I was driving my 2016 silverado high country 1500 with my travel trailer when the brakes stopped working making it extremely difficult to stop at a traffic light. Dashboard says service trailer brake system. I checked fuses and connections and turn truck on and off and issue is unresolved.

The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware that the driver's side seat belt was not functioning properly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the driver's side seat belt assembly had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the parts not being available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 418,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

POWER TRAIN
The transmission lost every gear but 1st, 2nd. I was driving it down the highway when it lost the gear putting myself, other motor vehicles, and pedestrians safety at risk. The transmissions are known to by others and gm to lose gears or blow and no recall has been issued to rectify the issues. the vehicle was scanned by a trusted local auto motive shop. there were no warning lamps messages or other symptoms prior to the failure. It was going down the road then slipped/sputtered, dropping in to second gear then the checking engine light came on.

Main frame rails have rusted completely through on both sides. Inside by fuel tank. Many other GM owners have reported this issue online. Truck only has 136k and will not pass inspection. Known defect for the factory undercoating was dealer fixed three times prior to the 6 year warranty being expired. It was noted and fixed on the date of purchase in 2013.

POWER TRAIN, STEERING, SERVICE BRAKES
Was driving and the engine died, lost power steering, lost gauges (No speedometer, No Tachometer, Gauges quite working at all) and lost power brakes. Had to try and pull over and was not able to stop or steer easily. I almost hit several other cars and a guardrail trying to stop and steer to emergency lane. After I got stopped, I was not able to restart my vehicle, the starter just kept running but the engine would not start and gauges didn't work. I had my vehicle towed home and started trying to figure out what happened. Put my code reader on the truck and it showed 12 different codes including ECM/BCM failure. I started checking fuses and relays but everything was good. Finally found the problem at the ECM. There was a wiring harness that was not secured and was rubbing against the frame of the truck. One little yellow wire had rubbed through and shorted out which killed the whole truck. It looks like the manufacturer didn't secure the wiring harness in several spots which allowed the wiring harness to rub on the frame and the mount that holds the ECM. The mount for the ECM has started to rub through a different wiring harness and had started rubbing through wires in that harness but I caught it in time.

The vehicle mileage is 1,886. The vehicle steering command left or right turns had beautiful chime sound. The dealership could not find the signal chime commands. They claim that this vehicle doesn't have chime when turning right or left. This high-end truck has a lot features that dealership don't know about. This vehicle mileage is very good on the highway 22.4 miles per gallon.

Multiple times at varying speeds my 2021 Silverado has produced engine misfire codes. I have never been able to get to it quick enough to see what cylinders are misfiring so it always gives me a general P0300 code. The following first two times it was confirmed by Widrick truck and diesel in Carthage, NY. The last time it happened, the code disappeared before I would take it to the Chevy dealership. Widrick said they can’t fix the problem because they don’t know what it is, and Chevrolet denies there is a problem at all. The truck still has less than 50k miles on it

I took my car to the dealership four times because the engine light and the ESC light kept coming on. It kept saying there was a misfire so they changed the spark plugs and did a gas treatment after I left the dealership the light came back on so I returned the next day. They change one wire that’s what they told me. The problem was so I left engine light came back on. I returned the next day then they changed the wires I left the facility again. The next day I got them started the car, the same problem, engine light, and the ESC light and now they have the car in the shop and they need to break the engine down to see what’s causing the misfire and to find out if I need a new engine or not. Who is all that shit right now?

THE VEHCILE ONLY HAS 1779 MILES. THE AC UNIT OPERATED FOR SHORT PERIOD TIME. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERTURE WAS 95 DEGREE FAHRENHEIT ALL THE CONTROLS WERE NOT INOPERATE. THE A/C COMPRESSOR PUMP WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. THE ONLY ITEMS WORKING WAS THE FAN MOTOR BLOWING HOT AIR. I RESTATED THE VEHICLE AND STILL NO COLD AIR OUTPUT. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS WITH A/C UNIT. THE UNIT OPERATED NORMALY AND THE TEMPERTUER IS 35 DEGREES OUTPUT. THE SECOND PROBLEM THE DASH PANEL EMERGENCY LIGHT CABLE WAS NEVER INSTALLED. THE DEALER HAD TO ORDER THE PART.

Airbag light came on indicating an issue. Went to dealer and the codes that came up are B0030 (Passenger Instrument Panel Air Bag Deployment Loop Stage 2 Short to Ground) and B0413 (Temperature Control 1 Feed back Circuit Actuator Stuck). It cost $597.67 to have a new airbag installed. I worry others couldn't afford this and it should be covered by the mfg due to the safety risk created from the vendor creating airbags that do not last the life of the vehicle.

Tail gate is opening on its own. We checked the recall list and although our year, make and model is listed, the vin# doesn't show a recall. Clearly, there are more vehicles affected than GMC has included. This is a very serious safety issue and we thought you should be aware that perhaps the recall on the tailgates involve more vehicles than they've included.
