Noticed Drivers seat back does not move forward to allow back seat egress in the event of a collision. The problem was confirmed by a salesman at the dealership. It has not been inspected by any others. There were no electrical warnings or symptoms only the mechanical failure of the drivers seat back to move forward when trying to gain access to or from the back seat. Only the front passenger seat allows egress from the back seat. This is a safety hazard if the passenger side is blocked in a collision.

My Jeep Wrangler 4xe experiences an intermittent loss of propulsion and acceleration while operating in Electric Mode. Prior to the issue, the vehicle often exhibits surging and inconsistent power delivery. When the issue occurs, the vehicle may hesitate, provide significantly reduced acceleration, or fail to respond appropriately to accelerator pedal input. In some cases, a message appears stating that Electric Mode is unavailable and the gasoline engine starts. In other cases, the vehicle does not transition to Hybrid Mode and provides little or no propulsion from either the electric motor or gasoline engine. Despite pressing the accelerator pedal, including significant throttle input, the vehicle will continue rolling slowly and fail to accelerate as expected. This has occurred multiple times, including while entering roadways, crossing traffic, making left turns across oncoming traffic, and merging with traffic. On several occasions, I was unable to clear traffic as expected and was forced to take evasive action to avoid a potential collision. The condition creates a serious safety concern because the vehicle does not consistently respond when acceleration is needed to safely enter or cross traffic. The issue is intermittent and can occur multiple times during a single drive. It occurs regardless of battery charge level, battery temperature, or operating mode conditions. No warning lights or check engine lights remain illuminated after the event. I have noticed the issue may occur more frequently during rain or adverse weather conditions. My vehicle has been subject to multiple recalls, including recall 68C, but this concern has not been resolved. I am reporting this issue because I believe the intermittent loss of expected propulsion presents a safety risk to vehicle occupants and other motorists.

- #11744183June 15, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,050.

Spitzer Motors performed NHTSA safety recall 68 C on my vehicle. The dealer refuses to provide HV Battery State of Health percentage. Dealer told me to go to Don Nester Autogroup instead. Jeep Wave case number 96929145 was opened. The representative refused to escalate the case and was I advised to contact the dealer. Dealer did not cooperate. Jeep Wave was contacted again and the representative suggested contacting the dealer again and to call back with the case if unresolved. Representative refused to give CSI survey. The case remained unresolved and Jeep wave was contacted again. Case number 96929145 was prematurely closed. I was not notified about the case closure. There was no resolution. A new case was opened, number 97058705 to hide history. Representative advised to take the car to the dealer and pay for proper diagnosis. Representative refused to provide the CSI survey. Sale was 26 days ago and no survey was sent. The survey window closes at the 30 day mark. Dealer appears to not have reported the sale to avoid CSI. This violates NHTSA policy that recall inspections and documentation are free. Stella it’s/Jeep Wave is telling the consumer to pay for recall compliance.

- #11744049June 14, 2026ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
While driving in EV mode my Wrangler 4XE starts to limit power when the battery falls below 50%. The dash display which shows power output clearly starts to limit around 75%, then 50% once the battery hits 40-45% and then even lower as the battery depletes. This makes the car barely powerful enough to hold 50mph and it cannot even climb a hill and hold speed. Then the engine abruptly kicks on in the high 30% battery SOC and EV mode is locked out until you charge it or park, turn it off and let it cool off. This is after the latest battery recall that Jeep performed. They seem to be limiting the battery output at lower SOC to protect the battery but this means I am no longer able to operate the car I purchased in the way it was designed to originally, the way it was marketed, or even safely on a main road with moderate speeds without the engine kicking on. It is also limiting overall power which means I'm not getting the advertised HP and Torque ratings. Jeep needs to do a real fix for the battery issue and not just a software band-aid.

My vehicle is subject to open recall #26V-363 for Electric Hydraulic Power Steering. I contacted my local Jeep dealership to schedule the required free recall repair. The dealership refused to accept my vehicle, stating that Stellantis/Jeep has not yet distributed the remedy procedure or parts to their service department. As a result, the recall cannot be performed at this time through any authorized dealership. This situation creates an ongoing safety risk, as the defective steering system remains unrepaired with no available remedy. Additionally, I am suffering direct economic harm — my vehicle is listed on a peer-to-peer car sharing platform which has restricted my listing due to this open recall, and I am losing rental income daily with no recourse. I am requesting that NHTSA follow up with Stellantis to expedite distribution of the recall remedy to authorized dealerships so that affected vehicle owners can fulfill their obligation to have the repair completed.

Unresolved recalls with no remedy available 6+ months. One is sudden loss of power and a new one just listed as risk of fire. Contacted Jeep costumer service and Stellantis. Neither party offered solutions. Just continue waiting for remedy.

- #11743772June 12, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
This complaint is based on four separate safety recalls affecting my vehicle — Recalls 56C, 68C (NHTSA Campaign No. 25V-741), 21D (NHTSA Campaign No. 26V-363) and 78C (NHTSA Campaign No. 25V-766) — which collectively demonstrate a pattern of serious, unresolved manufacturing defects involving both the high-voltage battery system and the gasoline engine. Stellantis has materially and permanently diminished my vehicle's performance and value through undisclosed recall remedies, left my vehicle subject to dual fire risks with no complete remedy available as none of the recalls actually made any functional repairs but rather reduced the risk to Stellantis, and subjected my engine to a potential catastrophic sand contamination defect for which the recall did not actually repair along with additional wear and tear on the combustion engine beyond the original design specifications of the vehicle. Perhaps no single fact better illustrates the magnitude of what Stellantis has taken from me than this: post-68C, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe — purchased at a significant price premium over standard Wrangler models specifically for its hybrid efficiency — now achieves no better real-world fuel economy in charged or depleted mode than the base 3.6L V6 Wrangler that costs thousands of dollars less. The EPA-rated combined gas-only MPG figures for the 2024 Wrangler lineup are as follows: •3.6L V6 (automatic, four-door): EPA-rated 19 MPG combined (17 city / 23 highway); •3.6L V6 with eTorque (automatic, four-door): EPA-rated 19–20 MPG combined; •2.0L Turbo (four-door): EPA-rated 20–21 MPG combined; •4xe PHEV (charge-depleted, gas only): EPA-rated 20 MPG combined — now further reduced by the 68C software restriction. All of which came at an $8-12K premium due to the PHEV vs. a standard V6 engine.

Multiple recalls on jeep 4xe starting with the hybrid system from charging to the battery. Ultimately not fixable per Stellantis. Now electrical components in steering that present possible fire hazard at anytime. Not to mention the fact that if it can cause a fire, then the steering could fail in some unexpected way while driving, leading/contributing to an accident with serious injury or death. These combined make the car generally unreliable, potentially unsafe, and increase depreciation.

Our Jeep 4Xe underwent the recall for the hybrid battery. The battery was replaced in May 2026, since then the vehicle hesitates to accelerate at speed causing a safety concern. This vehicle has been recalled so many times we have no confidence in the vehicle.

- #11743601June 11, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Unsure of the part or system that failed, however the auxiliary battery and power distribution system part was replaced previously and did not correct the problem. My safety was at risk when the speed and steering were affected. An independent service center worked on it and reproduced it. The car electronic system went through every warning light system while driving. "Stop/start not ready", "engine light", "airbag light", "service electronic stability control", SERV 4WD, ABS, BRAKE, "service airbag system", tire pressure monitoring, seatbelt light, "speed control messaging unavailable service required", and gas light all came on while driving. Speed was reduced and steering wheel locked up and released several times during the event.

COMPONENT/SYSTEM THAT FAILED — AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION: The electrical system failed at the under-hood fuse box / power distribution center (the component sometimes referred to as the TIPM), located near the battery. The vehicle started roughly, shut off within about 3 seconds, would not stay running, and emitted a plastic/electrical burning smell from that area. The vehicle is currently at Oxendale Jeep in Cottonwood, AZ and is available for inspection upon request. A photo of the damage from service advisor Jason Smith and a dealer pre-service inspection document are also available. HOW SAFETY WAS PUT AT RISK: The vehicle would not run and stranded me in an unfamiliar parking lot in Jerome, AZ. The electrical burning smell created a fire risk. A responding firefighter, a police officer, and online guidance all advised not to restart the vehicle due to the danger of fire. REPRODUCED/CONFIRMED BY DEALER: Not fully. Oxendale's pre-service inspection states they could not perform actual diagnostics due to the mechanical damage and burnt components. The dealer documented the damage but has not reproduced or confirmed a root cause. INSPECTED BY MANUFACTURER, POLICE, INSURANCE, OR OTHERS: A local firefighter and a local police officer observed the burning smell at the scene. The jeep dealership service advisor inspected and documented the damage. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or an insurance representative. WARNING LAMPS/MESSAGES/SYMPTOMS BEFORE FAILURE: No prior warning lamps or messages before the incident. Symptoms first appeared at the time of failure on Friday, [XXX]: a rough start, immediate shut-off, and an electrical/plastic burning smell. Dash lights and electrical power stayed on with info on dash don’t remember wording, but the vehicle would not remain running. In reference to Recall 21D / NHTSA 26V363, FCA has directed Jeep Wrangler owners not to park inside or near my home due to a fire risk. My local Jeep dealership and FCA have denied to offer a loaner vehicle, and they have denied my request to cover a rental vehicle. This only leaves me with the option to abandon my primary form of transportation, or drive a known fire hazard. I do not have an open space free of other combustible materials available to park my recalled vehicle, and driving the vehicle would create heat and increase the likeliness of a fire. FCA stated I would need to obtain a "Repair Order" from the dealership before they would consider covering a rental vehicle. However, the dealership stated they are not making appointments or taking vehicles under this recall at this time since there is no repair available. I contacted Sandy Sansing CDJR in Milton, FL on 06/11/2026 at approximately 12:47pm CST to inquire about appointment availability and the possibility of a loaner vehicle. I was directed by the service department to contact FCA directly as they did not have any loaner vehicles available. I contacted FCA the first time on 06/11/2026 at approximately 2:43pm CST. I contacted FCA again on 06/11/2026 at approximately 4:13pm CST to open a Star Case. For the answers to the recommended questions, the components involved are the hydraulic steering system components and nobody's safety has been put at risk at this time. The problem has not been reproduced outside of the events that led to the recall. The vehicle has not been inspected yet as the dealer is not making appointments for this issue at this time. No warning lamps related to this recall have appeared as of the time of writing.
