high speed wobble, it made me slow down in the fast lane to around 40 MPH to get vehicle under control and move to right lanes. Steering wheel was out of control and wobbles shaking the instrument display was unable to see any display because of buffering, this is the 3rd time it has happened and have 42k miles on vehicle.

I was driving on the highway with 3 other passengers, at around 75 mph when my steering wheel started to shake wildly and my truck started to shake violently, to the point of almost losing control. I let off the gas and changed lanes to the right and breaked hard to a stop on the shoulder. I got out and inspected all 4 tires, expecting to see a front tire flat… but everything looked fine. I got back in and truck and drove off. Everything seemed normal. Friend from work explained about Ford Truck’s and Jeep’s infamous “Death Wobble.” Freaked me out, and scared the crap out of the other adult passengers. This worries me for my upcoming family road-trip.

When traveling on the highway at speeds above 65 mph, a slight bump in the road would take control over the steering wheel and cause the steering wheel and whole truck to shake uncontrollably. Braking would only prolong the shake. Only by slowing down to 45mph or lower, by taking foot off the gas, would the shaking stop. The process repeats at the next uneven pavement it encounters. I have multiple videos that I can share, but this site will not let me upload. This felt very unsafe and luckily I was the only car on the road at the time or the outcome may have been different.

6/25/22 around 5:30PM, my 2021 F250 7.3 gas engine with 10k miles experienced sudden unintended acceleration. At McDonald’s pickup window foot firmly on brake pedal, my truck felt like it was being pushed away from window. Truck got up to speed of approx. 5 mph and moved forward around 30 feet, shifted truck out of drive and RPMs when up to 5k. Foot was on brake pedal the entire time. Turned truck off and walked around truck to confirm no damage, problem has not yet happened again.

Windshield Wipers do not activate when turned on. Rain sensing option is turned off. This is my only vehicle to get to work besides my wife's car, but she needs hers to get to work as she is in the medical field. There wasn't any warning, I was driving west into the sun when I tried to clean my windshield by activating the windshield wiper spray and the wipers never came on. I had to stick my head out the driver side window to see, as my view was completely blocked by the wiper fluid and by the sun. This occurred on May 5,2022 at about 7:30PM. I checked the wipers once when I picked up the vehicle and they did work, but on May 5, 2022 is when I discovered they didn't. Gene Messer Ford in Amarillo Texas has inspected the vehicle and determined the windshield wiper motor is faulty and needs replaced. I was informed the wiper motor on my F250 is not under the wiper recall that was just issued, but the repair will be covered under warranty if the part was available. Part # HC3Z17508A, is backordered with no estimated availability. After Gene Messer Ford made the diagnosis, I had to drive my vehicle in rain without operational wipers 3 or 4 days later. I used Rain X on my windshield to help with visibility. I ordered the F250 from Oxmoor Ford in Louisville Kentucky on November 15, 2021 and it was shipped to Gene Messer Ford in Amarillo. The F250 was built on March 28, 2022 and arrived to Gene Messer on 4/22/2022. I picked the vehicle up on 4/26/2022. On May 16, 2022 I emailed[XXX] [XXX] in Oxmoor Ford to inform him of the situation. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The forward heat shield/sound insulator became dislodged from the retainers and dropped onto the forward driveshaft. This damaged the driveshaft. This incident could have resulted in the driveshaft fracturing and may have resulted in an accident. This condition is documented in NHTSA Campaign number 22V-087 and Ford recall 22S09. Per the Ford dealer who repaired the truck and per an employee of Ford Motor Company, the two wheel drive Ford Super Duty trucks have not been included in the recall. These places thousands of vehicle owners at risk of an accident related to this condition.

Dear staff; I purchased my 2021 Ford F-250 new July 25th, 2021. I noticed my undercarriage was covered in great portions of rust. The front driveshaft to the outer ends and the rear housing, including the rear driveshaft u-joint has a significant amount of rust. What’s surprising is I have only 5400 miles and the truck appears to look 20 years old. I have a neighbor who is a GM of another competitor dealership. He crawled under the truck and said this is a safety issue which needs to be addressed. Two Ford dealership Service managers informed over the phone this is a common issue and not to be concerned. I have owned eight Ford pickups throughout my life and never had this deep concern. Knowing this rust has perforated the tie rods, I don’t feel safe driving this $60,000 vehicle. My only recourse since Ford won’t honor its warranty is for me to trade it in on a GMC. I have been loyal to Ford for 36 years to finally get shrugged off.

Tailgate realize button in cab also on remote works while vehicle is in motion. While reaching to adjust my pedals while towing on the highway at approximately 70mph tailgate button was pressed, allowing my payload to full all over the Highway. This could easy result in injury or death to others traveling on the Highway. Also, in certain states including Florida, children are aloud to ride in beds of pickup trucks.

The steering wheel started shaking violently, fighting with me for control. Observers said my tires looked as though they where coming off. While this was occurring the vehicle drifted toward the center lane as if the alignment was out. Dealership stated it was called Death wobble a known issue on F-250's but it was not a recall

Speed Control: During night driving on 11/25/2021 at 65 mpg on I-80, I released my foot from the accelerator to slowdown, BUT the F-250 failed to slow down. Upon applying the brakes, the truck slowed (a message on the dash stated I applied the brakes), BUT, upon releasing the brakes, the truck ACCELERATED. I repeated the braking solution, until I found a safe pullover. I shut the truck off & put the headlights to off from auto. Problem did not repeat, but the Blind Spot, Cross Traffic, & Airbag Faults continued as long as I had the headlights on. On 11/26/2021, I left a message with All American Ford, Paramus, NJ, Service Drive Manager. This was a VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATION!. NOTE: On 10/26/2021 the 2021 F-250 began displaying errors, as logged on FORD App Display Center; “Blind Spot Detection with Cross Traffic” (Control mod comm prob), followed by “Restraints Indicator Lamp Warning” (Fault with Pass Airbag Deactivation Indicator) – This is DANGEROUS, because it INDICATED that the PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG is OFF!! Since 10/26/2021, besides the faults, the AC would just shut off, front driver & passenger side windows would not roll down/up, Automatic high beams Failed, AC temp & radio controls were inoperable. Automatic deployment of running boards Failed. Hand touch locking & unlocking Failed, thus the push button tailgate release FAILED. I took the F-250 to Tomball Ford, TX for repair. They noticed that the right rear upper portion of the taillight was cracked. Stated this was probably the issue, given the Blind Spot Indicator Module was located within the taillight assembly. I paid $1,000+ to replace, then left for NJ & the faults & other issues continued. I deduced through trial & error, that the faults & issues ONLY occurred when the HEADLIGHTS were on!

The 10-Speed Automatic Transmission shifts hard and randomly. Leaving a stop sign, at any rate of speed, causes slippage in the shifting. Sometimes it'll shift too slowly, resulting in a jerky motion of the vehicle. Sometimes when on the highway, usually traveling at 68mph (cruise control), the vehicle will randomly jump gears when it's not necessary. Recently while getting up to speed we heard a large grinding noise shifting into 4th gear. The vehicle, otherwise, runs great. The transmission leaves alot to be desired and I do not have any confidence in the shifting. It's comparable to a teenager just learning how to drive a stick shift. If I wanted that, I would have one. My transmission fluid is where it should be and the vehicle has less than 8,000 miles on it.
