Adaptive Cruise Control and/or Camera System misreads speed limit signs. 1. System misreads speed limit signs by acquiring information from State Route sign. Example: SR248, Speed Limit 55mph, SR248 marker 20, Reads it as 20mph. Example: SR2004, Speed Limit 45mph, SR2004 marker 60 and 70, reads it as 70mph. 2. System misreads Truck Speed Limit Signs as vehicle Speed Limit. The problem occurs when both Speed Limit and SR signs are in close proximity to each other. Vehicle is available. The system if engaged, has the potential to accelerate or decelerate as much as 35mph in these examples, causing potential loss of control because of rapid acceleration or deceleration. The vehicle has been at the dealer twice and they have not been able to replicate. They may not have been able to replicate because of sign placing in their area. Subject: Formal Customer Complaint – 2025 Ford F-150 Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power I am requesting that Ford Motor Company open a formal Customer Relationship Center case concerning an unresolved powertrain malfunction affecting my 2025 Ford F-150. Vehicle: 2025 Ford F-150 VIN: [XXX] Mileage: Approximately 19,215 miles Servicing Dealer: Gary Yeomans Ford, Daytona Beach, Florida On XXX my Ford mobile application generated an “Action needed” vehicle health alert stating: “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power.” My vehicle is also displaying an illuminated wrench warning and a “Service Engine Soon” message. The Ford application continues to show the Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power condition and states that service is recommended. I contacted Gary Yeomans Ford regarding the condition. I was informed that a part necessary to repair the problem is on national backorder. However, I have not been provided with the diagnostic trouble codes, exact diagnosis, failed component, Ford part number, estimated part availability, estimated repair date, or written confirmation regarding whether Ford considers the vehicle safe to continue operating while this condition remains unresolved. At this time, I have not experienced an actual loss of power, stalling, abnormal shifting, accident, or other drivability event. Nevertheless, I am concerned about continuing to operate a vehicle that Ford’s own system identifies as having a “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power” condition while the repair remains unavailable. I am requesting that Ford: 1. Open a formal Customer Relationship Center case and provide me with the case number. 2. Obtain the complete diagnosis and diagnostic trouble codes from Gary Yeomans Ford. 3. Provide the name and part number of the failed component. 4. Confirm the warranty coverage for this repair. 5. Escalate the nationally backordered replacement part. 6. Provide an estimated part availability and repair date. 7. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA),

I am writing to inform you that I have received my 2025 Ford F-150 back from the Steivers Ford dealership in Union City after the reported repairs were completed. Unfortunately, the vehicle still has a severe shake and vibration while driving. In fact, the condition is now worse than it was when I originally brought the vehicle in for service. After being without my truck for an extended period while repairs were performed, I am extremely disappointed that the underlying issue has not been resolved. This ongoing defect continues to affect the drivability of the vehicle and has significantly impacted my confidence in its safety and reliability. At this point, I would like to understand what Ford’s next steps are to permanently resolve this issue. Multiple repair attempts have not corrected the problem, and I do not believe it is reasonable to continue experiencing the same—or worse—condition after such extensive repairs. Please contact me as soon as possible to discuss how Ford intends to move forward. I am looking for a prompt and lasting resolution.

I'm not sure what failed but a Google search with symptoms tells me it's a "throttle-by-wire" malfunction. The F150 truck accelerates immediately and aggresively to full throttle when I floor the gas peddle to merge traffic on freeways. It continues at full throttle regardless what I do. Braking gives a pop up window on the dash that reads "Brake Applied Power Reduced", and the brakes do slow the vehicle and even stop it but the engine revs at full throttle. This occurred the day I bought it driving home from dealership, testing it, I floored the gas peddle while on the freeway to see how it performs accelerating while passing other vehicles. It took over that day, I thought it had somehow activated Cruise Control being a new vehicle and me unfamiliar with operations, I would figure that out later and forgot. I pulled over that day, killed engine, restarted and it was fine. It repeated this malfunction two maybe three other times since that first day. Yesterday, XXX, would be the third or fouth time it has occurred and it wouldn't correct. I pulled over three times, put it in Park and it reved full throttle, killed it, waited two minutes, restarted and it went to full throttle. It is parked in my driveway and will accelerate to full throttel immediately even in Park. I am going to have it towed this morning, XXX to Brinson Ford in [XXX]. Therefore, a dealer has yet to look at it or try and reproduce problem. The first occurrence was the day I bought it which was September 12, 2025.
