Car was hesitating on acceleration from a standstill, less than a mile down the road the transmission disengaged while in drive and coasted to pull over to the side of the road where we had it towed to an auto shop.

Okay guys this is a HUGE problem with not only the civic si but any motor car equipped with a 1.5t engine (accord, Honda, crv) . My car is bone stock and I’m casually accelerating onto highway followed by abrupt misfireing( I believe and completely out of nowhere) and all of a sudden my engine completely explodes! Literally engine parts on the highway and my car has next to now power and I barely was able to pull over to the side without completely smoking out the highway!! My car is bone stock never modified so we get it towed to mechanic and he says headgasket failed, which in turned destroyed the engine?! I do a little research and see 100s of videos of blown up 1.5t Honda cars with blown head gaskets! It’s obviously a huge problem but I guess Honda doesn’t care right? Please please if you don’t think this is gonna happen again to someone you gotta be ignorant ask Honda techs if they’re noticing blown headgaskets they’ll tell you they do sometimes 4-5 headgaskets a week on the Honda 1.5turbo engine. Or YouTube I’m not joking and this is a huge problem!

My car engine light has been on for months and im unable to get a inspection because of my fuel pump recall. My car has stalled multiple times on the road and is a cery serious safety issue. I have contacted honda multiple times about this and they keep saying they do not have the parts its been well over a year since i have received this recall notice and over 6-7 months since my engine light has been on. I have also received a letter from honda saying the parts are in stock and to call to make an appointment but when i do they still claim they do bot have the part in stock

- #11634049January 4, 2025ENGINE, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
March 5th 2020 I finally recorded a message that had been appearing in my dash board during late night drives. Message read as "Adaptive Cruise Control Problem" "Collision Mitigation System Problem" I notified Honda of North Hollywood service department at the time, and they said they could not do anything to fix the problem unless the message was actively displayed on the dash board during the time of service. Unfortunate for me the message would come and go and would not remain on for the service advisor to see. Several times my vehicle would randomly brake abruptly (to a screeching halt) due to a malfunction in detecting cars/objects around me. Luckily I managed to not crash or have other vehicles crash into my car from behind, but it scared me. I've always wondered what the issue was, and was never able to get it resolved because I didn't have proof of the abrupt stops. Fast forward to May 2024 I received a letter in the mail for a recall on the fuel pump module. I think this might have something to also do with not being able to start my car three times within one year... I ended up replacing multiple batteries and cleansing the fuel tank thinking that was the issue and I have been mobile since then. I have contacted Curry Honda in Georgia multiple times to get the recall resolved. 8 months since I received the recall notice, and the issue is still unresolved. Please help. I rely on this vehicle to get to work, and I am still paying on this car. I am concerned of the safety issue.

I’m having a problem with my steering, the steering wheel is sticky and jerky feeling when driving, the wheel more often on highway driving will get stuck to one side causing you to have to yank and jerk it to dislodge it. I checked with a few local mechanics and do not see anything with tie rods or anything and point to the steering rack, I did some research online and saw multiple others having similar issues due to faulty steering rack magnets.

While driving on interstate highway, main dash display went almost completely dark. Could not see speed, warning lights, gas gauge, engine temp, etc. Pulled over to check out problem and "push to start" button would not turn off engine. It did on second try. Dealer diagnosed fault in gauge control module. Must be replaced.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving on a decline of a public garage road and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle stalled. The contact continuously depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond, and the power steering became inoperable. The vehicle rolled at approximately 20-30 MPH and crashed into the wall of the garage. The wall sustained minor damage. There was no warning light illuminated. The emergency units arrived and provided first aid to both the contact and his sister, who was occupying the front passenger's side seat during the incident. The contact's sister sustained chest pain and was in the process of receiving medical assistance. The contact sustained lower back pain and was in the process of receiving medical assistance. No police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000(Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. - #11633970January 3, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The vehicle’s emergency braking system randomly applies the brakes even when the front is not obstructed. Front sensors are kept clear of any debris, dirt, or bugs. I went to Honda of El Cajon in El Cajon, Ca and they could not help me even though the service advisor admitted that another Honda CR-V driver had the same problem the same day. This is a safety concern as my car has applied he brakes while on the freeway and at stop signs at random. Honda has failed to acknowledge the issue.

- #11633692January 2, 2025LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, STEERING
The Power Steering Rack Assembly had to be replaced on my vehicle because the sensors that notify the safety systems of the direction the steering wheel is pointing failed while I was driving my son to school. The result of this failure caused a multiple system failure resulting in an inability to steer the car at speed. The Lane Keep Assist system was actively fighting against my driver input as I was driving, effectively locking the steering wheel in a stationary position. This failure not only put my and my son's life in danger but other drivers on the road as well. This could have very easily caused a severe collision considering the ability to steer a motor vehicle is arguably the most integral part of operating one. The car has decently low mileage for being 7 years old and is well-maintained. This issue occurred suddenly without any prior warning lamps, messages, etc.
