EXTERIOR LIGHTING, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
Tail lights with BLIS crack at the Manufacturing Seam of the light, causing critical safety features to not function. Additionally, water penetrates light and causes electrical shortage. Well known issue amongst truck enthusiasts.

POWER TRAIN
Significant clunking in the transmission, purchased this 2023 brand new. Ford dealer tells me this is normal but it feels like this truck is going to break down at any moment. Disruptive shifting all over this place, very sloppy. I am also getting excessive exhaust smoke from the tailpipe, almost looks like the truck is on fire every morning when I start it up. Smells awful too. Dealer again states all of this is “normal”. Not sure what Ford is compensating dealers with but they are going to have a real issue here soon with upset customers if they keep producing trucks like this.

The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 5 MPH, the instrument panel went black. The speakers made a loud abnormal sound which distracted the driver. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while entering the vehicle, he became aware that the interior lights were not functioning as needed. The contact also stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed at night, the high beam headlights were inoperable, even though the indicator light was illuminated. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality; however, the failure had become a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,000.

POWER TRAIN, ENGINE
This is my second F150 that has had severe vibration through the floorboard, steering wheel and gas pedal. The last one the torque converter and steering failed. Both trucks were brand new. This is a serious safety issue. My foot goes numb after about 15 minutes of driving from the constant vibration. Ford acts as this is normal, but this issue has been well documented in the Ford community. There have thousands of similar reports made to Ford Motor Co.

After braking to enter drive way. The truck accelerated spontaneously causing vehicle to hit a wall. Similarly on previous occasions the truck has lurched forward when releasing the brake after coming to a complete stop at red lights or stop signs.

Max tow package 3/4 floating rear passenger side axle retention bolt twisted until snapped off. Only thing keeping the rear wheel/axle setup on the truck was the brake caliper.... Ford tech said they have so many in for this issue they don't have the parts in stock anymore. There was a recall issued for some 2021 models but this continues to effect 2022s and 2023s.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard an abnormal sound coming from the rear axle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the rear axle assembly bolt had detached. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to Customer Satisfaction Program: 22B34. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 87,700.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the instrument cluster and the infotainment system reset independently, which affected the trailer blind spot setting while towing a trailer. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, and to a second dealer, Kenly Ford, Inc. (500 S Gardner Ave, Kenly, NC 27542), to be diagnosed; however, the dealer could not determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Ford Campaign Number: SSM 50975. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 100.

ENGINE
3.3L V6 F-150 started to heavily vibrate when vehicle was started. Check engine light came on. Check engine code was cylinder 1 misfire. Coils and injectors were changed. It didn't fix the problem. Upon further investigation there was damage to piston. Full Engine replacement is required.

Truck shakes violently at 65mph and higher. Replaced tires, rims, suspension, had the ford dealer check it many times. Took it to a mechanic shop and come to find out the driveshaft is making my truck shake. I have video of the rear end/ driveshaft, and transmission/ transfer case and the dealer said my vin number wasn’t part of the Recall

When in my vehicle, there is a very loud POP and STATIC that is sufficiently loud that it is startling and dangerous. I've experienced this issue 3 times now. I contacted Ford, and their support team just pointed me to my dealer. This issue will eventually cause someone to crash, lose hearing, cause a seizure, etc.. Very dangerous. After experiencing the issue, I began doing online searches and find that this issue has been reported across multiple platforms including news and forums. It appears that the issue exists with the B&O sound system. My dealer claimed they weren't sure what the problem was, but that they could take a look and try to figure it out. I think this is a serious enough issue that the Ford and the dealers should prioritize the repair as this is far more serious than an errant windshield wiper (one of the recalls).

While driving, parked or switching to reverse the stereo will emit a very loud noise. Best described as an electronic explosion that lingers. It doesn't just go BOOM it goes BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM and lasts up to 70 seconds so far. It has even happened when turning the truck off and it persists after everything is off. Ford dealer says "everything is fine" this is a video of it doing it. The contact stated that after all four tires were replaced, the following day while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear driver’s and passenger’s side tires seized without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear axle half-shaft had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired.
