[XXX] was driving the 2014 F150 on a multi lane state road in the afternoon on a sunny and dry afternoon. The vehicle was traveling straight with steady traffic at an intense rate of speed (approximately 45-50 mph) when it all of a changed gears and became difficult for the [XXX] to control, causing the vehicle to hit a guard rail. There was no contributing factors to the accident other than the vehicle's malfunction (i.e. no negative weather, road signals, other vehicles, animal or plant obstructions, intersections, driver error, etc.). At the time of the impact, all of the vehicle's airbags deployed and the driver's seatbelt locked in place. There were no personal injuries - only property damage to the outside of the vehicle, the airbags and seatbelt. Thus far, Ford has refused to replace the airbags, seatbelt/repair the vehicle's property damage despite repeated requests. Ford only fixed the software problem associate with the recall and has taken the position that is the only remedy they are required to do. The transmission will randomly downshift or drop into neutral while driving which has almost caused a collision multiple times. I can’t cross a lane without worrying if the truck is going to shift into neutral and not accelerate.

At highway speeds speedometer started occasionally dropping to zero while actually going 55-65 mph. Then it became quite frequent AND the truck started spontaneous downshifting causing the rear wheels to break loose and the rear of truck to fishtail. It was terrifying.

- #11655214April 17, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On three separate occasions when I open my door, I get a “brake fault service soon” notification. I’ve done research and forums say this was a recall in the past. I’m aware my truck doesn’t have any current recalls but it has me wondering if it was ever fixed or if the repair was not good enough. I never owned the vehicle when the original recall came out so I’m not too sure what happened.

2012 f150 3. 5L Ecoboost engine. Had the all too well known rattle at start up because of failed to ing components/timing chain stretched. Repair cost me 5k dollars and failed AGAIN after only 4000 miles. Got code for timing being over-retarded. Took to dealer that initially did the job. Were supposed to repair at no cost to me, in my opinion anyway. Then they send me a video and tell me something else with the timing was the issue. When I called back to confirm, the story changed again that they never replaced the current failed part in the first place. All these engines have the same problem spanning numerous years and not my truck is being held hostage because they want another 15,000 from me for a new engine! 20,000 for a remanufactured engine is crazy! Please help owners and investigate this issue with Ford Ecoboost engines!

Hello, I am writing a request to supplement 19N01 on Ford models as I had a near accident that almost happened. First, as I was driving, my mileage odometer was glitching showing dashes "------", also notice that my check engine light came on and as a result the airbag off warning was showing as well. As a result of all this, seems that the vehicle malfunction as my vehicle was in "limp mode" while all of this was happening and when pressing the gas no acceleration was happening (mind you that was all happening in heavy traffic). After moving steadily and avoiding heavy traffic, I parked my vehicle to the side and turn it on and off. This seems to restart the system however my check engine was still on. After further research on this issue, I see that this is a known issue that happens with the model of my vehicle. After calling the dealership with my issue, they state it is a customer program rather than a recall. I beg NHTSA to please supplement this known issue and instead of 10 years, please use the 150K mileage. I cannot be driving with this unsafe issue as it was a scary issue that happen during traffic.

Transmission delay in shifting and or jerking while shifting through gears. Was travelling at highway speeds in 10 gear and my transmission lost power. Could not accelerate at all transmission was non responsive for a couple seconds while showing it was in 1st gear. This happened a couple more times at lower speeds from 7th gear and downshifted automatically to 1st cutting off any power to transmission. I had made a left turn and vehicle stalled from transmission not accelerating at all and hesitated and jerked into 4th gear. Downshifting and upshifting is delayed affecting the driveability of the vehicle. Vehicle only has 63k miles on it no prior transmission issues at all. I took it into Ford dealership and they said heave seen problems like this with this vehicle in the past and right about where my mileage was at too. Ford says I need a new transmission but cannot diagnose what exactly is wrong with the transmission. Their option they gave me was $6700 to open up transmission and replace parts but the price doesn't include parts or a new transmission at $8100. In doing a little research online there appears to be a major concern with Ford/GM over the 10 speed 10r80 transmission I have. I have 3 children and do not trust driving the vehicle as the driveability of vehicle is a safety hazard and believe it's due to Ford knowingly that there are concerns over the transmission and not willing to do anything to fix their engineering issues with the transmission. The highway speed that i explained could have resulted in a crash or worse, someone getting hurt.

My truck was "repaired" for recall 23S30. The light bar gets microcracks that leet water in and short out the lights. The "repair" was to replace the light bar with another light bar that does the exact same thing. It lasted just over a year before it went out. It didn't even last as long as the original that was recalled and replaced

The truck would just shut off while driving or not start whenever you need it to. It acts like a dead battery but the battery is fine. It has been at the dealership for 45 days plus straight for this issue. When it cuts out, we lose all steering all breaking all power. I’m very lucky it hasn’t taken my life or one of my family members lives. There are some innocent person on the road because of The lack of quality and workmanship. In my opinion the truck needs to be recalled because it’s been nothing but a hassle for us.

Sometimes goes into neutral when accelerating. In a couple seconds, will then find a gear. From a dead stop, will sometimes shift to tenth gear, making it seem like the transmission is in neutral. Hard shift from 1st to 3rd.
