To avoid the risk of death or severe personal injury, do not directly spray Silicone-based lubricant or grease, or inadvertently overspray Silicone-based lubricant or grease onto any interior electrical components. These types of lubricants can be detrimental to the proper operation of electrical components.

  12 VOLT BATTERY TESTING FOR IN-SERVICE VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION The following Service Information lists NNA procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect “Test with DCA” and “Replace” results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. IMPORTANT:  CPX-900 is now an accepted testing tool to use along with or in place of the DSS-5000  CPX-900 operating instructions are found at: https://nissancpx900.midtronics.com/  DSS-5000 operating instructions are found at: https://nissandss5000.midtronics.com/  DCA-8000 is now a required testing tool to be used for all warranty replacement decisions. The DCA-8000 is also a more efficient charger than previously available, and will charge any available 12 volt lead acid battery safely and accurately as long as all precautions and inputs are made correctly.   Trailer Hitch Owner’s Manual Supplement & Label Voluntary Service Campaign *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a service campaign (PC928) to provide owners of certain 2022 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SV Long Wheel Base vehicles with a supplement to be placed with the Owner’s Manual and a warning label to be applied to the trailer hitch. In addition, under service campaign (PC975), Nissan will provide owners of certain 2022-2023 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SV Long Wheel Base vehicles with a supplement to be placed with the Owner’s Manual (Note: these hitches were previously labeled and these owners do NOT require a warning label for the trailer hitch). The information contained in the Owner’s Manual supplement revises or adds to the “Towing a Trailer”, Towing Safety”, “Trailer hitch” and “Class IV hitch” sections of the “Technical and consumer information” section of the Owner’s Manual. The supplement and the label will remind current and future operators that the trailer hitch should not be removed or replaced. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. If a dealer receives a supplemental Owner’s Manual addendum for a vehicle they have retailed, currently have in their new vehicle or pre-owned inventory, or a Nissan Rental Car (NRC), the dealer should either forward the owner’s manual addendum to the current owner or add the addendum to the Owner’s Manual in the glove box of any affected vehicle they currently control.

  MANUAL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTMENT DOES NOT LOCK INTO POSITION IF YOU CONFIRM The seat track latching pawls for a front seat (left or right) are not synchronized.  The inboard track latches, but the outboard track does not latch unless the seat is pushed/pulled into position. HINT: The customer may report the following if this issue should occur:  The seat track seems loose when braking or accelerating.  The seat track is difficult to lock in place.  After adjusting the seat track, it shifts/locks into place while driving. ACTION Adjust/synchronize the outboard seat track following the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin.

  DTC B2E1B-06 (AUTOMATIC ECALL) STORED AS CURRENT IN IVC SERVICE INFORMATION The APPLIED VEHICLES that come equipped with a factory installed SOS switch, located near the overhead map lamp, also come equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). With an active NissanConnect® Services subscription, the TCU communicates with the Nissan Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. 1. When diagnosing DTC B2E1B-06 (AUTOMATIC ECALL) on an APPLIED VEHICLE:  If DTC B2E1B-06 is not “CRNT” in the IVC, DO NOT replace the TCU. Erase the DTC. No further steps are needed.  If DTC B2E1B-06 is “CRNT” in the IVC, replace the TCU. o Refer to the ESM: REPAIR > DRIVER INFORMATION & MULTIMEDIA > AUDIO, VISUAL & NAVIGATION SYSTEM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > TCU

  Tire Replacement *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is updating the temporary Quality Assurance hold (PC972) on 723 specific 2023 Nissan Titan and Frontier vehicles identified in Service Comm to a dealer inventory Quality Action to replace all five (5) tires (including spare tire). Due to a manufacturing issue, which since has been corrected, the bead area of tires on affected vehicles may have been sliced during mounting, which could allow the rubber to separate from the bead steel reinforcement and potentially lead to tire rupture. Nissan’s investigation into this mounting issue is continuing at this time. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. PC972 • New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign).  Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information • Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Please do not drive, loan, sell or trade the specific vehicles in dealer inventory subject to this quality action. 3. Use the attached procedure to remedy any vehicles affected by this quality action prior to sale. 4. Once remedied, dealers should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed in Service Comm and release the vehicle for sale.

This commitment requires Nissan to periodically place certain vehicles on temporary Quality Assurance (QA) Hold to ensure that these vehicles, as delivered to our customers, meet our exacting standards and our customers’ expectations.
