My car suffers from unresolved safety, hazard of intermittent gasoline fumes. The vehicle exhibits a strong intermittent smell of gasoline, fumes outside and inside of the cabin, creating an immediate health and safety risk for anyone inside the vehicle or near the vehicle. I have been dealing with a lot of nausea and headache headaches. Despite multiple repair attempts by authorized dealership technicians to resolve this issue, the defect remains completely unresolved. The gasoline smell continues to return unpredictably. The manufacturer is fully aware of this ongoing safety defect, however, rather than taking the vehicle back or terminating the lease of an unsafe car, the manufacturer offered a monetary settlement to keep and drive the vehicle for the remaining two years of the lease duration. Accept accepting cash compensation does not repair a vehicle or eliminate a known chemical hazard. Driving a car with reoccurring gasoline fumes for the next two years is unacceptable and possesses and ongoing risk to my health and physical safety. My vehicle remained at the service repair shop for 55 days and still remains an active safety hazard.

The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Armada. While the contact’s [XXX] child was secured in a child safety seat in the third-row passenger seat, the power-folding seat unexpectedly started folding over, trapping the child and the car seat inside. The mother quickly rushed to the back of the vehicle and pressed the power seat button to stop the seat from folding. Soon after the seat button was released, the seat resumed folding with the [XXX] still seated in the car seat. The contact held the button down continuously to keep the seat from collapsing. When I was stopped and taking a turn, the car will not fully accelerate and it feels almost as if the car is stuck in first gear and won't shift. It makes a super loud revving noise and won't go over 15-20 mph. When this happens, I can't accelerate quickly enough to turn safely with oncoming traffic even with a very long distance. It has happened twice and both time I've nearly been hit. This is a safety issue and puts me and my children at risk when we are driving. I've had to hurry and find a safe place to pull over both times. When I turn the car off and then on again, it goes back to normal. I've also shifted into park and then to drive and it goes back to normal again. This is a huge problem that puts everyone at risk. If I'm trying to merge onto a highway and it happens, there might not be a safe place to pull over. I have taken the car into the dealership and they said that they can't duplicate the issue so there is nothing that they can do. I don't want to keep driving this car until the issue comes back again. That is irresponsible and not safe.
