My car is been vibrating and shaking for over a year now, and everytime I took it to certified Tesla service, they brought it back to me telling me they can't feel anything, and that there is noting to fix. After the fifth time, they suddenly tells me that I got into a hole in the road and that is why it's shaking, also, the car had a message on the screen saying that the air pressure can't lift the vehicle, and it made a huge noise, I had to call a tow truck to take it to Tesla center. NOW, they are telling me that a mouse ate the hose, and that will cost me $9000. I can't pay that much money, and it's not OK. Can you please contact me as soon as possible and help me solve this problem? Thank you, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While entering an intersection, a vehicle with a stop sign decided to to not stop. I went to use the horn in my 2023 Model X, and slamming the airbag with my hand did nothing. EVERY car in the WORLD has the horn as the center via the airbag. Tesla must recall ALL vehicles without a horn in the center. Lack of use of the horn severely impairs my ability to operate my vehicle.

On [XXX], I visited the Tesla Brooklyn Showroom to purchase a new Tesla Model X. I tendered a valid, notarized promissory note for $128,487.79 as full payment for the vehicle. Under UCC § 3-310, a promissory note is a negotiable instrument payable on demand, legally considered a cash equivalent. Despite fulfilling my payment obligation, the vehicle was not delivered. On May 10, 2025, I returned to the showroom to deliver an enforcement packet, which included the promissory note, an Affidavit of Lien, and a UCC-1 Financial Statement. When I arrived, I attempted to hand these documents to the General Manager, Dylan Karlok, but he instructed a staff member named Marcel to throw away the legal documents and refused to accept them. This act was captured on video. Due to Tesla’s refusal to deliver the vehicle despite valid payment, I have been left without reliable transportation. The manager also falsely claimed that I did not have the funds to purchase the vehicle, which has damaged my credibility and caused significant emotional distress. I am requesting the immediate delivery of the originally ordered Tesla Model X, compensation for damages, and a formal acknowledgment from Tesla regarding the mishandling of the payment. My 2021 Tesla Model X has a serious safety issue with the driver’s door. When opened, the door swings freely with no support or soft-close resistance and can slam shut or fling wide open unexpectedly. This poses a danger to passengers and nearby people or property. I believe this issue may relate to a latch or hinge mechanism malfunction, and I am concerned about the lack of a safety interlock. I have reported this to Tesla, and they have not acknowledged it as a warranty or safety concern. I am submitting this complaint in the interest of safety for myself and other drivers of this model. I have videos and more detail but this site only allows static photos.

In multiple cases in California. The small button for the digital horn was impossible to reach or activate an emergency situations. This occurred to me and my wife while I’m parking lots and on roads when other vehicles threatened to hit us. The mechanical horn was removed as a cross cutting measurein the model X and it is a major safety hazard.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to inform you of a recurring issue I am experiencing with the power steering in my 2022 Model X Plaid. This problem began on [XXX] and has progressively worsened. Initially, the power steering would function normally for approximately 30 minutes of driving. It would work fine when starting in the morning or when the car was cool. However, after driving about 15 miles, the power steering would completely fail, and a warning message would appear indicating that extra effort was required. Recently, the power steering now fails every time I drive. Based on my research, this appears to be a common problem with Tesla vehicles, and I understand a recall has been issued for some model years, although not for the year of my vehicle. I intend to have this issue addressed and repaired through Tesla service. However, I wanted to make you aware of this problem as it seems to be a known issue that is now affecting my 2022 X Plaid as well. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While driving my Model X 2022 I noticed the warning "Steering assist reduced, Steering may require increased effort". I was then at a red light and I started to make a left turn and I could BARELY turn the wheel it was like it was almost locked up. Luckily I had enough strength and I was driving into a parking lot where I needed to have my car towed. Tesla service just said there was moisture in the steering wheel connector and they just cleaned it up and connected it. They test drove it and said it's fine. 4 days later I was driving it on the highway and I got the message again and I had my daughter in the car and was terrified. Luckily the steering did not lock up and just drove it home. I have messaged Tesla to see next steps, but when I look at the forums this has been happening A LOT! This is a huge safety concern and I don't feel Tesla is properly handling it based on all the reviews I have read...

On my 2023 Tesla Model X, the horn button is a capacitive touch button among several other buttons and it is difficult to use on a daily basis and impossible to find in an emergency. Yesterday, another car was drifting into my lane on the highway traveling at 70 MPH and I could not locate the horn in time to alert them. I had to drive evasively to avoid a serious accident. This has happened at least 7 separate times already. 2024 Tesla Model Xs now have the button in the center of the steering wheel where it is on every other car I have ever driven. Yesterday, I contacted Tesla service about this critical safety issue and demanded the replace my steering wheel with a center horn button because of the document safety issues. They refused. There needs to be a recall forcing Tesla to replace these defective steering wheels with the new and safe design before people get killed.

I am reporting a potential safety issue with my Tesla Model X. When the vehicle is placed in reverse with the steering wheel turned to full lock, it unexpectedly initiates self-movement without any driver input. I raised this issue with Tesla Service, and they responded with the following statement: "We are aware of this and [it is] currently a known software characteristic at this time. It is under investigation and to be resolved with a future software update." Tesla has acknowledged this issue but has not provided a timeline for a fix. Safety Concerns: This unexpected movement can pose a serious safety risk in environments where precise control is needed, such as driveways, parking lots, and tight spaces. It could indicate a malfunction in the vehicle’s drive-by-wire system, creating potential hazards for drivers and pedestrians. There is no way to predict or prevent this movement without significant driver intervention, increasing the risk of collisions or unintended acceleration incidents. Request for Investigation: Since Tesla has already acknowledged this as a known issue, I urge the NHTSA to investigate its potential safety risks. If this is affecting multiple vehicles, Tesla should be required to release a timely fix rather than leaving owners waiting for an undefined future software update.

The horn is a button on the top right of the yoke steering. With a turning wheel the position is not stationary and in situations where it is warranted to warn other vehicle or person you keep looking for it and get distracted. I have had this vehicle for about three weeks and I find this as a serious safety issue. Today I contacted Tesla and it seems they have a new steering that come with manual horn in the middle but they would not replace it without charging $2000 for it or there is some defect like peeling on it. There are numerous online chats where people have got it replaced citing safety reason. In my view this should be under the recall especially when there is an option.

The Horn location is not in center of steering wheel, rather a small button on the right side of the wheel. Cannot be found without looking down for button during a turn. Someone is going to get hurt.

The steering wheel doesn't comes with a horn. Meaning on a regular car, when you need the just press the airbag but in Tesla there a tiny button needs to press in order to get the horn which is impossible to do in case of an emergency.

Phantom Breaking and vehicle slow down events occur near daily when using the highway when adaptive cruise control is engaged. The vehicle will abruptly try to stop, or slow down aby 5-10 MPH. This has caused several close calls with other drivers on the highways. Date of the incident is the latest. In the last two weeks prior to the incident, it has occurred at least 6-10 times.

The tire blow up on the freeway while driving with no impact, collision or any warning or any external factors, it’s very well documented all over the internet that Model X Tesla have serious Tire problems associated with faulty tire pressure system TPMS and in accurate tire reading as well with a car alignment that don’t compensate or adjust for the air suspension height changes that is available within the car settings and that causes a rapid and dangerous uneven tire wear that could lead to a tire failure on the road while driving. Tesla just recently recalling 700,000 cars with tire pressure issues and my car is effected as well because we never received any warning before the blowout. We did inspect the tire and documented everting showing no evidence of any that went through the tire to cause it go flat, the car is 8 month old and everything is fairly new and we should never have to deal with such and event that almost got us killed on the freeway, also since we were forced to exit the freeway for our safety driving on a flat tire that did cause a serious damages to the tire and vehicle with no spare wheel available to get it replaced on the spot to prevent any further damages, the car is not safe to be driven with serious Tire Pressure and bad alignment that comes from the factory that don’t match the suspension profile selected by the user that puts lots of unnecessary stress on the tire that causes a serious dangerous event to happen anytime. Tesla is refusing to take any responsibility for this issue even though it’s very well documented and we end up with a $4500 bill, something that we never should be responsible for. Also Tesla manager Oliver Ftankcom suggested that it’s ok to risk our lives staying in the car and not move it after a flat tire so we don’t cause more damages to the car, but we would of been killed on the freeway waiting for 4 hours for a tow truck to show up, so we had no choice but to exit the freeway for safety with a spare tire.

The front passenger heat seat is automatically turned on whenever car is turned on from phone. This time when driving in the evening there was a burning smell for 1 hour which I thought was from the vents. Then the passenger seat started smoking and the fumes were so bad that I could not breathe. No one was in the passenger seat at that time thank goodness. It created a hole in the seat. Tesla will replace the seat under warranty, but service center is 2 hours away.

On two occasions while driving using Tesla’s FSD, the brake has failed to engage in emergency situations after engaging the brake pedal. I have reported this issue to Tesla as part of a broader buy back request for my car which has had multiple issues and continues to have multiple issues. Tesla simply stated they could not replicate this issue and denied my buyback request. I do not feel safe driving this car around.

Windshield cracked due to defrosting; yes available for inspection upon request. If the windshield shatters due to defrosting this is serious safety risk and what can happen while driving is limited less. Vehicle was inspected by Tesla located in Peabody, Massachusetts and the representative stated they are aware, and this is why they tell customers to warm the vehicle up before turning on defrosting, in all the vehicles I've owned windshield cracking from defroster being on has never happened or been an issue. Also through research I found other Tesla owners have experienced similar. No there were no warnings of this happening outside of reading other Tesla owners experiencing this similar situation.

This is a serious safety concern regarding the full self driving auto pilot for this vehicle. While traveling on a clear day on [XXX] at around 1630 hrs on [XXX], with the full self driving auto pilot engaged, the vehicle on 2 separate occasions attempted to lane change across the center divide and into the opposite traffic lane; both time required immediate corrective action on my part. This was a very scary experience. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2025 Model X has a feature commonly called "one pedal drive", where lifting pressure off the gas pedal causes regenerative braking force. This feature is *forced on* at all times, and is unsafe in slippery icy conditions, especially turns, especially downhill. I don't know if this is because of a malfunction of their regen-braking anti-lock (the ABS equvialent), or because it's simply not possible to drive safely in slippery conditions with one-pedal-drive regen braking... but either way, this situation is unsafe. I urge you to investigate this situation, and consider issuing a recall requiring Tesla to perform a software update to give drivers the ability to turn off one-pedal-drive, for safety in snowy and icy conditions. NOTE: Tesla's owners manual for the Model Y recommends drivers disable one-pedal-drive by turning regenerative braking to LOW, but they have disabled the ability to do this on all Model S/X cars 2020+. From their Model Y owners manual: "Warning: In snowy or icy conditions, Model Y may experience loss of traction during regenerative braking, particularly when in the Standard setting and/or not using winter tires. Tesla recommends using the Low setting in snowy or icy conditions to help maintain vehicle stability." Here is a video example of this happening to a driver (not me) for reference. This is snow not ice, and not even in a turn or downhill. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
