Rear axle failed while driving. Had vehicle towed to Malloy Ford in Winchester, VA. They replaced the failed components, at no cost. When I asked about reimbursement for towing, they were not able to assist me in filing my claim for towing reimbursement. I contacted FORD Customer Service, who said they only way they may help me is if I return the vehicle to Ford Service (must be in their possession) and have Ford Service contact them directly and ask for "reimbursement assistance" by 16 Jan. However, stated there is absolutely no guarantee they will reimburse towing. Are you able to assist me? The towing cost was $185.40

After having the vehicle serviced by authorized dealer the brake system and electrical system displayed the same issues as it had previously. The safety braking system sent warnings and failures 3 times and I returned it to the dealership for further repairs. While driving the ABS senses a failure, along with hill assist, and the front end collision system. All of these systems sent failure warnings and made braking very difficult.

The contact stated while driving 55 MPH on a flat road surface, the vehicle made an abnormal exploding sound, and the contact noticed that the panoramic sunroof rear glass panel had shattered without impact. The dealer informed the contact that the autobody repair department would perform the extensive repair. The vehicle was not repaired. I was pulling out into traffic, I eased out to make the turn, when I pressed the accelerator in order to merge to traffic speed, the truck did nothing. It did not stall, the engine was running, but it would not go. The transmission did not act like it was in gear, it is an automatic. I could have been hit by other cars by having my truck sitting in the road. The problem has occurred twice, but I cannot force the issue. it occurs randomly. I am calling service center today 12/17/24 to have it looked at. Vehicle has had the transmission replaced by manufacturer at a factory authorized dealership. There were no warning lights or any indications that the truck was malfunctioning.

- #11631064December 16, 2024EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
I am constantly receiving error messages that pop up while driving telling me that there is a headlight system malfunction. I have also had adaptive cruise control lane. Keep assist and associated features.Uh pop up as error warnings. My headlights are cornering headlights while driving. They have failed by moving to the downward and inward position and stayed in that position, significantly reducing my visibility. My alarm constantly goes off for no reason. While driving, the speaker system makes a very loud noise. That almost sounds like a gunshot.Hitting the windshield, which is extremely frightening and will cause you to jerk in response. I have taken this back to the dealership five times trying to get this diagnosed, and it still cannot be fixed. I have asked that this be considered a lemon. Due to covid, my diagnostic time was pushed back beyond the one year mark, so I was not able to get the first diagnosis until after mao one year of owning the vehicle.

The rear axle bolts - both - were sheared. Specifically, the bolt head and a portion of the bolt shaft were loose within the small hub cap that covers the axles. I was unaware that either bolt had failed. The failure was discovered on [XXX] when I took the vehicle into a Ford dealership for an oil change tire rotation. I was waiting for the service to be completed. The service advisor, Rocky Garcia, approached me and informed me that one of the rear axle bolts had sheared, and the vehicle was unsafe to drive. At my request he returned with one fairly large bolt head with a shaft that had clearly sheared. He said that this was not the subject of a recall, but that it was covered under warranty. When the vehicle was returned to me on Saturday, December 14, 2024 I learned from the invoice that both rear bolts had failed. The invoice states that both rear "axle shafts" were replaced. The vehicle was manufactured in July or August of 2024 and falls outside of the recall that exists for 2023 Ford F-150 with the Trailer Tow Max Package, Ford reference No. 23S65. A simple internet search reveals Ford has struggled with this same defect for years. The rear axle bolt is a critical component, and it is absurd that in 2023, Ford is struggling with using a bolt of sufficient strength. As I am reminded every time I start the vehicle, the Ford F series was in its 75th year in 2023. One would think that developing an axle bolt of sufficient strength after 75 years would not be hard. I have towed a camper approximately 10 times since the purchase of the vehicle in August 2023. The camper, fully loaded, weighs at most 3,600 lbs. The sheared bolt was retained by Covert Ford in Austin, TX. I felt no change in the handling of the vehicle at any time, there were no warning lamps, etc., and heard no noise.

- #11630413December 12, 2024SUSPENSION, WHEELS, STEERING
I purchased a new 2024 Ford F-150 on August 31, 2024, and just six weeks later, on October 19, 2024, the entire left front suspension failed while I was driving at 50-55 MPH. The truck suddenly and unexpectedly took a hard left and I nearly lost control of the vehicle. It was incredibly difficult to maintain control of the truck as it swerved dangerously, but I managed to guide it to the shoulder and called for a tow to the dealership where I bought it. I discovered the left front tire and rim had detached and the entire front suspension pulled out of the truck. The left front tire was positioned sideways under the truck. My concern is there's potential issues stemming from what appears to be a failure to properly torque the top control arm at the factory that are being covered up. I was told that Ford recalled some Rangers and Broncos after it was discovered the nut on the left upper control arm was either missing or not properly torqued in the plant. To my knowledge there has not been a recall on the F150 models. If the incident had occurred on the interstate or while meeting an oncoming vehicle, I have no doubt there would have been serious injuries or fatalities involved. The were no warning signs or symptoms prior to the incident occurring. The truck remained at the dealership in repair until November 20th.

Ford has an outstanding Technical Service Bulletin (24-2039) that they have not notified me in a timely manner. If they had done so, it was have been replaced by Ford at their expense, either as part of bumper to bumper warranty or as a recall. Instead, the only way to find error is to have Service department run a system wide check. Ford dealer technician also feels its should be part of a recall. It's an expensive repair, $655 to replace the DC/AC inverter. This should be a recall item and notices should go to car owners.

I was stopped at red light intersection my truck went into idle mode (start/stop) when light changed I tried to proceed through the truck engine/electrical transmission locked up. I had to turn the truck completely off and open one of the doors to be able to restart the truck and move through the intersection. it has done this repeatedly I have taken it to Ford they have tried to charge me an astronomical amount to diagnose it.. with no guarantee of it being fixed. I have almost been rear ended 3 times!
