I had sudden knocking in the engine soon after oil change was done very early (way before it was due)×2 due to the light coming on and I smelled burning oil and the check engine light came on the 2nd time i explained this to the dealership they didnt think it was urgent so they made me an appointment for 2 weeks out so i didnt drive my vehicle those 2 weeks the appointment came i had the vehicle towed there and i now have been without a vehicle 3 weeks so 5 total the warranty company has to send an adjuster (still hasn't come) and there aren't any loaner vehicles for me to use! I now cannot work 1 of my jobs bc it is impossible without a car ! Meanwhile ubering and rentals to and from the other job and school has depleted my savings account !

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The backup alarm sound is unreasonably loud. I understand that it's a Hybrid Vehicle and can be quiet but very few ICE vehicle are as loud as the backup sound on my vehicle. One impact of the loud sound is that I find myself rushing to backup just to be able to get my vehicle out of reverse so that alarm can shut off. This is especially true when I'm in trying to avoid noise. This can be backing into my own driveway if I come home late at night so not to wake the family or neighbors. Neighbors have also complained that the sound is as if a semi truck is backing up. This requirement is insane and makes an EV significantly louder than a regular vehicle which makes more of a regular sound and isn't as annoying as a beeping sound. The loud sound is a safety concern because what I'm doing (rushing in reverse) to avoid the vehicle from making the noise is not a safe practice.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The driver door makes clicking sound but does not unlock with the rest of the car doors using my automated lock/unlock feature on my key. In searching online, this is a huge/broad issue among Hyundai Tucson 2016/17 owners.

Recall Code 966 22-01-028H-1 Think and investigation is needed on these recalls. Apparently the engine can catch fire while the motorist is driving. I'm scheduled to drop my car off on the 9th and was told they may need to keep for 3-5 days. Thes vehicles should not be on the road at all and rental cars should be provided free of charge until the manufacturer works out all the problems

Without warning, my car stalled and came to a stop while I was driving it. No warning lights had come on prior to the incident, but several came on after it stopped. I put the vehicle in park and attempted to restart it, and even though the start button lights indicated the the car was on, the engine would not start again. This is a safety issue because the car just stalled with no warning and I was not able to move it anywhere. If I had been on a highway or making a left turn, my children and I would have been seriously injured or killed. The car has been at the dealership since the incident, almost a week, and they have not yet looked at it or told me what is wrong with it. I have left 3 messages for the general manager and they have not responded.

3 out of the 4 windows do not go down or up with window button. The windows now move down on their own when driving that can cause a distraction if in bad weather like with heavy rain, wind, or sand storm. If I hit a bump in the road the window come down some much distracting my driving ability. I'm having to stop the card and pull up the windows with my hands now which anyone could go to my car now and just slide the windows down with their hand and break in to the suv. This happen just during my warranty but was unable to take it in due to covid restrictions at the time for myself before the time expired on the warranty. This seems like a know issue for the make and model from many in the hyundai tucson community.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
There is a problem with the transmission which doesn't allow us to accelerate fully. It usually happens when the truck is warmed up and very rarely happens when the truck is cold but the problem is that when you take off from a stoplight it does not accelerate like it should it holds back. You normally press down on the gas pedal to go and it just does not want to go and then it finally Clicks in and the truck goes but then it goes right back to not accelerating. If I had to pass cars I don't have the power to do that or if I'm on the highway switching lanes it struggles to keep up speed and climbing Hills on the highway it does not want to go and at times the RPMs go a lot higher than they should when Switching gears! I did read that the prior years to my Tucson did have a transmission recall but the 2017 does not.

Two of the 4 doors no longer open from either the inside or outside. They are not locked and are not damaged in anyway, they just stopped opening. This is a safety hazard as someone could get trapped in my car, or unable to get into the car to avoid danger.

The contact was able to pull over safely. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact said that the vehicle smoke was heavy but the vehicle was not on fire. The contact had the vehicle towed to her residence. The contact attempted to start the vehicle and the engine was not functioning. Neither the instrument panel lights nor the interior lights functioned as needed. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. Vehicle was stolen in day light in Milwaukee area between 5 and 8 pm on 5/13/2022. Was aware of high theft but thought that it was safe do to the time I was there. Milwaukee pd didn't file the case in time and had Mukwonago pd show up at the house to question me about my car. We had 3 high school kids with us and 5 adults to verify the theft.
