I am contacting you regarding my 2025 Ram 1500 with an open safety recall (Manufacturer Recall #03D, NHTSA #26V-059). Case Number [XXX] This recall has been active since February 2, 2026, and my dealer has informed me that parts are still not available. It has now been over a month with no clear timeline for repair. I need clarification on the following: I keep calling the manufacture they told me that the recall parts are not available. appreciate escalation of this matter due to the extended delay. ENGINE, POWER TRAIN, PARKING BRAKE
The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated that on two occasions while driving approximately 60 MPH, the traction control warning light illuminated and the message "Parking Brake Deactivated" was displayed. The contact stated that during the first failure, the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road, turned off, restarted the vehicle, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the residence and then to a dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated. During the second occasion, while driving up a bridge, the vehicle lost automotive power and the vehicle decelerated to 28 MPH. The vehicle then coasted down the bridge, and it was pulled over to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted. The check engine warning light became illuminated. The vehicle was parked for several hours during a class, the vehicle was restarted and reset independently, and the warning light was no longer illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Our alternator is bad in a 2021 Ram. There are 10,000 on back order and up to a 9 -12 month wait list. There is obviously something wrong with this brand and should be recalled.

Not a failure, safety egress concern. 2026 ram 1500, children or passengers sitting in the backseat of the vehicle will be trapped inside the vehicle if there is an accident or medical emergency, where the driver is incapacitated the only way to open the doors is to manually unlock from the front or put the vehicle in park. I have confirmed that my child locks are not engaged on this vehicle. I’m a former flight paramedic and have seen many drivers incapacitated, and if they were in this vehicle, the passengers in the backseat would not be able to get out. This is especially concerning because my kids are not old enough to break the window to get out if there was a fire or the vehicle was being submerged. Please, dear God, look into this. This is a serious concern.

2023 Ram 1500 V6 eTorque, 40,000 miles. Two stalling incidents have occurred under different conditions. Incident 1: While towing approximately 4,000 lbs, the 12V battery began slowly draining while the vehicle was in motion. Battery voltage gradually dropped below 10 volts until the engine shut off completely while driving. No warning lights appeared prior to shutdown. Jump start restored normal operation. Stored fault codes retrieved afterward showed 16 simultaneous voltage fault codes across every major module including ECU, ABS, EPS, DDM, PDM, CSWM, IFC, PTS and SCCM — all logging system voltage below allowable range simultaneously, consistent with a complete charging system failure. PCM also logged a U0401 code indicating implausible data received, consistent with the PCM losing stable voltage. Incident 2: After approximately 45 minutes of low-speed driving (5-10 mph) in a Walmart parking lot, the vehicle stalled without warning on a busy road in [XXX] . My wife and two young children were in car seats in the vehicle at the time. The engine cut off completely in live moving traffic with no warning. I was forced to exit the vehicle and jump start it in the middle of traffic while my children remained strapped in their car seats, creating a serious and dangerous situation. Jump start restored normal operation. On the subsequent highway drive home, battery voltage was observed declining from 14V to 13.2V over the course of the drive, suggesting the charging system is unable to maintain adequate voltage output. This is a known recurring issue with the Ram eTorque mild hybrid system. NHTSA has an open preliminary investigation into eTorque stalling on 2022 Ram 1500 models. The MGU, BPCM and PCM are all covered under the 8-year/80,000-mile Federal Emissions Warranty verified via VIN. PCM software updates have never been performed on this vehicle. SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
While towing a loaded horse trailer, I received a red "trailer brake" warning light on the instrument cluster indicating that the trailer brakes were no longer connected. I confirmed that the trailer brakes were not working by attempting to activate them manually with the trailer brake controller. There was no response from the controller and no brakes on the trailer functioned. Within about 3-4 minutes of the trailer brake issue, I also lost all trailer lights on the trailer. When this happened, I decided to pull over in a safe area and attempt to check the trailer connections. All trailer connections were securely installed, free from any damage, and had functioned flawlessly for days prior. I was forced to continue to my destination without trailer brakes or trailer lights despite being stuck in a substantially strong thunderstorm with heavy rain and low visibility. When I reached my destination, I called my selling dealership to report the issue. I was told by the service advisor that they had "hundreds" of trucks on a wait list and that Ram was only sending them one repair part per week. He also stated that they hadn't recently received any parts and had no idea when more would become available. Their only suggestion was to "call and complain" to corporate, and that there was nothing more they could do. This incident with truck occurred on March 20th 2026. I had already called the dealership on March 6th after discovering (via NHTSA site) that my truck had been flagged for the trailer brake control recall. The dealership gave me the same response previously. "We have hundreds of trucks but no parts, call back in four weeks". At that point, I had not received any official documentation of a trailer brake control module recall from Ram. I did not receive my official letter from Ram until March 21st, the day after my incident.

The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the trailer lights became inoperable. The contact stated that the trailer lights and trailer brake system failed to function properly. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to several dealers; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealers confirmed that parts were not yet available and informed the contact that there was an estimated waiting time of approximately one and a half years for the parts to become available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, the request for a buyback was denied. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 8,700.

This is in regards to well known issue with the E-Torque MGU generator equipped on this vehicle. The internal bearing is failing causing a whining and grinding sound and results in a loss of electrical power that causes the vehicle to stall and not restart when the auto start/stop feature is engaged, which has happened to me once. I have had a dealer confirm this component failure and the vehicle is now unsafe to drive and is parked for an undetermined amount of time because the part is on national backorder per Stellantis.

The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 10 MPH, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was parked, and while inspecting the exterior of the vehicle, the contact became aware that the driver's side rear glass had fractured. The contact stated that the driver’s side rear glass fractured without impact. The vehicle was taken to Safelite Auto Glass. The vehicle was being repaired. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

The major, widely reported, 1.4-million-vehicle Ram recall regarding malfunctioning tailgates that may open while driving primarily affects 2019–2022 model year Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks, not the 2023 model year. The issue stems from misaligned striker plates that can cause the tailgate to unlatch.

The engine light will come on and go off at various times for no apparent reason and the odometer/mileage will start flashing and do so for periods of time, When this occurs certain features become unavailable such as the remote start will not engage. The warranty item/part has been confirmed by dealership and they do not have the part to correct with no expected repair time for this warranty on this item. The car is only 6 months old and gas been at dealership 3 times with no fix

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The dash board showed the (A)auto start stop amd the (P) parking brake after hitting a puddle in rain. I brought the vehicle into the dealership for service on 4/18/2025 . They replaced the right rear caliper and EPB actuator and it temporarily fixed it. The lights still came on but would go off in rainy conditions. They came back on and didn’t go off so I brought it back to the dealership in again on 3/2/2026. First said they would fix the same part now after having my truck for 2 weeks claim it’s not the parking brake actuator but the main wiring harness and refuse to fix it under warranty of their work. I am now told by them they have to replace the entire wiring harness on my expense. Called customer support at ram truck and still haven’t heard back if they would do anything

SMELL OF COOLANT THROUGHOUT THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP WHERE A PRESSURE TEST WAST CONDUCTED. IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A BAD HEATER CORE. APPARENTLY THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR THE RAM TRUCK. THIS WAS AMENDED FROM A EARLIER REPORT. SENT THE WRONG DOCUMENT FROM THE SHOP.
