SERVICE BRAKES
On 05/03/24; my CVT failed in my 2019 Nissan Sentra. From 05/03-06/07 Manchester City Nissan had my vehicle. As there were issues fixing my CVT that was blamed on paperwork. Upon picking up my vehicle I noticed there was a brake issue. As the brakes don't push back when needing to use them. No lights on. Replaced tires, brakes and rotors. Still an issue. Shop believes it is my ABS that is faulty/failed. If I encounter the need to brake quickly; this can result in a serious collision.

POWER TRAIN
I was driving about 55 mph in the left lane on Hwy 45S bypass and the transmission just stop working in the middle of the intersection causing traffic to have merge right then it would not accelerate in Drive but would go in Reverse. I had to push the car across traffic to side of the road and have it towed. This was the 3rd transmission that had been put in this vehicle. The Nissan manufacturers have admitted to transmissions are defective but would replace mine because it would have been the 4th transmission put in this vehicle.

My front passenger tire rod on my Nissan broke while backing it up out of my driveway in Gillette,Wy. So I contacted the Nissan dealer in Casper,WY and they informed it was on a recall. So I had Quality Auto in Gillette, Wy take it to Vista Nissan in Casper, Wy and they informed me that they could not fix it because Quality Auto welded the tire rod together to get it on to the trailer.

When driving, the car started to stutter when accelerating and while driving any speed below 60 mph, while trying to get the car home it would not accelerate up a hill after I stopped at a light and I was in the middle of the street stuck on a blind spot. My husband had to get out and direct the traffic before they came pst the blind spot and hit me.

The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start immediately, and the contact had to depress the brake pedal several times before the vehicle would start. The contact stated that the start time varied. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the battery was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,000.

On Sept 25 23 I was driving and the engine light came on the car stalled in traffic and would not move when I tried to go forward the car would not move. I called my insurance roadside service they had to tow the car to the dealer. The dealer said the cause of the problem was the transmission they had to replace the automatic CVT transaxle assembly. These cars need to be recalled because I had a 2018 nissan sentra with the same transmission problem.

My 2017 Nissan Sentra S has a very serious problem whenever my RPM reach 3.5 to 4.It starts jerking and I can't accelerate anymore,in one occasion after the jerking stop I couldn't drive no more than 5 miles per hour.i have checked for any visible issues but none. No warning lights come on, I carry a scanner with me OBD2 but it doesn't have any codes. I have gone online to find a solution but I'm coming across hundreds of people with the same issue but no solution.i called the dealer and I was told that since the car is salvaged there is nothing they can do The car still jerking I just to keep it under or at 3rpm but I can never get on the freeway due to this issue

Just had transmission fluid changed, now car is jerking and has no response to acceleration pedal. With car in park and gas pedal pushed down the RPM's don't move. Losing power going up a small incline RPM's drop to 500 and speed drops from 55 to 30mph. No codes from scanning but check engine light is on. Nissan has no idea what is going on.

Our nissan Sentra with 106K miles the car lost nearly all power as my son was turning onto the freeway. He could only drive 16 miles an hour and it was hopping and jumping through a 8 lane freeway/highway intersection while he tried to get into a parking lot off the road. He turned it off, waited 5 minutes, and turned it back on, but it was still slowly hopping and jumping. After another 10 minutes my husband drove it for about 10 minutes and it operated normally. This same behavior happened in 2019 with 82k miles at a large intersection. It suddenly lost power and slowly hopped through the intersection. At 60k the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel quit working. When we asked the Nissan Dealership about it, we were told that was typical and it would slowly lose all the functionality of the steering wheel controls. All the functionality was gone by 70k miles. We have learned that Nissan's transmissions are very problematic and these situations are typical as you get closer to 120k miles. We planned to have this car for several more years. If we sell it and buy a different car we are out several thousand dollars or if we keep it we will likely have to pay for a new transmission also several thousand dollars.

POWER TRAIN
The CVT Transmission Bands unaligned themselves around 75,000 miles. Nissan refuses to replace their defective transmission in my vehicle due to not going to Nissan Service Centers for regular maintenance but instead going to smaller more affordable certified mechanics for my regular maintenance. When I did take it to Nissan in June of 2023 I was told to change my transmission fluid and filter and the issues would be resolved. I went to my private mechanic and had this done and my issues were not resolved. Upon further investigation it was a defective transmission and the extended powertrain warranty had expired by time and mileage. I was told to call Consumer Affairs for Nissan and they refused to provide any assistance due to my inability to afford paying for my regular maintenance to be done through their service centers. The cost of their synthetic oil changes is 80$ more than my reputable mechanic charges me. I am a single mother of two kids, a full time employee, and college student I live paycheck to paycheck as is and need to save money where I am able. I am being punished for not paying their outlandish prices for their sub-par mechanics.
