The contact owns a 2024 Honda Civic. The contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (STEERING). The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed an abnormal sound was coming from the front of the vehicle. The contact stated the sound was heard while turning to the right or left. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering gear box needed to be replaced; no repairs were made, but the part was greased. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

Every time I get in the car at some point in my drive, all of my safety features kickoff. Basically my ADAS. I can’t even use cruise control. There’s a huge safety issue because I was on a snowy road and my traction control was not on cause my Civic to lose control. Good thing I recovered it and no accident. I can drive 5 miles down the road or 200 miles, but at some point it will kick on. I have looked this up, and thousands of Honda owners are having this issue. I took my car to the dealership and they did a diagnostic on it and cannot tell me what the issue was. The dealer was Prescott Honda in Arizona. THOUSANDS owners are having this issue.

STEERING
After about twenty minutes of driving the vehicle, the steering wheel will become notchy and sticky feeling, making it hard to perform slight adjustments in the steering while driving in a straight line. This sticky steering feeling causes me to overcorrect in my steering because I am forced to fight the steering wheel. This becomes a larger issue at highway speeds, as this sticky steering issue can make it hard to keep the vehicle in a straight line which poses a safety concern for me and other drivers on the road. My vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. I am open to having my vehicle inspected for this issue. My vehicle has around 54,000 miles.

I believe my car is affected by this recall and although it isn't showing up by my vin number, I am experiencing braking issues that cause the pedal to bounce while braking and it is getting worse by the day. The brake master cylinder may have been improperly fastened to the brake booster assembly during production, resulting in loose or missing tie rod nuts. During application of the brake pedal, the tie rod studs may break, leading to the brake master cylinder separating from the brake booster assembly and a failure to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 135 - Light vehicle brake systems.

Went to my local dealer on January 11 to have my car checked due to a possible knock in my engine or transmission. They checked it but was not able to find a code or the actual cause after changing the oil of transmission and running it. It still continues to have issues They told me “might need to leave your car overnight because their master technician is not here until Monday “ To me I didn’t like much that answer because I spend too much for a no fix or cause. Also they could not provide me a loaner as well which was not a good idea No codes in the system or lights in the dashboard , it started a day before I took it to the shop

STEERING
The contact leased a 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback. The contact stated while driving at approximately 60-70 MPH, the two rear wheels lost traction, and the vehicle started to fishtail. The contact slowed down but while attempting to pull over, the vehicle fishtailed again and started spinning forward before the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a brick barrier on the highway. The air bags deployed upon impact with the brick barrier. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact exited the vehicle and inspected the vehicle and became aware that the axle from one of the wheels had detached. The contact was experiencing pain to the lower back, neck, right shoulder, and a finger on the left hand. The contact had not sought medical treatment for his injuries. A Police report was filed but the information was not available. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was deemed a total loss. The Insurance Company had since retrieved the vehicle and stated that the vehicle was totaled. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering); however, the contact was not notified of the recall. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

SERVICE BRAKES
The ABS module is defective. I was told by the auto repair shop that he has been getting a lot of Honda vehicles that have defective ABS modules and that it should have a recall on this vehicle. This is dangerous for my vehicle to be on the road. The auto place is having a hard time finding a replacement part for my car. If this is happening to many other cars this should be a recall.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I took my car in this morning for a recall. For the fuel pump. It took the dealership very little time to get my car out which was strange for me because originally they told me it would take 4-5 hours. Following the recall I needed gas since I was told to have a little under half a tank. I was on empty following the procedure. While I was pumping gas I had my hand help on the pump. There was not automatic pump enabled. My car keep taking the gas which was weird and then suddenly I saw gas leaking from my fuel point. I stopped the pump instantly. I soon called Honda but there was no pick up for a long time so I began driving a 3 mile trip from my gas station to the dealer. I started with 365 miles of gas remaining. Once I got to the dealer I had 355 miles remaining. Never in the years I have had that car have I seen my car consume so much gas especially on such little trip. Arrived at Honda. They are very nonchalant about the issue and I do not want them to rush the fix and create more damage and a bigger issue

The vehicle then accelerated independently and crashed into a wall where it came to a stop. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags did not deploy. The contact suffered injuries to the left leg and the back on the left side that did not require medical attention. The contact was uncertain if a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was then towed to the residence and no longer driven. The insurance company was contacted and pending results. There has been a recall for the fuel pump of my Year: 2018 Make: Honda Model: Civic Sedan, however I have continuously reached out to various Honda service and was told the part is still unable. Based on the recall information, If the fuel pump module is inoperative, the engine may not start or can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Does it take for an injury or death for me and my loved ones for me to finally get the part repaired at Honda's cost?

I get a random warning that is an issue with the braking system and the Brake light comes on. The lane departure and cruise control is shut off while the vehicle is in motion. There is a sudden and unexpected drop in speed when the cruise control is shut off by the vehicle. The vehicle remains operable without the systems activated the warnings go away after restarting.

while in park, out of the blue, four different types of ADAS lights came on the dashboard all at the same time. (ACC, Collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, & brake system). Cruise control, automatic, high beams, etc. no longer worked. Dashboard said to take the car to the dealership. at the dealership, Honda said there was a malfunction with the radar sensor. They ran the diagnostic test, and after updating the system, the problem was fixed.
