The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The driver was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart for 40 minutes. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the fuel pump power control module. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 42,000.

7-21-23 Unit stalled 3 times today. The last time was while driving. Check engine light on. 1-29-24 Today I was responding to an emergency backup for an officer that was fighting two subjects. The subjects were fleeing from a stolen vehicle and it was dispatched that these subjects were armed. I never made it to this call because my vehicle #10688 would not accelerate past 23mph and then shut off leaving me stranded in the roadway. While waiting for a tow truck I was able to get the vehicle started again and was able to drive at only 36mph to try to get to the scene and assist the officer. I ultimately was able to make it to the police station. I wrote up the vehicle and left the keys in the training building.

This vehicle is owned by the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department. We are submitting complaints for multiple Tahoe's that have stopped during operation causing extreme danger to our staff and other drivers in the city. The cause is always bad fuel pumps and our units have had to have the pumps replaced in some cases multiple times. 1-26-24 Unit broke down today started after several tries.

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving 35–40 MPH, the vehicle abruptly shut off. The contact continued to pump the brake pedal to alert oncoming traffic. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the Police, and the vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump control drive module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was opened. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the front driver’s side seat belt tensioner cable had failed to operate as needed. Due to the failure, the seat belt warning symbol was displayed on the instrument panel. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V245000 (Seat Belts) which was linked to the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

Bought new and there was a brake pad sensor message immediately that we took it to the dealer several times for and nothing was done other than clearing the code and giving it back. Was in accident 1/24 and it was found that there was a frayed/damaged wire in the break module and break pad sensor that I feel could have led to the accident

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving 30-45 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed at night, the vehicle shut off inadvertently. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The contact stated that he opened the hood and moved the battery cables around, and the vehicle was able to restart. The contact stated that the vehicle would temporarily lose electrical power while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the contact was advised to add a fuel additive in the vehicle. The contact followed the recommendation, and the check engine warning light was no longer illuminated; however, the failure later recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 149,000.

TIRES
Tire is torn in the sidewall at the bead inside the rim edge. The tire had less than 10,000 miles on it and was installed on March 14th 2023, failing around [XXX] (around 9 months of use). It had been installed on a set of Chevrolet wheels before arriving at the dealership and that tire/wheel combo was installed on the Tahoe by Chevrolet in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The tire failure appeared to occur without provocation and failed on a 2.1 mile drive from the store home. The tire on the rim was mostly covered by the edge of the rim and it was very hard to spot visually. There was no damage to the rim, nor any reason the tire might have been lacerated by the rim. Upon dismount for replacement, the damage appears to be a tear or rip and does not appear to be puncture damage. The tire was replaced at Chevrolet and they noted that there was no reason for the damage (and charging us for the failure). The tire was then shipped to Bridgestone and was returned to the Chevrolet dealer and it was explained that they said, "it happens". The only warning lamp that illuminated was the TPMS low pressure warning as the tire quickly deflated. I still have the tire in my possession for inspection. My safety was put at risk because the tear occurred during normal driving and without provocation. Luckily we were in the neighborhood and speed was 25 mph. Had this happened on the interstate, the outcome could have been quite different. This was a Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 275/50R22 111H M+S dated 5022. Thank you! Vehicle reduced power and displayed many errors on the dashboard, including reduced function of forward collision avoidance, reduced acceleration, ESC SES TC. A vibration/rumble was observed (unsure if it was steering assist or propulsion surging), as well as increased engine speed without vehicle acceleration and no engine speed increase while pressing the accelerator. Turns seemed to make the symptoms worse and cycling power on the truck would temporarily clear the faults. Root cause was determined to be TSB 21-NA-149 Cause 3 and diagnosis and repairs took more than a week.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
My issue with the vehicle is that the reverse lights do not project enough and when backing up at night you can not see it or even with the back up camera. It’s poor placement of the light and does not provide adequate light when backing up. I have not had any incidents with it but I feel like it is a huge potential problem

I Keep getting code p2138 car stalls check engine light turns on, stability control flashes. I have to erase code to get it drive again, but will do it again soon. Been doing it for 4+ years now. The worst time it has done it is when I'm in the freeway where I have to pull off to the side if I can, I almost got into a bad accident because of this issue. Took it to my mechanic and he says take it to the dealer. I've replaced gas pedal, throttle body and it still does it.
