My car broke down on me in August of 2023 with a rod that connects to the engine being the issue. Now here we are 7 months later and I still am paying for a car that does not run. They won't inspect it to figure out if it's covered under the recall because there is no remedy for the recall. At this point, I have had to buy other cars while still paying on this one with no timeline of when to expect a fix.

The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

My engine shuts off while idling, shifts into neutral automatically, and stalls when sitting at a light. This is a huge safety concern for me. My fuel pressure light and battery comes on when it shuts off.

While I was driving on the highway I heard a loud pop over head and when I open my roof shade I saw the my sunroof was shattered. Then glasses started flying everywhere. The shattered pieces of sunroof glasses put me at risk and other motor vehicles on the road. I looked up online and found out that this is an ongoing issue with Acura/Honda sunroof exploding. Acura hasn't made a recall yet.

The contact owned a 2019 Acura TLX. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the contact was hearing an abnormal ticking noise. The contact stated the check engine warning was illuminated and the fuel gauge showed a decrease in fuel level. The contact stated she observed that black smoke was emitted from under the hood and the rear of the vehicle. The contact pulled off of the highway. The contact stated that the vehicle was vibrating as she pulled over, she stopped the vehicle and exited due to smoke entering the passenger cabin. The contact stated that she had researched online and related the failure and subsequent fire to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). there has been a recall out for my vehicle since november 9th or so and i took my car in around the 19th of november because my car started making a loud knocking noise and i initially knew that it was from the recall and so i took it in on the 20th to have it inspected and so when i took it to get inspected and diagnosed to see what was going on.. acura carland told me it from my rod bearing but there was no fix available at the time and so the noise was terrible and i asked if it’s ok to drive on and the service manager hector hernandez told me it was fine just keep up with the old change and see what happens in january which i didn’t agree with and so a month goes by and im heading home from work my car keep making the knocking noise and it getting worse than ever and my vehicle is stalling on the road and i was just praying that it doesn’t blow on me or catch fire and so as soon as i am turning off the exit to pull over and get home my engine completely seized and left my car in neutral and start rolling with no engine response. my engine completely blew and wouldn’t crank and it finally stopped rolling. i had gotten it towed home and reached out to the manufacturer and dealer to see what happens now and so i was told to have it towed to the dealer to get a engine diagnosis done so my case could get started and once i got that done. i was referred that my engine needs to be replaced due to the rod bearing creating metal shavings to enter my engine and damaging it. once i sent over the documentation and photos to the manufacturer i was still told there’s nothing to be done till january forcing me to be without a vehicle for 2 1/2 months with no loaner or anything. i been fighting for a resolution and nobody has done anything but point fingers at the dealer and manufacturer when i just needed a resolution for the time being to get me through till there is a permanent solution and has me left stressed and forced to rely on public transportation in various condition

I took my car to an Acura dealer because there was a noticeable increase in engine noise upon starting and at lower engine rpms. The dealer identified that the problem was related to a recall - NHTSA # 23v-751. He also informed me that it may be 3-4 months before Acura is ready ro rectify this problem. The problem has serious consequences and I would like Acura to rectify it much sooner.

My families safety has been put at risk due to the lack of response from Acura/Honda regarding a recall that may cause the engine in our car to seize up due to a manufacturing defect. I have gotten no response from the Acura dealer other than to say that I can pay for the inspection and be reimbursed if there is a problem. But if there is no problem, I will be out the cost of it. I paid 40,000.00 for a car that has 7500 miles on it and I am afraid to let my wife or son drive it. If I don't get some sort of response soon, I will just file a lemon law claim as the car is useless until it's inspected, and no, i'm not going to pay for that.

I was driving, and my car started slowing down smoking under the hood with a loud noise under the hood like a knocking sounds. Then I heard a loud bang. Paid a tow company to tow my car to the shop mechanic found a large hole in the block. Last oil changed was 03/16/2023. I called acura to see if a recall had been reported after learning about other people having the same issues. It didn't seem normal for a car to blow a block that had oil in it and only 99,000 miles on the engine. Now my car is in the shop and I have been paying to get the engine replaced.
