The back window of the Panoramic sunroof exploded, and spider webbed across the entire glass windowpane while going down the road. Pieces of glass shards immediately fell all over the truck interior and then a piece of glass fell out of the middle of the sunroof panel. I notified my Ford dealer immediately and took it in for observation and review. I also took pictures of the glass right away.

Vehicle suddenly downshifted on highway causing rapid deceleration. Vehicle was then limited to third gear (although dash did not indicate such) with tachometer limited to approximately 1500rpm. After resting for 2 days, vehicle suddenly ran like normal, with no logical explanation.

I was driving at about 65-70mph. The yellow wrench light came on. My spedometer went to zero and my digital screen went blank. I exited the road and restarted the truck. Everything seemed to be operating properly so I got back on the road. I got back up to 65-70mph and then heard a loud bang from the engine and my back tires locked up. I was able to exit the highway safely and called a tow truck. 1. Powertrain, vehicle was repaired 25Mar25. No I do not have any of the old parts. Disposed of by dealership. 2. Easily could have caused an accident. I was very lucky. 3. Dealership confirmed the problem and installed new tech. Adaptive transmission system. 4. We paid cash. As there was no accident or injuries, no police report was necessary. 5. Yellow wrench light appeared on the instrument display, then spedometer went to zero even though I was traveling 65-70mph. Additionally, my main digital display went blank (not the radio/nav display). This was the first time any of these symptoms happened. Although my 2103 is not within the Ford recall window for this identified issue, it is quite clear that this is incredibly similar, if not exactly the same safety problem. We received a letter from Ford some years ago, acknowledging the potential issue, but it said no fix was available at that time. No recall was issued for my 2013 Ford F150 XLT EcoBoost.

My husband and I would like to file a complaint about our truck. Our truck transmission shifts down with NO reason and at random times. We have asked our car lot, (Oak Motors, Indianapolis) shop about this at the time of purchase and we were told it is a sealed unit so there is nothing they could do. We have had this truck over a year and this shifting has become more erratic at any speed and it scares me while driving. Now I hear about the investigation and honestly this truck is a safety risk. It causes GREAT anxiety to drive!! Not to mention the added stress and wear on u joints and the rear differential. This truck has not caused an accident yet but one is bound to happen.

APIMs failed. Will not reset, will not update, will not synch, will not function. Loss of GPS, 911 Assist, and all electronic functions. Other warning and rear view options unavailable. The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear light bar was flickering intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The contact stated that the failure had occurred increasingly, and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that microscopic cracks in the light bar had caused water intrusion, causing the rear light bar to fail. The dealer determined that the rear light bar needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the light bar needed to be replaced prior to performing an unknown recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under Ford Campaign Number: 23S30. The failure mileage was 12,550.

During acceleration the transmission will fail to engage during different gear changes. The motor will high rev as it is a failed transmission shift which, it is just that.
