The underbody shield is held up partially by plastic nuts that get loose casing the shield to rattle at speed over 60mpg. I read multiple reports from other owners on reddit. Tightening these plastic nuts help ressolve the rattle temporarly, but the nuts are flimsy and keep spinning. You can't really tighten them well. A good remedy from Hyundai would be to replace these flimsy plastic nuts with metal ones that stay tightened and secure the underbody shield in place. Dealer wasn't helpful and wanted to charge $200 just to look at it

The rear seat belt is stuck. The vehicle was only 3 months old when it was noticed. Originally, I thought the constant beeping about the rear seat belts was due to this error, but it is 2 separate issues.

I have experienced the Emergency Braking System Warning and Sudden Application of my Brakes when traveling at highway speeds for what seems to be no apparent reason. I thought it had to be a glitch related to just my car; However, this has happened twice in the past month and it is an unnerving experience. As I just read about this same problem occurring in later models of my car I want to document that this same problem exists in my 2022 Hyundai Tucson.

The lower corner of the driver's side door has an extremely sharp edge that caused a laceration to my lower leg during normal exit from the vehicle. No unusual movement or action was taken — I was simply closing the door after exiting. The sharp edge at the bottom corner of the door made contact with my leg, resulting in a bleeding laceration with surrounding bruising and ecchymosis requiring wound care. The injury occurred despite wearing pants. This is a new 2026 vehicle and this is a recurring issue reported by other Hyundai Tucson and Palisade owners in owner forums. The design of the lower door corner, which wraps under the vehicle body, creates a sharp edge that poses an injury hazard during routine entry and exit. I am filing this complaint to establish a record with NHTSA, as multiple owners have reported similar injuries across Hyundai's SUV lineup. I have photographic documentation of the injury.

I was driving on the freeway no where near an overpass going about 65mph when the front panel on my panaromaic sunroof exploded and glass went everywhere. There is no signs that a rock could have possibly hit it. My safety was at risk because I could have crashed and broken glass rained down on me. There were no warning signs and the vehicle has not been inspected yet, but it will be.

- #11739692May 23, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
About once a month on average my Tucson's emergency system braking comes on without an emergency. It seems to occur mostly when taking an exit on the highway, but a few times it has been completely random. All of these instances have had no other vehicles around or any roadway barriers present. When it activated, lighting comes up on my dash telling me the emergency braking is activating. Sometimes it brakes, other times it does not seem to. Mostly, it seems that if I keep pressing down on the gas pedal it just turns itself off. I've never had my car come to a complete start but I have had it hit the brakes hard a few times. I bought the vehicle brand new and have had it for 4.5 years, and it has always done this. I've had the dealership reinstall the software that controls the braking system, but it had no affect. I ask the dealer every time I go in if others are complaining about this and I am always told no. However, I saw a similar recall was just put into place for the newer years of the Tucson, and it makes me think they are told to tell people no one is complaining about this.

Multiple DTC codes on car at 25,120 miles,32,344, 34,324, 47,484, 51,853, 53,521, Consistent Fuel Injector failing under warranty, prior to 60,000 miles and not replaced correctly, as I have had to see dealership 4 times for ineffective fuel injector replacement and consistent problem. First DTC code reading @ 25,120 miles as stated on DTC coding Reports through Hyundai/Bluelink app. SEVERE Fuel leak into interior cabin and Fuel failure due to Powertrain/Injector Issues from 25,120 miles, and many more mileage as seen above. AUTO start does not work, Catalytic Converter is in need of replacement as codes read DTC code past readings and Engine Failure: P04567A, P030300, P022200,P012300,P210013,P042033,P042033 With FUEL INJECTOR/Powertrain Error. Caused car to engine fail in middle of driving!! *SAFETY CONCERN. I Have started multiple cases with Hyundai Motor America, and they had done nothing to report the problem or keep car for further testing and safety priority. Car is brand new, has about 66,800 miles on it now, had to replace all FUEL INJECTORS, FUEL RAIL, and now needing to replace Catalytic Converter due to Hyundai not covering issue that was consistent with Fuel Injector and initial GAS leak into Cabin. I had to visit the doctor many times due to GAS FUMES. 2025-2026-DTC codes stated under individual mechanic, and within my Hyundai Blue Link app as reading multiple DTC codes that Hyundai Refused to cover or fix initially. (Wrights Car Care, Atlanta, GA) stated that car is not safe to drive and is FIRE HAZARD (Technical Bulletin Alert) for Catalytic Converter is now pending and previously read as powertrain issue.

- #11739615May 22, 2026EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Before I owned this car, I used to get so frustrated whenever I was driving behind this type of vehicle because the rear blinkers are mounted so incredibly low in the bottom bumper that you can't see what the driver is doing. Now that I actually own a Hyundai Tucson, I feel completely responsible for the drivers behind me. Because I know how low my blinkers and reverse lights are, I have to turn them on way before I actually turn, and I'm always worried someone will hit me when I'm in reverse. On top of that, my friends who drive behind me constantly tell me how bad it is and how hard it is to see my signals because of how low they sit.

- #11739419May 21, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Forward collision assist is dangerous. It engages when not necessary and has almost caused several wrecks by slamming on the brakes. There needs to be a way to permanently disable and not have to pick through a series of menus every time. Also, lately I feel like I’m fighting the lane keep assist when I’m on the highway, and it tries to move when not necessary.

My 2026 Hyundai Tucson is experiencing a stuck update loop for the 2nd time since I purchased it new from a Hyundai dealer on February 2, 2026. The first stuck update occurred about Feb 18, 2026. A case was opened with Bluelink and it was taken to the deal for diagnosis on March 26, 2026. The update loop was cleared by the dealer’s service department in mid April. The second stuck update occurred on or about May 14, 2026, when Bluelink sent out their next update. I am filing this complaint because both times this occurred Verizon’s internet WiFi service was terminated because the provider couldn’t authenticate their service token and that this becomes a safety issue due to the fact that the Automatic Crash Notification and the SOS Emergency Call button are both disabled until the dealer flashes the system software and reestablishes a clean network handshake. The first attempt to correct the issue took about 3 weeks. Currently, I are waiting for an appointment to be made with the deal’s serve department so that they can flash the software again and clear the second stuck update loop. In the meantime, the above mentioned safety features are disabled. I fear that this stuck update issue will be never ending and I will be constantly returning to the deal to have the software flashed and the safety features will be disabled until they do so. All that said, you are aware of the reason why this occurs but continue to allow the manufacturer to flash the software and apply a bandaid. I am referencing NHTSA TSB #25-01-024H (Service Campaign 9C1). I would like to encourage NHTSA to reconsider their position on this ongoing network failure as more than a technical service communication issue but, rather, as an emergency safety recall as many Hyundai customers are experiencing this same stuck software update loop and loss of vital safety features.

I am writing regarding a serious vehicle safety issue involving my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited purchased from on [XXX] with approximately 61,000 miles. About one month after purchase, during a drive from Pennsylvania to Florida in October 2025, the vehicle experienced multiple dangerous steering and collision-assist malfunctions in clear highway conditions. The first incident occurred in Virginia while adaptive cruise control and steering assist were active at approximately 70 mph. Within seconds, the steering wheel aggressively turned left and right, causing the vehicle to tip and nearly roll until the driver manually regained control. Later during the same trip, while making a normal lane change with the right turn signal activated, the vehicle falsely detected a collision despite no vehicle being present. The vehicle then veered left toward traffic and unexpectedly slammed on the brakes. Following these incidents, all assist sensors and automated driving features were manually disabled for safety reasons. However, the vehicle has continued intermittently triggering false collision warnings and emergency braking events with no vehicles present, creating additional near-accident situations involving surrounding traffic. I recently had the vehicle inspected by Hyundai after initially believing this may only be a calibration issue. Due to financial and scheduling limitations, I delayed service until this month, but I now understand this issue is far more serious and systemic. Two separate mechanics have advised me the vehicle has major safety-system malfunctions making it unsafe to drive. There are no reported accidents or braking issues on Carfax. I am also concerned this appears to be a widespread issue affecting this vehicle model, yet I received no notification regarding related safety concerns or recalls until conducting my own research. One mechanic stated“I’m surprised this car hasn’t killed you yet. I wouldn’t put my own kids in this vehicle." INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs unrelated to a recall but recall repairs were completed unbeknownst to the contact for NHTSA Campaign Number 25V893000 (Trailer Hitches). The dealer removed the wiring harness which rendered the tow hitch inoperable. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and informed the contact that the removal of the wiring harness was the fix for the recall repair. The contact stated that he purchased the specific XRT model due to the specific feature of the tow hitch and now it is inoperable. The approximate failure mileage was 49200

- #11739244May 21, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The forward collision automatic braking happens randomly and for no reason causing immediate and complete stops in the middle of traffic. It whips the head forward as if a crash had occurred and causes drivers to the rear to have to suddenly brake to avoid collision. Ive had it occur multiple times since purchase with the most recent being this morning in the middle of a roundabout. I know I can disable the system but 1) that's also a safety risk and 2) it turns back on every time I start the car which is unacceptable. Ive asked the dealership about it and was told that it cannot be disabled. I already have the sensitivity turned down as much as possible and it still is happening. This issue makes an otherwise wonderful vehicle almost uunrivaled. When this happens there's no warning before the sudden braking. It also will randomly just slow speed down for no reason and with no way for the driver to stop it. Something needs to be done. Fix the system and make available a way to disable it without it auto turning back on. Im fed up.

3 incidents of same braking component. Once while exiting a parking lot, the car slams breaks so hard while accelerating that car slams to hard stop with no warning. Once while driving through an intersection brakes engaged for no reason. Once after stopping at Red light, then when moving with traffic, car stops so hard with no warning that we were almost rear ended and seat belt left marks and bottom of car seemed to hit the ground. These violent automatic breaking events are scary because for no reason or cause and no warning the car suddenly hard brakes. Fear of being rear ended or car flipping from such sudden and hard breaking. This incident has not been inspected although the car is current on all maintenance and has been recently in to car dealer for oil change.
