Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit various charging system error messages and/or illuminated charging system indicator displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostics trouble code (DTC) B11DB set within the body control module (BCM). This may be due to coolant contamination into the battery monitor sensor (BMS) and/or in line connector from a leaking transmission fluid heater coolant control valve. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to clean the BMS connector and replace the transmission fluid heater coolant control valve.

SummarySome 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial (feet and miles) units and not being able to change to metric (meters and kilometers) units. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the APIM to the latest software level via a coordinated flash. NOTE: The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this article may have been sent via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled through the center display screen. Enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) in Professional Technician System (PTS) and check the OTA Dashboard under the Connected Vehicle tab for OTA update history. If an update to the APIM has successfully completed recently and the customer is reporting the symptoms are no longer present, this article may not apply.

SummarySome 2021 Bronco vehicles built on or before 01-Sep-2021 equipped with a factory soft top roof may not have the hard top roof prep kit. The prep kit includes the controls, wiring, hoses and module configurations required to have a functional rear wiper, washer and defroster. Without the prep kit installed from the factory, the rear wiper, washer and defroster, will not function. The prep kit can be identified on the window sticker as Soft-Top, Cloth W/Prep Kit under the optional equipment/other heading. This is a normal condition and no repairs/upfitting should be performed. Do not submit a claim for this condition.

SummarySome 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with 4x4 with part time engagement may exhibit a condition of the vehicle being stuck in neutral tow mode. This may be due to a concern with the all-wheel drive (AWD) module. Make sure the proper procedure is being followed to exit neutral tow mode by referring to the Owner's Manual > Towing Your Vehicle > Recreationally Towing Your Vehicle. Make sure the vehicle's battery is fully charged and then diagnose all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the AWD module. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-07A. If diagnostics do not resolve the concern or there are no DTCs present in the AWD module, replace the transfer case and the AWD module. Refer to the appropriate section of the WSM. Once repair is complete, verify the vehicle's ability to successfully enter and exit neutral tow mode by cycling the vehicle in and out of neutral tow mode a minimum of two times, allowing the vehicle to enter sleep mode (key-off for at least 5 minutes) between each cycle. Inform customers that Ford is currently working on a software update to address this condition without a need

SummarySome 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a charging system lamp that illuminates briefly and/or intermittently, and/or diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B11DB:08 in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to a loose fuse terminal for the 3 amp fuse in the battery positive fuse assembly. If this condition is present, compare fuse removal effort between the 3A fuse in the battery positive fuse assembly and like fuses in the under hood fuse box. If removal effort for the 3A fuse is low, replace the battery positive fuse assembly to correct this condition. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 404-01 > Removal and Installation > Low Voltage High Current Fuse. For claiming, use causal part 14526 and M-time.

SummarySome 2017-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmission may exhibit a whine noise at idle and/or while driving. This may be identified as coming from the bellhousing and the front of the transmission fluid pan. The whine noise may become louder when the transmission is at operating temperature and may increase with engine revolutions per minute (RPM) in the park (P) position. A small amount of whine noise is considered to be characteristic of the 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmissions due to the offset gear drivetrain in the front support and has no effect on durability. Use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of OASIS to submit a report if there is a customer concern of whine noise describing operating conditions and noise severity.
