On [XXX], I purchased a new 2022 Mercedes Benz Winnebago Adventure Wagon (“RV”) from La Mesa RV located in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to purchase, while doing research online, it came to my attention that there was an NHTSA Safety Recall for this particular year/model that affected wires under the seat and potential Airbag deployment. (NHTSA Part 573 Safety Recall Report #24V-318). Once I learned of the safety recall, I contacted the dealer on September 21 to determine if this particular vehicle was part of the recall and/or if it has been repaired. On September 23, a representative from La Mesa RV contacted me and assured me this specific vehicle was not part of the recall and does not require a repair. After purchasing the RV, I contacted Winnebago directly to inquire about the warranty and any pending recalls, specifically NHTSA #24V-318. The representative from Winnebago confirmed that this specific RV (verified by VIN) was in fact part of the recall and should have been repaired by the dealer prior to sale. On November 6, 2024, I emailed the manager at La Mesa RV to report the misinformation provided by them and requesting immediate remedy. The manager nor any representative from La Mesa RV responded to address this issue. La Mesa RV appeared to ignore the safety recall and sold a new vehicle to me without repairing a known issue. They have not offered any remedy or correction. Dealer contact info: La Mesa RV, 7525 W. McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85035. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Purchased CPO certified Mercedes-Benz 2021 Sprinter Rv Van that was sold to me by Mercedes-Benz of S. Orlando Florida with illegal window and windshield tint and when I complained they stated it’s buyer’s responsibility to pay for removing once it’s sold. It’s a safety hazard as it was extremely difficult to see at night. Police pulled us over for it, but kindly told us to remove it for our safety. The same answer was stated for the significant rust on the roof as buyer had opportunity to view before purchase…..not typical to climb up the roof for seniors. Seems to be a pattern of sales practices that’s deceptive, passing the cost to buyers, rather than to have it corrected before CPO certification.

My front driveshaft is backing out of both the front differential and the transfer case. This could detach, and potentially take out fuel, brake, and electrical lines (poss. incl. Electric Steering). And cause full loss of drive power. MBZ reportedly has an internal TSB but has not issued a recall. The vehicle experiences complete loss of power (dead peddle) in 2 situation. both of which happen completely randomly. 1. From the start at zero miles per hour. In this situation you will start to move and then there is no power no matter how hard you press the peddle. This is very dangerous when turning into traffic. The vehicle has completely stopped running the risk of T bone collision. 2. There is also "dead peddle" while driving on the highway. The problem happens quite often. There have been situations where I have slowed from 60mph down to 20mph forcing me to pull off the road before the vehicle has regained power again.

- #11625256November 14, 2024UNKNOWN OR OTHER, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ACCELERATOR PEDAL
My van has periodic lack of acceleration or dead pedal. There are no warnings that this will occur. This shows itself when trying to advance from a stopped position. When I push the accelerator the van either does not move at all or barely crawls forward. This can last 15-45 seconds. There are no RPMs from the engine. Once the pedal starts to respond, the issue will resolve. The problem is you need to get to that point where the engine can make rated power. Once you put in in drive, and if you're able to idle away from the parking spot, you may find that when you need power to move up a hill or through an intersection, it just isn't there. You can't wait a minute with your foot to the floor when you're in the middle of an intersection. sometimes it will slowly accelerate. This has caused multiple situations where I thought I was going to die due to being out in cross traffic and failing to be able to move. It happens both in reverse and forward. It happens even though I have warmed up the engine for 5 minutes or more. It seems to happen more at altitude but has also happened at sea level. It doesn't seem to matter if the outdoor temperature is warm or cold. The dealer can not detect a problem. I have read many accounts of this happening on MBZ forums. This must be a known issue with MBZ yet they have failed to solve it. Some think it is a sensor initiation issue after a cold soak. Someone is going to die because of this problem if MBZ is not forced to fix it.

- #11624745November 12, 2024VISIBILITY/WIPER, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
We were driving on Rt. 32 north of Canaan Valley State Park in West Virginia. Suddenly the dashboard display began flickering on and off, displaying numerous multiple warning errors and alarms, and the windshield wipers began working and would not shut off. Turn signals would not function. Warning messages included instructions not to shift gears, lane keeping assist and automatic braking disabled, "Steering Malfunction", and many other errors. We have a partial video showing part on the incident. Dealer found evidence of corrosion on the Electronic Ignition System module, and sticking ignition on/off switch, which was indicated as the cause of the problem.

The active distance assist inoperative appears when using the cruise control. This comes on when no traffic in front of the vehicle for 1 hour or less. Also Active Brake Assist functions limited - see operators Manual To reset: follow another vehicle for 5 minutes. This is Very Very Very frustrating and UNSAFE. This function should not automatically shut off. I paid a lot of money to try and figure out the problem. This is VERY UNSAFE for this feature of instantly shut off for no reason and is dangerous. Please fix this with a software update and allow me to download it at my dealer for no charge. Not happy as I use my cruise control on long trips in the USA.

We purchased a 2021 mb sprinter Van, modified up fitted as a RV with 15842 miles from MBSO Orlando on June 26th 2024. In Idaho on the freeway we were pulled over for illegal tint and while we were not ticketed after reviewing the purchase agreement. He warned us to be careful driving especially at night as it was could be very hard to see and it was certified. It harder to see for me as I have some degree of stigmatization with my eye sight as I am [XXX] which is to be expected. After arriving back in Seattle area where we live and found significant rust on the roof of the van and given an estimate for $16500 by certified mb body shop, I emailed the service manager about the rust and illegal tint that was not disclosed, he basically dismissed it…..stating that I had opportunity to view it and it’s buyer responsibility once it’s sold. The failed to respond adequately as to why they certified CPO the 2021 Van, which was misleading to consumers. This is a serious breach of trust for we were expecting a van had passed safety and structural inspection thoroughly by a brand name known for quality and integrity. Now I am faced with additional expenses which we are unable to bear. Please help us as we relied on CPO inspections to avoid unnecessary expenses on our limited income and now we are trapped in a situation we did not expect. Regards, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] PS. The side door will not open. Either the cable part of the mechanism gets stretched or the rubber tensioners need adjustment or the plastic cable hub becomes detached to the point where neither the interior passengers or someone outside can let the passengers out. Videos discussing this issue have over 29,000 views and there are numerous posts on forums looking for answers. Regardless of cause, when passengers can not get out, it is a safety issue.

The Distronic Cruise Control stops working and then will start working again several times on long trips. After research it appears if the radar doesn't detect anything in front of your vehicle for an hour it thinks it is inoperable and and shuts the Distronic Cruise Control off and it cannot be reengaged. If it detect a vehicles in front of you for four minutes or more it will reset the radar and your Distronic Cruise Control can be turned on again. This is dangerous as it requires you to follow closely behind another vehicle for at least four minutes to reset. Out west where I live there are a lot of road stretches' where you will have little to no traffic for over an hour. Mercedes needs to change this software bug and provide another method for it's radar check warning.

Tried to drive over Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado. About halfway up, the vehicle started losing power and eventually lost all power. The engine was running but even with the pedal to the floor it was totally unresponsive. This put us in a dangerous situation as I had to park on the side of the road with huge drop offs and semi trucks. I managed to turn it around to come down the pass coasting. The engine finally became responsive again at lower altitude. The yellow “check engine” icon was on when this started. Managed to come back to Pagosa Springs and shut it down several times and re started. The engine light finally went off.

I noticed there was a reall of the front hub assemblies, however my truck must not be on the list of vins affected. I’m not sure where the problem originated, but I just passed over 20k miles and im experiencing signs and symptoms of what that recall would affect, this started a few weeks ago, not getting any better. It just stars vibrating and shaking pretty violently. like a wheels coming off. My father is also experiencing similar issues in is 2022 king ranch with 40k miles. Both trucks, very low mileage shouldn’t show these sort of symptoms yet. I’m not sure if they go hand and hand but it also disengages advanced track and all the front sensors and what not when it happens. After reading a few articles I do not feel the truck is safe on the road until probably inspected.
