The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while his wife was driving approximately 25 MPH, she heard a loud abnormal sound coming from the engine. The vehicle started to shudder while she was depressing on the accelerator pedal. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The driver pulled over and waited for the contact and his brother to arrive at the scene to push the vehicle back to the residence. The contact was concerned that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V727000 (Engine) for which they recently received the recall notification. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

SERVICE BRAKES
In many Instances, I come close to get involved in accident. I cannot apply HARD BRAKING. When the hard braking is applied, I feel my foot is touching the ground and the brake cable is going to break. It is very scary and unsafe.

Rear Passenger door latch does not open from interior and/or from exterior. Just suddenly happened, no minor malfunction neither signal. This is a safety risk because the passenger in danger need to open the door to escape the vehicle.

ENGINE
Buy brand new off lot. Never miss Regular maintenance on engine oil and filters. Car had only 55200 miles. After 500 miles regular oil interval maintenance. Car underbody show no oil leaks anywhere on 12/05/2021 park on driveway. This morning Car not start without oil indicator or engine light warning comes up. Open hood up, check oil dip stick show no oil residue. Yike, where is low oil warning light sensor when no oil in engine. Apparently it not working or never have it on in my opinion. Gotta be recall issue for this. So I ran to Walmart get a quart of sythenic oil recommended and fill it up. Car start up find and drive ok for now. Not sure in future. This is a must recall on No Oil Indicator Sensor Malfunction!!!!!!!!!

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a knocking sound and the vehicle would not accelerate properly. The vehicle then stalled without warning. Additionally, the vehicle was consuming excessive amounts of oil. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer informed the contact that the failure may be related to the engine and suggested taking the vehicle back later for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence, where it remained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 148,000.

ENGINE
Purchased the car in March 2021 with 41,391 miles on it. The day after I picked it up check engine light came on checked the code it was a P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold, contacted dealer they took the car in and replaced the catalytic converter. Now 8 months later & a little less than 15,000 miles the check engine light came on again and guess what code popped up? P0420 now I am not an auto expert but I don't think its right that a catalytic converter would need to be replaced twice in that short time frame. Time to figure out what is causing this considering I am not the only one who has reported this

The contact's husband was able to pull over but could not restart the vehicle. The oil warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer informed the contact that they were backed up with other vehicles and could not diagnose the vehicle until next month. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired and remained at the dealer. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V727000 (Engine) however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

ENGINE
While driving on the freeway in high traffic, my vehicle suddenly shut off. I re-started it and exited the freeway and drove to a mechanic. Mechanic said vehicle was almost completely out of oil , but there was no visible oil leak. He heard a engine knock and after investigating, found the engine was consuming large amounts of oil and caused damage to the engine. There were no warning indications.

When it rains my steering wheel locks up when I drive thru a puddle I have brought my car to used car dealer where I bought it from and they say nothing is wrong but steering wheel locks when driving that to me is major problem they checked belt water is getting somewhere and causing a short hence power steering to lock it only happens when it rains

First the passenger side rear door would not unlock or open; was repaired for a very high amount and I was told it wasn't covered; now the same thing with the driver's side rear door; online forums show this as a very common problem with Hyundai Tucson 2016. This is a safety issue - door cannot be used to exit the vehicle from the inside or outside at the malfunctioning (non-functioning) door.

ENGINE
My engine ceased while driving, leaving me stranded on the road. I had it towed to the nearest Hyundai dealer that was supposed to do any warranty repairs. Prior to this, I was needing to replace the oil, about 1 quart per week. I did my routine service maintenance and they tried replacing a seal or gasket but that did not stop the problem from reoccurring. When the car was brought to the dealer, the oil was low but there still was some oil in the engine. My engine light never came on to warn me about any issues. The car was sluggish and sputter which was when I would check the oil and put more oil in. I know there was a lawsuit which was settled with engine problems for the same make, year and model as mine but I have not received any recall notice for engine problems for my vehicle.

While I was driving my car on the highway I notice my back window was getting foggy and about 5 minute later all my indicators on my dashboard lift up and my car went dead trying to get off the highway ramp and smoke came out of the hood, this was a brand new car, Hyundai Tucson 2020 and only have 23000 miles on it, from when I purchase it, please can you check in to this for me.

Purchased new on 5/30/2018. 3/2021 I noticed shaking, noises, pinging, whining sounds and vibration coming from engine as I turn engine on / off and in drive. 3/24/2021 I brought vehicle for inspection. Service Advisor felt the shaking, vibrations and heard the pinging / noises and whining sounds as I turned the vehicle off. Vehicle went for oil change and inspection, stayed overnight and no fault found, service bay stated they could not reproduce the occurrence. The sensations worsened and I brought vehicle back on 3/30/2021 for inspection as I did not feel safe driving vehicle. 4/02/2021 dealer said the sensations could not be detectable and it was suggested that maybe the Turbo dual clutch engine. 10/15/2021 the air conditioner failed. Brought vehicle in for inspection. Service performed diagnostic testing on vehicle and found internal failure on a/c compressor. New compressor was ordered and replaced. Replacement air conditioner is not as powerful or cold as original part. Vehicle is still making pinging, whining, vibrations. 11/29/2021, engine light came on. I reversed out of a parking spot and it felt different. Put gear in drive and immediately the gas pedal went to half way to floor and the vehicle jerked and then seemed to catch the gear. Then the pedal went to the floor and there was no go, then it kicked in. Repeated multiple times. Tried reverse and there was none. No rpm movement and quickly came a strong burning smell. Had vehicle towed dealer. All vehicle services are current and up to date.

This vehicle is lagging or hesitating when shifting in the lower gears while driving. The vehicle hesitates to accelerate and the RPMs raise to approx. 3000-3500 before shifting into the next gear. This is especially dangerous when turning from an intersection. The vehicle does not malfunction like this every time. There does not seem to be a pattern with when or why the vehicle does this, it is kind of random.
