POWER TRAIN
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact noticed minor shaking and unusual sounds coming from the transmission. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed with burned transmission parts. The transmission was rebuilt, and the burned parts were replaced. The contact stated that the dealer declined to sign off on the completion of the repair because of the ongoing failures with the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that the transmission had been flushed and upgraded several days prior to the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was almost involved in a crash due to the failure. In addition, the contact stated that when the failure occurred, the contact's two-year-old child was an occupant in the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced electrical issues several times since the vehicle was purchased two years ago. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.

7-8 mild transmission slips/sticking 3 MAJOR transmission events where the car seized up completely and stopped running. Almost felt like a car crash. Very abrupt stop and almost caused people behind us to rear end us Car is only 21 months old / 17,000 miles. Most recent was in early August. We have not driven car since out of fear.

POWER TRAIN
With 103 miles on odometer, vehicle check engine light illuminated, warning message appeared on DIC regarding reduced acceleration, then vehicle proceed to downshift causing the vehicle to reduce speed dramatically almost causing the vehicle behind to hit my vehicle. Vehicle now does not shift properly and is at over 4500 rpm, while driving at a speed of 55 mph.

Known issue with GM with shift to park, when warranty is up cost hundreds of dollars. When the vehicle doesn’t know if it’s in park could potentially cause risk. Problem since 2018. GM needs to fix this know issue free of charge

The contact stated that the vehicle failed to immediately restart. The contact stated that approximately one hour later the vehicle was restarted and driven to the local dealer. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. When car is parked and shifted to park, an error message appears (SHIFT TO PARK). The SHIFT TO PART error message does not allow vehicle to exit auxiliary feature. The battery will drain if not completely shut off. The vehicle was taken to Dyer Chevrolet in Vero Beach, FL for repair. The dealer replaced shift control and harness to correct issue.

POWER TRAIN
The transmission suddenly failed on this vehicle. I was later informed that it was the clutch piston. Fortunately, the failure occurred at a stop light when I attempted to accelerate from a stop. The vehicle initially did not move as expected. If this had happened when turning into traffic, or merging onto a highway, it could have been dangerous. There was no warning light or indication at first. The service engine light only came on after about two miles. I was able to drive the car but accelerating was very slow. This car was purchased on [XXX]. I am seeing some documents online that indicate GM knew of this problem, and the dealer possibly should not have even sold me this car. As of this date, the car sits at the dealer with no replacement parts available. I took the vehicle to Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, IL. The representative there is who told me it was clutch piston that failed. There was never any warning or indication. This problem occurred suddenly. Transmission I stop at stop sign, when I proceeded to continue to drive the car made a roaring sound and my Chevrolet Traverse 2024 would not go into the second gear. The check engine light came on and has not gone out. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer where I purchased the vehicle, the looked it over and now have to order a transmission overhaul kit. I’m now waiting for further information.

POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
Transmission issue: Dealer was not able to replicate issue due to it only happening periodically. When putting into drive mode and going to accelerate it feels as if the transmission is slipping and give a big jerk. Also will sometime make a loud noise like tranmission is "dropping". Or when foots off gas peddle after going at a steady speed then go to accelerate again it will jerk. Dealership said that is normal as there is a "learning phase" which I've owned several new vehicles n never experienced this before. No warning lights have been shown. Reverse automatic breaking issue: Several occasions while reversing vehicle will slam into park mode when nothing is behind me. Brought to dealer, dealer said to shut off the notification. However, I don't want to have to shut it off. Tech did experience this once while attempting to reverse vehicle. But service advisor said there is no fix for this issue. Very startling to anyone in vehicle when it quickly locks up.

When parking vehicle and putting shifter in park, an audible alarm was dinging and the dash board was flashing shift to park. It was already in park. I did some things and it stopped. Many times I have my 7 grandchildren in the car with me. This has happened more than once and I feel its unsafe to exit my car until I get it to stop. I don’t know whats causing it. My husband said it happen to him too.

On May 14 a service bulletin was released by GM for an issue with the transmission #N242446290 causing a reduced acceleration suddenly and finally zero acceleration after a few minutes unexpectedly. I purchased this car brand new on [XXX] and was not made aware of this potential problem. On [XXX] we took a family vacation road trip from TX to Gatlinburg, TN. The transmission failed and the engine gave zero acceleration the night of [XXX]. I had to have GM roadside tow the vehicle to a Chevy dealer there in Tennessee and then rent a car out of my own pocket to drive home. This is a safety hazard for sure with the vehicles listed on this bulletin as it gives no warning of failure while driving. I was pulling onto the road with traffic when the engine light came on and I lost all power, unable to move out of the way. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
When leaving work last night, a warning appeared saying 'Service Charging System Vehicle May Stall' and shortly after another showed "Battery Saver Active" so I went to my local auto parts store and had the battery replaced for $300. The gentleman also ran a test on the alternator and it came back with a failure on the voltage regulator but all others were good. I drove home hoping drive cycles would clear it out. I drove to work this morning getting the same errors and voltage not going above 12.0, dipping all the way to 11.5. So now, I have to replace the alternator, praying it does not shut off on the highway and I get hit and killed. I have seen numerus incidents online of the exact same issue. I bought this car brand new (my 1st ever) in 2021, I only have 25,000 miles on it, she is garage kept and very well taken care of, this should not be happening on a practically new car. Please do something before more get injured or even killed.
