EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Just bought this vehicle and it is undrivable at night due to the dim low beam headlights. This seams to be a problem with these vehicles from 2010 to 2016. I called GM customer service and was given a number for GM analytics (1-888-305-1605), the recording states that the time to be reimbursed has passed and that they are no longer taking any further claim submissions. GM has settled class action lawsuits in Florida and California for this issue and sent letters to some SRX owners offering reimbursement for repairs.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
I had a headlight go out so I purchased new bulbs had both of them installed, low beams … and I still can’t see in the dark even after having my outside lamps detailed and cleaned. I have to drive with my high beams on in the dark. This needs to be a recall , something is not right with the lights on this vehicle. So Now I just try not to drive at night which is hard with the time.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The headlights failed to provide enough light to see the road at night. This, of course, is dangerous when driving on the highway or country roads as we are unable to maintain the speed required on the highway in order to safely navigate the turns in the road, which could also cause a disruption in the traffic flow, possibly causing an accident if other cars were not expecting a slower vehicle on the road. Not to mention not being able to see any wildlife in the road in enough time to react. The problem, to my knowledge, has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center prior to our purchase of the vehicle. We have discussed the issue with the dealer but the service manager is unable to comment on the matter or any type of solution. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were not any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. It first appeared the first night time drive after purchasing the vehicle, used, in 2021. We had discussions with the Dealer's service department and they would not speak to any "known" issue. We performed an on-line research that showed that there was a problem with the lighting system and GM decided to not issue a recall. I believe for a short time there was compensation provided for those that complained, but that time is long gone. These cars are still on the market and without a resolution to fix this issue there can be an accident or even death in an accident.

The contact's wife owns a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving at various speeds at night, the low beam headlights were significantly dimmed, which affected the visibility of the roadway. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000. The VIN was unavailable.

SUSPENSION
The contact owns a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension), and the vehicle was taken in for repair. The contact stated that upon leaving the dealer and driving at an undisclosed speed, an unknown malfunction indicator light was illuminated and a "Service Rear Axle" message was displayed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number 21V473000 (Suspension), which had previously been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,500.

SUSPENSION
The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH during a rainstorm, the tires started slipping and the contact had difficulty controlling the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that excessive toe had caused abnormal wear on the rear tires but that the toe link could not be adjusted to the normal target. The contact was advised that the rear toe link adjuster would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000.

Unbeknownst to me, the 2010-2015 Cadillac SRX is prone to moisture in the headlights. We just bought a used 2015, and as night came, we went for our first evening drive, and the low beams are extremely dangerously dim. It looks like they weren’t even on. Searching the internet on how to fix the problem, I came across what seems to be a ridiculous amount of unsatisfied customers with the same problem and Cadillac refusing to help or recall with a different replacement, since replacing with the same damaged part, just happens again with the moisture problem. There’s even been a lawsuit, which was thrown out by the judge. If a driver has a blown bulb anywhere in their car, they are given a warning to replace or a ticket if they don’t. How do we replace something that’s going to fail again, because of a defective manufacturer part? Doesn’t seem fair, and I for one will be driving with my high beams, so that I can see at night, after spending my hard earned money on what i think is a great and reliable car made by a company like Cadillac. Very disappointing to read all the neglected customers just trying to have a defective part be recalled and made right by such a huge company. There was also a reimbursement program that people struggled with getting reimbursed if it wasn’t done exactly how they stated. This need your attention please. Cadillac/GM needs to recall all srx headlights and replace with newer and non defective ones before someone gets killed because of the dangers of extremely low dimming and defective lighting SAFETY FIRST

I’ve called a Cadillac dealership twice to get info about a repair…they said they would call back but have not and it’s been at least 4 months since I contacted them.

HEADLAMPS ARE DEFECTIVE VERY DIM AND CAN NOT DRIVE VEHICLE AT NIGHT. DEALER CONFIRMED WIDESPREAD ISSUE THAT CADILLAC HAS FAILED TO RESOLVE. DEALER STATED SOME LETTERS were SENT TO LIMITED OWNERS AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPLACEMENT. BUT NOT TO ALL OWNERS. SAFETY HAZARD WHEN DRIVING DURING RAIN OR EVENINGS.

The cue screen will not work to raise up the screen to view there is no backup camera to view because of screen not popping up and or no sensors warnings working causing animals and, people or objects not to be seen when backing up. Also back lift gate will no close to latch down and lock, causing liftgate to open while operating the vehicle on open road

I NEVER GOT A RECALL ON THE LIGHT REPAIR. HAS MOISTURE IN HEADLIGHT. YOU CAN NOT SEE AT NIGHT. LIGHTS ARE VERY LOW LIGHTING. IT IS A SAFETY RISK. GOING TO CHURCH AT NIGHT IS IMPOSSIBLE. YOU CANNOT SEE OUT AHEAD. TRYING TO WATCH FOR DEER. I GOT ONE LIGHT FIXED FEW YEARS AGO. I CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER. IS THERE A RECALL. THE PICTURE LOADED IS WHAT LIGHT LOOKS LIKE ON DRIVERS SIDE. Headlights I been calling GM for years that you can’t drive with the low beam headlights at night it’s like having no headlights on . They say nothing no safety recall and I have read up on this issue and they say the halogen bulb gets so hot it burn the inside of headlight assembly and I would think this would be a safety recall . Since I bought the car the brake pedal is really hard to push so that I can brake the car. I took it to the dealer and they told me if the car is braking I should not be worried but I know that’s not the way the brakes should work.

The brake light, the ABS light and the stability control light came in my vehicle and GM says that the EBCM needs to be replaced this should be a recall because a lot of cars are having this issue and they don’t have the parts available, is been more than a year I’m driving like that.
