2022 Honda Accord is experiencing a “traction control” light turning on randomly. Following that, multiple indicators turn on which disable the functions of economy, cruise control, and other features. When the traction warning is flashing, the vehicle makes an electrical sound.

Cruise control will apply brakes when lane ahead is clear. This happens multiple times per trip, every trip. Automatic emergency braking way too aggressive. Has nearly caused me to be rear ended twice. I try to remember to disable it every drive. I wish I could permanently disable it.

The vehicle will sometimes brake even though no obstacle is present. This has occurred at highway speeds. The sudden brake event is jarring, and could cause me to be involved in a collision. The vehicle is relatively new, and covered by a factory warranty. I described the problem to the dealer's service department. The service department representative said he would not be able to repair the problem unless he could replicate it. The problem is intermittent, and is unlikely to be replicated. This means that the problem will likely remain unrepaired and dangerous.

Metal part of Rear upper and control arm bushings get rusty, they may come off the main piece and cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident. I have just put 25,000 miles on my Accord. Bought it a year ago.

On 2 separate occasions while driving, I have taken an exit that has 2 left and 2 right turn lanes. While I'm in the middle left turn lane and a car is in the middle right turn lane the radar cone for the emergency braking system will trigger an imminent collision and slam on the brakes even though cars are in completely different lanes and I have nothing in front of me. Both incidents have caused near misses from cars behind me. I'm not sure I even feel safe driving this car anymore, if technology that is supposed to keep me and my passengers safe is this unpredictable to the interpretation of my environment, it will inevitably cause a collision and after viewing articles around news outlets it looks like this has already happened. It seems to be a sensitivity issue with the sensors on the front of the car or that the sonar is too wide. Either way, this needs to be fixed before drivers start getting into more serious collisions rather than small fender benders as there are a lot of crvs and accords with this issue already on the road.

- #11569031January 31, 2024ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I purchased a new 2023 Honda Accord from Woodland Hills Honda on 1/20/24. On 1/23/24, I pull into my garage after driving home from work and turn off the car. I get out to an overwhelming smell of gasoline. I inspect the car for visible leaks, which I don’t see, but the gasoline fumes kept growing and spreading throughout my garage. Concerned for my safety, I call the fire department. They show up and inspect the car and find no visible leaks either but advise that I do not keep the vehicle in the garage overnight due to the growing fumes and to get the car towed to the dealer, as they do not want to turn the ignition on either for risk of fire. I call Honda Roadside Assist and they towed the car to the dealership. The next morning, I get a text message from a Honda service rep at 7:30am initiating the service. After 3 hours of waiting and not getting an update, I text the same number asking what the status of the car is and whether they have identified the cause of the gasoline fumes coming from the hood. The rep texts back saying he will call me. When he calls, the first thing he says is that they identified the issue and that “It’s not a big deal, the car wasn’t going to catch on fire.” No concern for my safety or what I had gone through, but rather a diminishing of the issue. He says it has something to do with a pipe that is supposed to distribute the fuel to the engine and other components, but the pipe is damaged and gasoline was getting backed up in the engine, causing the fumes. I don't know whether the problem has been reproduced/confirmed by the dealer apart from my verbal conversation with the service rep. I have asked for documentation for the diagnosis of the issue, a repair order, and report regarding long-term damage to the car 3 times and the service rep has dodged my questions all 3 times. There were no warning lights/messages prior to the issue and no one else has inspected the vehicle. I am worried they will hand me back an unsafe car

My car makes a weird sound when it gets to a full stop. The dealerships identified the issue but need help fixing it. I and the dealership have contacted Hoda customer service, but they are not willing to fix the problem. This may be a safety threat. I have 3 technician report backing the same and attaching the last one only. No fix done so far.

I was trying to back up and the car would not go. A warning on the dash came on that said collision Mitigation System problem, see your dealer. I put the car in drive and it hesitated like a brake was on. .I couldn't get above 10 miles per hour. It was like I was trying to go forward, but someone was pulling me back at the same time. I took it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong.

At speed limit cruising down I66. I was all alone. No birds in area at all. Open road. I was in middle lanes. Car attempted to come to a complete stop by itself. “Phantom Braking”? All my friends with Honda’s and Acura’s mentioned similar issues. If anyone was behind me, I could have caused a pile up or even worse. It’s happened a few times. Took to Capitol Heights Honda and Landmark Honda. They ran diagnostics. Explained to me there were no error codes. I explained to them, if system has a fault, it thinks it’s operating properly. So, no errors would appear! I have experience and education in computer programming (College), mechanical and electronic (US Army) and over 30 electromechanical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance and other IT experience. SME After they haven’t been able to do anything about it, I turn off all safely systems. I drive a lot. So, I’m also a very good driver. Have almost 65k miles on my vehicle. Date of incident below was when I forgot to turn off sensor. But it happened a few times before and I brought to Honda after first two times. I even had to rent a car at my expense.

There is a major design issue with the two front seats on this vehicle in that they are too low. I am five feet four inches tall and my wife is five feet two inches tall and I can barely see over the driver's side front windscreen having adjusted the seat to it's maximum height. The passenger seat has no adjustable lever as a result my wife can see anything outside in the front of the vehicle. This is a major design and safety issue and it has to be addressed by Honda. I've also been following the Honda Accord forums and many people have the same issue. because of this I'm already planning to sell the vehicle and buy something else instead. I've owned a Honda Accord previously and many other vehicles and this type of issue was never a problem. I've driven over seven hundred vehicles in the past twenty five years and this is the first car that I've encountered this type of issue, in fact the passenger seat is unusable because it's way too low. I'm currently looking at buying two after market seats or alternatively to replace the vehicle. In fact I just bought the vehicle as a Demo with just 5000 miles on it on 12/13/2023. Please help me resolve this matter.

The Infotainment System linked pixel 6 phone freezes. The icons for selecting navigation or other feature freezes. The car has been taken to the dealership twice. Unfortunately, the issue still persists. To resolve, the phone needs to be disconnected and reconnected multiple times for Android Auto icons to work properly. This can cause issues and risk when driving and need to change navigation icons and directions.

Front passenger side seat belt does not lock into place. Nothing is obstructing it, we were told it is not covered under the vehicles warranty and have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. Isn’t this a safety hazard?

My family and I were driving home to LA from NM. I had been using the cruise and steer assist earlier in the drive but had it off after going through a metro area interstate. There was no vehicles within the cars front camera system when while driving 75 mph( that was the sped limit in TX), the cars braking system engaged with a hard break, no “brake” light flash of rapid break pumps as it would do if something was within the camera range. I was able to get in slow lane and within 30 secs it did it again. I was able to drive another hour with no issue but stayed under 65mph. We are 7 hours away from home and will be getting it to the dealership. This could have caused a major wreck.

I was driving approximately 30 miles an hour with my foot on the accelerator when the automatic braking stoped the car dead. The automatic brake message flashed on the dashboard at that time. There were no cars or anything in front of me on the road. I was then rear ended by the car behind me. The car was taken to a collision shop, and there was a scan done on the car. There have been no other inspections of the cars braking system as far as I know. The problem was reported to my insurance company, Geico. The problem was reported to the police officer responding to the scene of the accident and the collision/towing company.

This occurred twice both happened on the highway going 65 mph. I accelerated as usual, suddenly the check engine light began blinking and I lost the ability to accelerate (limp mode). The car instantly dropped to 20 mph. After a minute, the check engine blinking light went away. Both times I was luckily able to get off of the highway going 20 mph. The first occurrence, I turned the car off for 30 minutes. After turning back on, car was fine as if nothing happened. The second occurrence, after calling Honda they recommended towing to dealership, which I did. At my dealership, they drove a lot, but could not duplicate issue. However, there was code DTC P0304 misfire. From the dealer paperwork "cylinder 4 swap spark plugs to known working plug misfire gone recommend replacing all plug random misfire. Removed and replaced all spark plugs." Since this repair two weeks ago, I have not had any issues and the acceleration feels less sluggish than before. This is a VERY serious issue that could result in injury or death if it occurs to others!
