The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The contact was advised to call the manufacturer for further assistance. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. There is a known issue with the Ram infotainment Uconnect systems. The 2022 Ram 1500 frequently experiences infotainment issues involving its Uconnect 5 system, characterized by loud buzzing or popping noises, "screen bouncing" (glitchy movement or flickering), and spontaneous reboots. These symptoms often result from software bugs, a full memory cache, or, in some cases, hardware defects requiring a complete unit replacement. Some issues tied to this are Loss of Rearview Visibility, The radio software can prevent the backup camera image from displaying on the center screen when you shift into reverse. Driver Distraction from "Ghost Touching" and Loud Noise, Impairment of Integrated Safety Controls: In the 2022 Ram, the infotainment screen is often the only way to access or adjust certain safety-related features. Climate & Defrosting: If the screen is frozen or inoperable, drivers may be unable to activate the windshield defroster or adjust climate controls, which can lead to limited visibility in cold or humid conditions. There has been a recall notice for a similar issue with the camera systems not functioning properly and displaying on the infotainment screen however this is a completely separate issue that thousands are experiencing. The result is usually a replacement of the entire system costing upwards of 3000 dollars post warranty. These issues usually show up after the factory warranty. Mine is at 38,000 miles most are in that area.

ENGINE
The Auto Start-Stop system is not working properly. Three times it has failed to restart when sitting a traffic light. I believe this is safety issue because I could be rear ended if a vehicle is not aware of my vehicle not starting to move with traffic. The Auto Start-Stop can only be manually stopped by turning it off in the vehicle ever time to start to use it. This system needs fixed or there could be an accident on the road.

Description of the Safety Defect: "My 2022 RAM 1500 eTorque experiences sudden and dangerous engine stalling while driving, causing a complete loss of motive power in traffic. This issue has been present since the vehicle had 13,522 miles (October 2022) and persists at 122,000 miles. I have identified severe corrosion and water intrusion on the 48V eTorque battery cable terminals located behind the rear seat. The corrosion is caused by a manufacturing defect in the rear window/3rd brake light seals. Despite multiple service visits (13k miles and 92k miles), dealerships have failed to diagnose or repair this safety-critical electrical failure. This defect is directly related to NHTSA Investigation PE24-018. The vehicle is unsafe to operate as it can shut down unexpectedly at highway

When putting vehicle into reverse the backup camera froze. Low buzzing sound coming from within vehicle from undetermined location. Tried to go to nav, screen locked. Turned vehicle off/on. Screen un-froze. But center stack rebooted. It took a few minutes for center stack screen to work again. TomTom did a long reboot. This has occurred multiple times.

I am writing to formally escalate a serious and ongoing defect involving my Ram 1500. Despite multiple repair attempts at an authorized dealership, the issue has not been resolved. The vehicle repeatedly shuts off unexpectedly, which creates a significant safety risk while driving. I have already taken the vehicle to the dealership three separate times to address this problem, and the defect continues to persist. Because the dealership has been unable to properly repair the vehicle after multiple attempts, I am requesting that this matter be immediately escalated to a regional case manager and a Ram Field Technical Specialist for review. In addition, I would like to formally report a very concerning interaction with your customer care department. When I contacted customer care to seek assistance regarding this issue, the representative I spoke with was extremely rude and unprofessional. During the call, the agent refused to provide her name or identification when I asked, and the call ended with the representative hanging up the phone while I was still trying to address my concerns. This experience was very disappointing and did not reflect the level of customer service I expected. Given the repeated repair attempts and the ongoing safety concern, this situation may qualify under the New York Lemon Law. If the defect cannot be resolved promptly, I will pursue the remedies available under the New York Lemon Law, including a possible vehicle replacement or manufacturer buyback. Please contact me as soon as possible with a case number and the next steps to resolve this matter.

The part on my truck in question is the "OEM Actuator Manifold Runner", or "ISV Actuator", or "Swirl Valve Actuator". I've seen the part called several things online. My mechanic and dealerships I've visited with tell me this part is on major back order and 300+ individuals nationwide are also waiting on the part. I'm told there is no open recall for this part. My truck is currently not safe to drive and the part is unavailable. There needs to be a recall placed on this part that so many people are having the same issue with and cannot obtain the parts needed to repair the issue. This is costing me thousands of dollars worth of rental car fees, and I still have no estimated timeframe on when this part will be available. Again, there should be a recall on this part. Based on what I've read online this part availability issue is not new. If not a recall, this part must be under warranty after the abundance of cases related to this part. How can I get a solution to this issue?

Dashboard leather is delaminating and lifting above the steering wheel. The defect began before my 36,000-mile factory warranty expired. This is a known, widespread manufacturing defect on 2021-2022 Ram 1500 TRX trucks documented in numerous owner forums. Stellantis has replaced dashboards under warranty and goodwill for other owners with the same failure
