"I am reporting federal safety recall non-compliance and fraudulent remedy execution by an authorized manufacturer franchise, Bella Nissan of Union City ([XXX]), regarding NHTSA Campaign 26V-080 (Nissan Recall Code R25E2) on my 2023 Nissan Rogue SL FWD.I am the original owner of this vehicle, which has an exceptionally low odometer reading of 12,142 miles. The vehicle is used as primary medical transport for my [XXX] special needs son, who has a severe traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and partial paralysis. On July 1st, 2026, I brought the vehicle to the dealership explicitly to resolve the critical engine bearing seizure and fire-risk recall. The dealership quoted a 3-hour repair window. Instead, the dealer rushed the vehicle through in 43 minutes total (Start: 12:52, End: 13:35) and recorded an impossible 1-mile odometer difference (Mileage In: 12,142, Mileage Out: 12,143). A single-mile drive is physically incapable of heating the engine oil to the high operating temperatures required by Nissan’s official engineering service bulletin to diagnose defective engine bearings. The dealership falsely certified to federal databases that this fire-risk vehicle was legally remedied, cleared the active safety flag on my consumer app, and billed the manufacturer's warranty department for work never performed. They also billed for a multi-point inspection and complimentary detail that were completely falsified, returning the car with an untouched, dirty windshield. The service advisor then actively withheld the paperwork I physically initialed at pickup, forcing me to take an internal 'Pre-Invoice Audit Copy' to conceal the non-compliant metrics.By rubber-stamping this safety recall on paper without executing the mandatory high-temperature diagnostic drive loop, this dealership has left an unverified fire-risk asset on the road, actively endangering a medically fragile family. I am refusing any future repair loops i want a buyback INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)

I am reporting a strong gasoline odor inside my 2021 Nissan Rogue. The smell is noticeable both while driving and after the vehicle has been parked, and it is strong enough to enter the passenger cabin. This condition raises serious safety concerns because the odor may indicate a fuel system leak or another defect that could increase the risk of fire or expose occupants to harmful gasoline fumes. The smell is persistent and has not gone away. I believe this issue presents a significant safety hazard to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. I request that the NHTSA investigate this issue to determine whether it is a widespread defect affecting 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles and whether a safety recall or other corrective action is warranted. Vehicle Information: * Year: 2021 * Make: Nissan * Model: Rogue I am submitting this complaint because I am concerned about the potential risk of fuel leakage, fire, and exposure to gasoline vapors while operating the vehicle.

My 2024 Nissan Rogue 1.5L VC-Turbo FWD experienced a serious engine/powertrain failure while driving. The vehicle showed warning messages/lights, including an oil-related warning, began shaking badly, made a loud knocking noise, lost power, and shut off in the street. The vehicle is no longer safely drivable. A Nissan dealer inspected the vehicle and documented that the engine is “knocking internally” and recommended replacement of the engine assembly and turbo, with possible catalyst replacement. The dealer also recommended CVT valve body and O-ring replacement. The scan showed engine-related codes including P219A, P0506, P0303, and P0017, and transmission-related codes including P0746 and P187E. This failure put my safety and others at risk because the vehicle lost power/shut off while in the roadway and could not be safely driven. The vehicle/component is available for inspection upon request. I am concerned this may be related to the known Nissan Rogue 1.5L VC-Turbo engine failure/oil-temperature/bearing issue, but I was told my VIN is not currently included in the engine recall and that no oil-temperature recall code came up. I am filing this complaint because the vehicle had internal engine knock, loss of power, warning lights/messages, and dealer-confirmed engine failure similar to the condition described in the recall. I request NHTSA review whether vehicles outside the current recall VIN population may also be affected.

All of a sudden, while driving, the car was not picking up speed. I parked and noticed the car was idling very roughly. It was though the car was going to just stop when I did start driving again. The check engine light came on while I was driving in the car would not pick up speed. It was still really a rough idle to the car when I turned corners it was like the car was going to stop and it would not go past 35 mph. I immediately drove into the Nissan dealership near me. A week later after dropping it off, I was told the engine had failed.

The contact owned a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that six months after purchasing the vehicle, the vehicle was vibrating abnormally while driving, accelerating, and the vehicle was hesitating. During an oil change, the contact informed the mechanic about the excessive vibration while driving. The contact was notified of an undisclosed recall, but there was no remedy for the recall. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer, but the mechanics were unable to duplicate the failure. During another failure, the vehicle turned off independently while stopped at a red light. The vehicle restarted after three attempts. The vehicle was driven slowly back to the residence. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer a second time, and an undisclosed pump was replaced. The contact stated that months later, the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle could not be restarted. The check engine warning light was illuminated, and the vehicle started smoking while it was stuck on the roadway. While the vehicle was completely stopped and disabled in the roadway, another vehicle rear-ended it. The air bags did not deploy. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 41,000.

Check Engine light code P2482 EGT Sensor 5 Bank 1. Harness was shredded by the metal brackets that hold the wire in place running from the EGT probe to the plug. The metal brackets allow the wire to rub against it shredding the insulation and causing the wires inside to be destroyed. This has happened twice on the above vehicle. March 2026 and June 2026.

The shifter assembly/electronic transmission control in my 2023 Nissan Rogue failed after alleged liquid intrusion from a foreseeable spill near the cup holder. The shifter is positioned adjacent to cup holders and appears inadequately sealed, creating a risk to the driver and the vehicle that ordinary vehicle use can disable the ability to shift/operate the vehicle.”

Recalls addressed yet engine continued to have ongoing problems. As of today Nissan service said the transmission needs full replacement yet takes zero responsibility for the problem. Car and Engine has continually had problems of cutting out and lagging. Now they are denying this has any correlation to their existing engine problems. This is a major ongoing safety problem due to the fact that when driving the engine stalls and cuts out. There is no consistency of the problem. It just happens. Nissan needs to take responsibility telling an owner to replace a transmission in hopes that this will address an engine problem that has gone on for two years straight is not the answer. They need to understand the dangers of any driving situation where an engine stalls/stops. It’s amazing with this existing problem that nobody has been injured on record yet! This needs to change!

My Nissan rogue is experiencing issues with the throttle body leading it to mal function lights warning see owner manual at 27k miles which also the air mass flow sensor code is coming on P101 at very low mileage. In which those parts are suppose to last for years more mileage I’m concerned for the safety of this vehicle as it’s being very costly and defective and the issues are appearing same symptoms as recalls but the car Vin is not listed this car feels unsafe as it has gone through a few recalls. This car has been inspected by dealership and I was aware of the situation because of them in a diagnostic report.

While driving on the highway, the driver’s side windshield trim detached from the vehicle and became a potential road hazard that could have struck a vehicle traveling behind me. When I brought the vehicle to the dealership for inspection, I was informed that they have seen similar incidents involving this trim piece detaching from multiple vehicles.

I turn on the car with the remote and it doesn't work; then when I try to start the car, it won't start, it gives an error and won't start; it all happens because of using the remote start; they updated the software because they didn't want to replace the engine due to a recall of defective bearings, and now they've made the starting problem worse, claiming it's an injector issue; they scanned it, reset it, and it's working again; so what injector problems does the software say it has??? It only happens when I plug a device into the USB port or when I start the car remotely; I'm frustrated because it's my work vehicle.
