“My 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was subject to NHTSA Recall 23V-100 / Mercedes campaign 2023040008 (tel:2023040008) involving the interior blower fuse circuit and risk of overheating/fire. Mercedes performed the recall remedy by relocating/replacing the blower fuse circuit. Approximately two years later, the relocated fuse connection overheated and burned, damaging the fuse terminal and fuse box. The dealer has confirmed the affected circuit/part is defective and the fuse box now requires replacement. Mercedes has offered only partial goodwill assistance rather than full coverage. I am concerned the recall remedy did not effectively correct the original safety defect and that the vehicle could be at risk of another overheating event or fire.”

The SRS malfunction light was on the dashboard. When I went to the dealership I was told that the wires were damaged under the seats. So I had the dealership do the repair. Then I was told that they had a known problem with the wires actually there was a recall stating the same issue. But since it wasn’t showing up by the vin. Number they refused to do the repairs by a recall so I had to pay for the repairs. I’m confused why the problem is actually what is in the recall why wouldn’t it be fixed regardless if the vin number didn’t show up as being faulty. When it’s the same issue. That they found.

I rented this car from Enterprise, as I was driving on the highway other cars was pointing up the bair conditioner plastic compartment was flapping extremly hard back and forth to the poit it was almost coming off and coud of flew into some one elses winshield causing seruious harm. enterprise is saying i must of hits a bridge or tree absoulutly not. upon pulling ovr nd inspecting the air conditioner cover the bolts to hol the can cover on ws not there and the adhesive had failed to hold the plastic cover down. you can clearly see on the photos that i did not go undet a low bridge or hit anything not one scratch on the roof of the vehicle. Enterprise sent me off in a Van l that had a loose top airconditioner shroud which could have seriously injured me or someone else.

My 2025 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 Cargo AWD High Roof has had a creaking noise from the steering column since new (now ~12,000 miles). Symptoms • Creak starts after driving over bumpy roads, then stays constant on smooth and bumpy pavement • Continues after parking — I can reproduce it by pushing on the steering wheel • Happens cold and fully warmed up • Sounds like it’s coming from the steering column under the dash, near the firewall What’s been tried • Dealer #1: replaced the brake booster — no change • Mercedes-Benz Van Center: replaced rubbing hood hinges — quiet for 65 miles, then the creak returned

The High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) and corresponding fuel delivery pressure regulator/sensors have suffered an internal mechanical failure. The system intermittently fails to maintain commanded rail pressure, leading to critical engine cylinder misfires (P0302, P0304) and severe long-term fuel adaptation breaches (P00C600, P008992, P017184, P218862). This defect is physically causing raw gasoline to leak into the combustion chambers, oil crankcase, and exhaust tract. The vehicle and all compromised components are fully intact and available for immediate inspection upon request. My life and the safety of surrounding motorists were put at risk during a severe incident on the highway. While driving uphill in fast-moving traffic, the high-pressure fuel pump experienced an abrupt mechanical failure/pressure drop. The Engine Control Unit immediately plunged the van into Limp Mode, causing an uncommanded, violent loss of propulsion. The vehicle became entirely unresponsive to the accelerator pedal. Managing a large, heavily loaded commercial vehicle that suddenly dropped speed on a highway incline nearly triggered a catastrophic multi-vehicle rear-end collision. The underlying mechanical defect has been repeatedly ignored by authorized dealerships due to diagnostic negligence. The vehicle has been presented to Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield and another authorized location three separate times. Technicians relied solely on surface-level live data, clearing active trouble codes and releasing the vehicle unrepaired. The problem routinely reproduces itself every 30 to 45 days once the computer's long-term fuel software can no longer mathematically compensate for the physical fuel drop. Independent diagnostic scans have verified the historical and stored fault codes, and physical evidence confirms heavy carbon/fuel fouling on Cylinder #

The ECM harness was wired too close to a sharp metal piece within the engine bay, the clip MBZ uses to secure it was insufficient to hold it back, the thick wiring harness got caught on the metal piece and overtime got cut deeply causing a short with thermal issues spreading to other components, the wiring harness melted together and caused so much heat in the engine bay that other components touching the thick wiring also have visible melt spots, if it wasn't caught because we got a shock from a metall component of the car and therefore realized there must be a short it could've potentially posed a fire risk.

The vehicle was involved in a collision on January 26, 2023. I am not claiming that the computer malfunction caused that collision. After the collision, while I continued operating the vehicle, problems developed with the vehicle’s computer, electronic control system, and instrument cluster. The instrument display could become dark or unavailable, and a CHECK ENGINE warning was present. This prevented reliable access to important information such as vehicle speed, warnings, and operating status. I brought the vehicle to a repair facility expecting a complete inspection and repair. An insurance inspector was expected to inspect and document the vehicle before repairs, but the inspector did not arrive after I waited for the entire day. I was told that the inspector would not be available the following days and would come only when available. Relying on the instructions I received, I left the vehicle at the repair facility. I authorized a complete repair, not an incomplete or partial repair. Nevertheless, the vehicle was only partially repaired, and the computer and instrument-cluster condition remained unresolved. A Mercedes-Benz dealer later documented a CHECK ENGINE condition and that the instrument cluster was showing dark, identified an instrument-cluster malfunction, and recommended further repair or replacement. I objected to taking back and operating a vehicle with an unresolved computer and instrument-display malfunction. I was concerned that losing access to speed, warning messages, or other critical information while driving could endanger me, my passengers, and other road users. I requested that the safety-related problem be fully diagnosed and repaired, but the vehicle was presented for return with the condition unresolved. The vehicle and its repair and diagnostic records should be obtained and examined to determine the cause of the electronic and instrument-cluster malfunction. The computer malfunction began approximately February 9-10, 2023.

This vehicle was subject to NHTSA Recall Number 19V003 involving failure of rear wheel speed sensors. The recall was completed by a dealer in April 2022 at 70,466 miles. At just under 90,000 miles in August 2026 a failure was indicated for the right rear wheel speed sensor. Error code C003A indicated on OBD-II scanner. This failure triggered ABS, ASR/ABS and EPS warning lights for functions including antilock braking, traction control and stability control. This also triggered a check engine light and speed control was disabled. The owners manual indicates a risk of accident. Dealer and MB says there is no additional warranty or action for the wheel speed sensor that repeatedly fails.

This vehicle with 19711 mileage was parked in the driveway. The engine started normally, but a red error message stated, "Service Required Do Not Shift Gears Visit Dealer". I contacted the local dealership and Mercedes Roadside Assistance was not able to reset the software. The driveshaft was disconnected and two tow trucks were needed to pull the vehicle out of the driveway and then tow to the dealership. The technician found "internal electrical fault in ISM causing shifter not to come out of park". The electronic shifting unit was replaced and the vehicle is functioning normally. The switching unit did not have any external damage and there was no evidence of corrosion on the electrical terminal. This vehicle has had all of the recommended service at the dealership. It was previously serviced on Nov. 5, 2025 for recall 2025070011(update controll unit software). There were no transmission error codes. In approximately February 2026, the vehicle had not been started and the battery was dead. I jumped the vehicle to start it and then used a battery charger. No one was injured. Luckily this occured in my driveway. Mercedes assistance was appreciated. However, there was absolutely no indication of a problem prior to this. There is no mechanism to shift into neutral to move the vehicle unless the drive shaft is disconnected. If this were to occur on a busy street, it is possible that many people could have been injured. I am reporting this "near miss" in case there are other similar problems that have been reported. I believe that the unit will be inspected by Mercedes as well.

The door latch and or roller failed which prevents the door from closing properly. Since the door does not close all the way, there is the risk that it opens while driving. This is a recurring issue I have on this vehicle and triggered a lemon-law buyback.

- #11756609August 12, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Adaptive Cruise Control turns off and then won't reset while driving. When the Adaptive Cruise Control turns off and then won't reset while driving. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This causes the vehicle to immediately loose power. When traveling at highway speeds and vehicles are getting ready to pass us, then the cruise stops, we have been nearly rear ended multiple times on our last trip. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? This has been inspected but the service center couldn’t reproduce because it happens after several hours of driving. We had this problem several times while traveling from Denver Colorado to Pittsburg Kansas. If we stopped for fuel or food, and turned the vehicle off it would be fine on restart. If we were driving when it turned off we would have to follow another vehicle at a constant distance for more than 5 minutes to get the system to reset. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. This is also a safety issue because we were having to follow fairly close to a vehicle in front of us to get the system to reset. We also tried turning the system off every hour or so, use the “cancel” button while driving, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. The system continued to randomly turn itself off. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? We took the Sprinter in to a Mercedes-Benz dealer service center and they checked everything and said it was fine. Then we took it back a second time and asked if there was some sort of calibration or computer software update needed. They inspected the vehicle again and informed us everything was up to date. I do not feel that this issue was being taken seriously as it is very nerve racking when it happens and then trying to not get in an accident when traveling

SAFETY DEFECT REPORT & RECALL NON-COMPLIANCE: 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 (VIN: [XXX]) This complaint involves an uncorrected emissions system defect that causes a sudden, dangerous engine shutdown and low-speed countdown limp mode on live roadways, combined with manufacturer recall non-compliance by Mercedes-Benz USA and its authorized franchise dealer, Euro Motorcars Bethesda. The vehicle was brought to an authorized dealership under a mandatory manufacturer recall (Recall Campaign 2025070001 / ECU software update) at 108,575 miles, well within the legally mandated 10-Year / 120,000-Mile Extended Emissions Modification Warranty. Prior to the recall service, the vehicle suffered an abrupt EGR loop breakdown and threw active safety shutdown code P19DE00 (EGR Shut Off / Exhaust Gas Recirculation Limp Mode), placing the vehicle in a hazardous low-speed countdown state. Instead of opening a mandatory Star Support warranty override file to replace the failing physical EGR hardware while the asset was legally under-mileage, the dealership cleared the fault codes to quickly process and bill for the software recall update, pushing the commercial vehicle back onto public roadways with active component restrictions. Because the manufacturer's franchise network failed to properly execute the recall and process the manual hardware extension while under-mileage, the automated database now blocks the required fix based on current elapsed mileage (129,093 miles). The vehicle is locked in an un-driveable limp mode condition in my driveway, completely destroying its utility. Mercedes-Benz USA Corporate Executive Care has actively refused to override the tracking error, violating the terms of the federal modification campaign and leaving an unsafe, defective vehicle in service. Frequently, when I started the car, the instrument cluster's monochrome display will stay blank/black or display completely corrupted garbage - unreadable bit and pieces. I wasn't able to read essential info like level of drive gear and fuel level etc. Often when this happens, the physical speedometer pointers won't settle on accurate current speed level, but keep cycling: from 0 spin to some value and then reset back to 0 and spin to some value ... This makes driving risky as I am not able to see accurate driving speed!
