Ever since 68c recall the vehicle no longer operates as it did. There is not enough power in emergency situations and definitely not safe. Also there is a known issue with the sway bar that rattles and sounds like I am dragging something under the vehicle. This was replaced once but same problem returned again after a few months.

NEW SAFETY INCIDENTS – [XXX] – PREVIOUS COMPLAINT ON FILE I am reporting additional serious safety concerns involving my 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Reserve, purchased new on [XXX]. Since purchasing this vehicle, I have experienced repeated bucking, jerking, rough engine operation, hesitation, loss of power, and stalling. On [XXX], the vehicle completely stalled. On [XXX], it nearly stalled while traveling through a busy intersection with my granddaughter in the vehicle. The vehicle was at Douglas Jeep for approximately 24 days, from September 23 through October 16, 2026. The dealership replaced all eight spark plugs after discovering excessive oil or unburned fuel contamination on the plugs. Despite these repairs, the dangerous drivability problems continue. During a recent test drive, Douglas Jeep General Manager John Grupe personally experienced the vehicle bucking and jerking at low speeds. On [XXX], I experienced additional concerning vehicle movement. After shifting into reverse while backing out of my driveway, the Jeep moved backward at approximately 4–5 mph without my foot pressing the accelerator. When shifting into drive, the vehicle also moved forward without accelerator input, reaching approximately 5 mph and maintaining that speed until I applied the brakes. I recorded video evidence of these incidents. The vehicle continues to buck and jerk severely at low speeds, including while maneuvering, turning, and driving through parking areas. I am particularly concerned about pedestrians, children, and other motorists. Despite multiple repair attempts and approximately 30 days out of service, these problems remain unresolved. I have repeatedly notified Stellantis and the dealership about the continuing safety concerns. I am requesting that NHTSA document these new incidents in connection with my previous safety complaint and evaluate whether these recurring drivability problems represent INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While driving approximately 65-70 mph on a highway, my 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 with approximately 15,000 miles suddenly jerked to the right and a loud knocking/clunking noise was heard from the drivetrain area. Immediately afterward, vehicle performance decreased significantly and the vehicle struggled to accelerate. The sudden loss of power at highway speed created a safety hazard due to surrounding traffic. No warning lights or messages appeared. The condition persists and the vehicle continues to have acceleration problems. This was very unsafe because either myself or other couldve been injured. I called jeep and they told me to drive it in to the Dodge dealership in Andrews TX, I want to emphasizes this is very unsafe, because it wont accelerate as it should. I have to drive down a road that oil tanker semis drive on as well.

On [XXX], while traveling southbound on [XXX] south of Santee, South Carolina, my vehicle lost its passenger-side rear coil spring. I was towing a trailer and initially attributed the vehicle's low rear stance to the trailer’s weight. After arriving in Bluffton and returning the trailer, the rear remained low. I looked underneath the vehicle and discovered the missing spring. On [XXX], AutoNation CDJR Hilton Head confirmed the missing spring and refused to let me drive the vehicle, warning that doing so put me in grave danger. The repair cost exceeded $1,300. A detached rear coil spring presents an evident safety hazard: it can compromise the vehicle's handling and control, and the spring itself can become a dangerous roadway obstacle or projectile, threatening other motorists. I subsequently received a recall notice addressing this issue—the third rear coil spring recall since production of this model year began. Jeep has refused reimbursement because the incident occurred before the recall. Jeep has also refused to acknowledge that the driver-side rear coil spring still requires inspection and any necessary repair under the recall. 2025 Grand Cherokee Laredo Drivers side B pillar is making a creaking sound and popping noise that started now and again and then became more consistent. We have had it at the dealer under warranty currently and they have had the car more than my wife and I. three attempts made and still no permanent fix, though they have replaced the door striker and the manager said welds looked good but still it does not sound right. The passenger B pillar makes no noise at all. Jeep HQ Corporate office under customer service has been contacted twice now. Old case 9749-9837 and new case 9842-0468. I have notified the service manager at the shop and will be contacting them for an appointment for a fourth attempt to get this resolved before filing possible lemon law form.

The vehicle experiences severe drivetrain binding, mechanical clunking, and erratic 4WD electronic timing failure while operating at normal driving speeds. During acceleration (27–28 mph, transitioning from D4 to D5 gear), the automatic 4WD transfer case / front axle disengages abruptly under load, causing an audible mechanical clunk and drive-line shock. During deceleration (31 mph down to 15 mph, downshifting from D6 to D4 gear), the 4WD system forces a re-engagement of the front axle, creating a heavy binding shock and severe mechanical clunk. This uncommanded electronic engagement and disengagement failure creates vehicle hesitation, drivetrain binding, and a potential loss-of-control hazard while driving. The issue is available for inspection and has been documented on video.

[Incident Description & System Failure] On XXX, at approximately 30,340 miles, hybrid propulsion and charging system completely failed while the vehicle was in motion. The vehicle suffered a sudden "Loss of Motive Power" and stalled completely on a public road. The vehicle was towed immediately and is currently inspection upon request. [Safety Risks Experienced] The vehicle suffered a catastrophic power failure and stalled suddenly in the middle of a public road. This created an immediate hazard for a severe rear-end collision. Furthermore, according to the manufacturer's official Safety Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V-741), this specific battery pack poses an unmitigated vehicle fire risk, threatened by both traffic hazards and potential thermal runaway. [Dealer Confirmation & Inspection Status] The defect has been officially reproduced, confirmed, and documented by an authorized dealer. Following the sudden stall, the vehicle was towed to McPeeks CDJR of [XXX] on XXX (Repair Order #XXX). The service advisor and technicians confirmed the failure, noting the active check engine light and red battery light. The vehicle is currently under inspection and storage at the dealership, as the manufacturer's technicians have been unable to remedy this recurring. [Prior Warning Lamps, Messages & Symptoms] At the same time the engine stalled on XXX, the dashboard illuminated a red battery warning light and a check engine light, by a system message: "Service Charging System. The vehicle had a long history of chronic hybrid system symptoms and was previously brought to the dealer for multiple official safety recalls regarding the high-voltage battery (95B in Dec 2024, 73C in XXX, and 68C in XXX). The manufacturer issued a Warranty Extension Letter (Program XU1) for this defective battery pack. Despite all prior software flashes and recall "remedies" performed by the dealer, the system completely failed, proving the defect is incurable. "I am filing this supplemental report to provide critical new technical information regarding a 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Reserve. This vehicle has experienced recurring engine instability, including rough idling, jerking, bucking, and loss of power. Most critically, on September 22, 2026, the vehicle nearly stalled while traveling 25–30 mph through a busy intersection, creating an immediate and severe safety hazard. Following this incident, an extensive investigation by Douglas Jeep, Stellantis STAR technical assistance, and a manufacturer engineer revealed oil contamination inside the engine cylinders and on the spark plugs. This is a recurring issue; the spark plugs were replaced prior to the vehicle's delivery in August 2026 and were replaced again in October 2026. Despite the involvement of a Stellantis engineer, the manufacturer has failed to provide a diagnosis of the root cause of the oil contamination or a permanent repair. The vehicle has spent approximately 30 cumulative days out of service since August 17, 2026. I am reporting this as a systemic mechanical failure that poses a significant risk of sudden power loss during operation."

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 MPH and exiting an expressway, the vehicle stalled while the brake pedal was depressed to decelerate. The contact shifted into Neutral (N), and the engine was restarted to resume driving. Less than 5 miles later, the failure recurred while making a right turn. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failed throttle body and replaced the component. Following the repair, the failure persisted and increased in frequency, occurring while decelerating or coming to a complete stop. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 124,981.

driving down the road at any speed, the jeep will stop on a dime like you applied the full brake and shut off. i this has occurred 4 different time almost causing 2 bad accidents, one involving an unloaded log truck on hwy 130 in nc and the other one on hwy 544 in sc. The other two were while trying to accelerate out onto the rd. All this occurs without any warning. The engine will race quickly up to 35mph making rpm go to 7, the dash will go completely red when pulling off at red lights. I refuse to drive it thru a small town where people cross at, Jeep has been reported back to dealerships for all the same reoccurring problems since 130 miles.. Spark plugs replaced 2, elec parts been replaced , nothing is fixing the problem. MB Jeep is where i purchased the Jeep. Will not hold a speed, it will control speed itself. I took it back Saturday to dealership, bc I refuse to get killed or kill anyone else with all these problems. I was also told that my jeep of the 26 model engine change out was no the only one. All of them are coming back in with major problems.

1).While driving the message shows up: Vehicle is not in park. Then the motor shuts off (at any speed). This happened several times (I was on my way to take my wife to chemo infusions)! This is very dangerous when driving and caused almost an accident on the highway!!! 2), When turning the motor on, the seat moves into the pre-set drivers position, then moves back again and then the motor shots off. The car can't be driven then for a few minutes.

the rear cross traffic warning and blind spot warning DO NOT ALARM if you have an iphone connected to Carplay when you start the car and that iphone is on silent. I would think that a critical safety feature like this would be completely separate from connected devices. I almost backed into a child crossing on a bike because of this failure. I contacted Jeep to let them know of this issue and got a vague email saying Jeep had evaluated the situation and declines to buy my vehicle back (which I never requested, I just want them to fix this safety issue). We have two jeep grand cherokees in our household, a 2023 and a 2021 and both vehicles have the same issue. It fell on deaf ears with Jeep from a concerned consumer, I hope you can address if further.

The airbag warning lamp is illuminated on the dashboard of my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Limited 4WD, 3.6L V6). A Jeep dealer (Lee Dodge, Westbrook, Maine) diagnosed the problem as fault code B0020-13, a driver-side frontal airbag squib circuit fault, and stated that the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners may not deploy in a crash. The dealer quoted $3,442.35 for the repair and denied goodwill coverage. I opened a case with Jeep corporate on October 8, 2026 (case number [XXX], case manager Kenneth) and sent follow-up emails on October 10, 12, and 14, and left multiple voicemails; Jeep corporate has not responded. No crash, fire, injury, or fatality has occurred. This is a report of a safety defect, and the manufacturer has been unresponsive. Approximate vehicle mileage: 42,000. While driving in active traffic at approximately 6 PM, our 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe experienced a catastrophic, sudden loss of propulsion/driving power with no prior warning. The vehicle would not switch to gas, completely died, and refused to restart even in e-Save mode. A dashboard warning appeared: 'plug in vehicle for battery conditioning.' We were stranded in an active lane of travel and nearly rear-ended before securing police assistance (911 call) and a AAA tow. This directly mirrors known safety risks regarding sudden loss of power (Recall 78C / NHTSA 25V766) and high-voltage battery failure.
